Booked a room with river view. The room smelled musty and wasn’t cleaned well. The window was extremely dirty so defeated the purpose of having a river view. We were moved to a room two doors down and that one was a little worse. The phone didn’t work and the bathroom was dirty. We were finally able to move to one of the renovated rooms which… Read more

We were moved to a room two doors down and that one was a little worse. The phone didn’t work and the bathroom was dirty. We were finally able to move to one of the renovated rooms which I guess there are some of those and it was a little better with new bedding and some furniture. The lamp didn’t work by the bed but we could see out the window. Just not what we expected for the price and for a Sheraton. Scratching this one off the list. Read less

Took forever to check-in. Twice, AFTER dinner, we were told our room wasn’t ready. Then for the next two nights-they NEVER cleaned our room. Both nights upon return from our meetings we were told oops, sorry, it’s too late to get someone here, we’ll send clean towels. What? Where was management? How is this acceptable for a Sheraton? Would… Read more

I'd say that this hotel was adequate. I'd checked in using the Marriott app, so the process of getting my keys was easy, although the front desk staff wasn't particularly speedy. The room was fine. The bathroom was OK with painted tile in the shower/tub and a big counter. The sink didn't drain well. Bed was comfortable but I heard a decent amount… Read more

We booked a king room through hotwire. Upon arrival around noon, well before the 3 or 4 pm check-in, the very nice man at the reception desk said he didn't have a king bed but could put us in a double room on the 22nd floor facing the river. It was AWESOME!! The room had been updated (I ready MANY complaints on TripAdvisor about rooms at this… Read more

It was AWESOME!! The room had been updated (I ready MANY complaints on TripAdvisor about rooms at this hotel needing update but not ours!) and the beds were very comfortable and what a view we had! The location simply could not be better, and we've stayed all over downtown Chicago over the years. I'd love to stay there again anytime! Read less

I was in Chicago for a work conference and didn't choose this hotel. Stayed there for 3 nights, on the last night at 10:30pm security came banging on my door saying there was a problem with the payment for the room, and I needed to come downstairs immediately. I asked him to wait while I got dressed because I was in my pajamas. Not even a minute had gone by and he banged on my door again, because I was alone in my room, and 7 months pregnant, I started to get worried, I told him to hold on, and called a friend from another room and asked her to meet me so that I didn't have to go alone. He continued to bang on the door until my friend arrived. I go downstairs with the security guard being escorted in my pajamas like I'm some sort of criminal. Once I got to the main desk, I gave them my card information and asked what the problem was, and they said whoever checked us in didn't collect the card information like they were supposed to. Then they informed me that they charged me $200 for the 4 phone calls I made to my husband because my iPhone broke my first night into the trip, because the WiFi in the hotel room went out while I was doing a phone update. I tried to explain to the girl at the front desk, asking for them to cut me a break, because I was alone in a city that I didn't know, 7 months pregnant, and just wanted to call my husband and the apple store so I could get my phone fixed. She said "phone calls cost money." And shrugged her shoulders. So, I paid it, and I tried to go back up to my room only to find out that they deactivated my room key, amidst all the credit card confusion, so I had to go back downstairs in my pajamas. Eventually the manager came over and helped me out after I had a mental breakdown and started hyperventilating in their lobby. It shouldn't have taken that type of reaction to get someone to help me, I told them multiple times that I was pregnant and alone at this work conference and just wanted to make a couple calls to my husband and asked them for help and they didn't care until I caused a scene because I was crying.
