This was my second stay at the River Street Inn and it won’t be my last. From the moment of check in, the staff is kind, helpful, and feels like an inviting family. There were lovely little perks offered immediately, such as free wine down stairs, but I ventured over to my room instead. I had a jr suite with a city view and it was PERFECT for me.… Read more

Really disorganized. This was our first stay and they didn’t make valet directions clear and I took my keys with me, only to have to run back in the rain to give the valet my keys. I came in drenched and they knew who I was and didn’t offer me a towel or paper towels. We requested an iron so we could iron clothes before we went to Good Friday… Read more

I came in drenched and they knew who I was and didn’t offer me a towel or paper towels. We requested an iron so we could iron clothes before we went to Good Friday service and never got it, so I had to go ask for it from one of the service ladies in the hallway. Our first destination card didn’t work on the elevators when we first arrived and being that it was our first time being there made it hard to know if it was something we were doing wrong or something wrong with the card. We had to wait for another guest to get on the elevator to help us. Overall, for the price we paid it was TOTALLY not worth it. It was worth half that price. Read less

Great location! Close to everything we wanted to experience. We loved having front, side & back access points to surrounding areas. Historic & yet up to date amenities!! Very comfortable bed. Television channel selection very limited (while regrouping for next outing).

We recently returned here for our 46th wedding anniversary. The Inn is an old warehouse/office building that has been extensively renovated. When we last visited, parking was not a problem. Apparently downtown parking has become more scarce, so the Inn has contracted with a nearby garage to house its guests' cars. They have started a valet service for parking, and it is well worth it. We left our car for the three days we were there and walked everywhere. Our room was large with a window overlooking River Street and the Savannah River. My only complaint with the room was there was a lack of electrical outlets. It is an old building, remember. Also, the elevator was out of service until our last day, four flights of stairs down to River Street. There were some maintenance issues (light in shower was off, a lamp that needed repair, and no drain plug in the sink). I reported them, and within an hour, Justin Robertshaw, the maintenance supervisor, was there to find out what was needed. He couldn't have been more helpful. Housekeeping was a little lax the first day (no clean glasses), but spot on the second day. We will return again for a stay in this historic Inn. Read less

There was dust everywhere. When we complained about the mold we were just told they would make a note of it. The elevator broke the first night we were there and it took 3 days to fix. It is a beautiful old building but is in dire need of renovation and cleaning. Great location by the river. Read less
