An excellent location to Fedex Forum and Beale St. for a Grizzlies game- we were able to walk to everything! Also very close to other attractions - Memphis Redbirds play right across the street and Charlie's Rendezvous for BBQ was only a couple blocks away. Definitely would recommend!

I am a loyal Hilton brand customer and tend to stay at Hilton related properties. As such I chose the DoubleTree downtown Memphis. First the positive: everyone I interacted with was very friendly. They all seemed genuine and sincere. Front desk staff very polite. The lobby has clearly had a make over and looks stylish and inviting. Now the negative: The rooms are not nice and clearly lack any money in maintenance or improvements. The only thing in the room that was positive that it had a comfortable bed. However the paint was chipped and peeling. Water stains on every wall. Shower handle broken. No covers on toilet screws. It was plain nasty. They need to either pull these rooms out if service or remove the doubletree / Hilton name. This hotel is not up to Hilton standards. I would not recommend staying at this hotel if you have a choice. Flew into Memphis with meetings on Friday morning and stayed through Monday so wife came with me. The location was fantastic because everything we were interested in was within walking distance from the hotel so we were not constantly looking for parking and we had a great time on Beale Street. On Saturday and Sunday spent most of the day watching NFL Playoff games at Hooters which was a couple blocks away and also highly recommend for televised sports events as they had plenty TV's and set the volume so we could hear the game as well. Monday morning just relaxed in the hotel until check out and trip to the airport. Everyone from check in to check out were great, friendly and courteous. Thought Valet parking was a bit high priced but after checking it was worth it for the convenience and quick service when we did need the car, which was not very much given the perfect location of the Hotel. I would most defiantly stay again. Read less

Rooms are small and outdated. But clean, and short walk to Beale St so location is nice. The valet service was super quick on leaving. The welcome cookie tasty, so there is that...lol Overall, for the price expected more.

We had a great experience at this reasonably priced hotel in the heart of Memphis near all the hot spots. We were on a an Ole Miss college visit, and we couldn't have been happier with the friendly staff and great recommendations for restaurants and entertainment. I don't know why we would ever stay elsewhere!!!!
