We stayed at Mansion on Forsyth last weekend, and it was not until we check out that I could bring myself to read any reviews if this property was haunted. I experienced the exact same experience as the reviewer, Bmv8 posted in April 2019. It was around 3am our first night there and was awoken by what I thought was a dream, or some state in between. There was a dark shadow of an arm holding me down and when I tried to reach out for my husband and scream, nothing would come out and I couldn't breathe. When it released me, I was gasping for air and my heart was racing. I thought it could not be true until I read the other reviews, and then knew this paranormal experience had happened to me too. It was a lovely property, clean and friendly staff, but I could not stay here again, after that encounter, which now I truly believe to be true! Read less

Everything was perfect from the moment we pulled into the driveway to leaving. Check-in without a problem. While the Valet cost of $39 seems high, I have paid more elsewhere. Given a quiet room with Tub and separate shower. The comfortable bed was like home. Breakfast each day was Magnificent. Great choices and all we ate were perfectly prepared.… Read more

We just returned from a two night stay at Mansion on Forsythe. We are very happy we chose this hotel in the historic district over other hotels. Especially glad we didn't stay near River st. The location of this hotel is perfect for walking everywhere and park is so beautiful!! We loved our stay here and will definitely return. Our rooms were clean and large. Super comfy bed and we loved the whirlpool bathtub!! Great view of the park. Can't emphasize enough how warm and friendly the staff was. They all went out of their way to help us. The front desk staff was amazing and so kind and helpful. We enjoyed the park, the pool and daily complimentary bikes. Unfortunately we didn't get a chance to try the restaurant. Next time. We can't wait to return. Thank you for your incredible hospitality Read less

This was my second stay at this hotel. The first was during a raging COVID so I forgave a lot. This time I feel that the good and the bad is necessary. I asked for a high floor and got a ground floor room. The room, 105, was spacious but dark. Always dark. I went to the front desk to get two complimentary bottles of water included in a $30 per day resort fee. Yes, you have to go to the front desk and wait in line to get the water. Then I asked where the ice machine was while at the front desk. One person behind the desk said that he would get me ice and asked what room I was in. I told him 105 and went back to my room as I was waiting for some food that I ordered to arrive. After 10 minutes I again went to the font desk and the ice bucket was waiting for me THERE. It would have never gotten to my room. When I asked the woman at the desk whether my food arrived, she said no but I could rest assured that when it came she would send it to my room. After waiting 30 minutes more, I called the restaurant. They told me that the order was delivered hot awhile ago. I went to the front desk and spoke to the man who had promised the ice whether any food had come for me. He said yes and that he had put it in the office behind the front desk, not in my room. Nor had he called me or left me a note that it had arrived. I asked the woman at the desk if she could put my voucher into my record for check out. She said no problem. It was done. When I checked out this morning, no record or note or copy of my voucher was on the bill. The accounting department is looking into my bill after I again gave them the voucher number on check out. My credit card was already charged for the full stay and ignored my voucher. To be clear, the valets were excellent as was the front desk staff on check in in the late afternoon. The evening shift front desk staff did not know what was going on and did not follow through on ANYTHING that I discussed with them nor did they do the most normal things when hot food was delivered for a guest. I ate the food cold. Really shocking. Read less
