Good - beautiful, clean & nice views. Older set up ( no usb plugs ) small washrooms. Our room had a weird angle had to really tilt the tv. Close to a lot of things the bean, good restaurants etc. Nice indoor pool but what a job to find it. Bad - no fridge. Just there “touch it” ( motion sensors ) and pay fridge and snack center. Small Pringle’s $8!!! Not cool in 2020 to have this - esp with kids. Rushed - 7 hr drive wanted to use valet ( told to self park ) need help with luggage ( get a sigh and “ok” ) checked in with app - told not working had to line up. No instructions where was what. Broken - our kids DVD player. When it made its way to our room. 1 hr to talk with the luggage people, manager on duty ( Andrew was very helpful ) and then security. To be fair they did refund us for the player. But that made the check in more of a pain. Over all a good hotel. Customer service was hit or miss. Didn’t use any hotel restaurants ( we always avoid them if possible ). Read less

An absolute nightmare! Even after completing the post-stay survey the hotel sent and listing the multitude of issues and problems during my stay, I received a stock response from a front desk supervisor. I value feedback from others on Trip Advisor and hopefully my feedback is helpful. Read less
Image of the Tripadvisor rating Business Hotel, nothing fancy but nice gym and pool

The hotel probably deserves 4 stars, but it was the overall experience, prompt customer service and the nice gym and pool that earned them the extra star. Checkin was a breeze. The staff extremely helpful with an early check in and very courteous compared to US standards (not to compare to Asia obviously). The hotel is well maintained, rooms were clean and equipped with nice Starbucks coffee, complimentary bottle of water and nice comfortable bed. However, the room was slightly small and bathroom toiletries could have been a bit better. As I mentioned earlier, the gym and pool area were nice and it is always great to get some exercise in when on business travel. The location is awesome and in walking distance from major attractions like the millennium park. Cons: I had a lower floor and the view was not that great. But I am not complaining. The heating was bad - after a while the room was getting really hot even when the thermostat was on 68 and auto. Had to shut the heating a few times. Otherwise a nice enjoyable stay. Nothing to complain about. Read less
Image of the Tripadvisor rating Some highs, some lows

The highs: - beautiful facility on the river - food at Shula's is excellent - friendly helpful staff The lows: - the hot water is non-existent - get ready for a lukewarm (at best) shower - old bones - they supposedly refurbished the rooms, but instead they simply painted, put in new carpet and possibly a new bed. The bathrooms are old and the furniture is old (but that's ok). - concierge lounge - nice room, absolutely terrible selection of food. The eggs for some reason taste like they have saw dust in them, no bacon or sausage - cold cuts, fruit - melon, no berries or the like, I guess they have a pretty good bread selection (which I don't eat). But clearly the worst run concierge I have experienced in a long time. - fitness facility - small and cramped for a hotel this size. I'll probably look for a different location next time I am in Chicago. Read less
Image of the Tripadvisor rating Nice location, nice staff, expensive for the room

The hotel is in an ideal spot. Right by the water and so close to parks, restaurants and so much to do. It was a tiny room where everything in it cost extra though. Overall I would stay again as the ideal location helps make up for the room.
