Booked and prepaid through discount travel site. Upon arrival they could not find reservation...so this review isn’t about the reservation issue. Place was clean, check in staff pleasant. Room 328 with one bed and two refrigerators. A previous guest left takeout, ants. Even on the 3rd floor. They offered to spray but I’d have to vacate the room a while and I was exhausted...surely after the source is removed the ants would go away. Shower was awesome, two sprayers and tons of volume of water. Iron was a steam iron, nice touch. Bed comfortable, true blackout drapes. Next day at desk the staff wasn’t so nice. So it really is hit or miss. Shuttle service does not always pick up where they say they will so when you see a bus/van come in...chase it down if you want a ride back to the hotel. I didn’t dine at any of their restaurants or go to the theater- same thing showing on TV. Nor did I use the pool or business center, not even the fitness room. Graceland and the heat had me tuckered out. If you have ever been to Dollywood DreamMore...it has the same kind of feel. Hopefully the dot com site will refund my money since I could not use their reservation. Read less

There is no doubt that the hotel is elegant-looking, but as of early 2022, it leaves a bit to be desired. Perhaps this is due to COVID, but in that case they need to update their information. We did have a good experience with check-in from Landon, who provided our best service at the whole hotel. Self-parking is $10 and valet is $13, and mind you -- they have no luggage carts unless you do valet. (???) We had already parked, so we hauled our heavy baggage up to the room. Seriously? Inexpensive hotels have luggage carts. There is also a $13 daily resort fee for "business center, internet, fitness center" -- we did use internet, but it was slow and unreliable; our TV disconnected from Netflix mid-program and we couldn't log back on. I was supposed to get a resort fee credit through my booking service but the hotel charged me full price. The first night we were relieved that we could order room service after our second day of driving 10 hours. [Needle scratching on record] I couldn't find the menu, so I called downstairs and was told curtly "There's no room service. You have to come down." There was ONE option open by then -- EB's, which was noisy and crowded. Food was OK, although the server knew nothing about and couldn't even explain the beers they had (and there was no drink menu), so we had to go up to the bar and peer at the tap handles to figure out what they had. The bathroom is great (rainshower was wonderful) and beds were super comfortable. There was a mini-fridge, but when I went to put our sodas in it, it wasn't running and looked really old inside. The next morning we had breakfast at Delta's -- rather pricey at $22 per person for nicer, but not THAT much nicer, than the buffet I'd been having at Fairfield Inn. There was an omelet station, but the cook wasn't making eye contact with anyone and had a tip jar out ... we passed on that. The shuttle driver to Graceland was WONDERFUL and so hospitable -- a breath of fresh air. After Graceland we were exhausted and wanted to grab a cold drink and relax in our room (no room service, remember). I went to the "Cantina" (vending machine room) but there were only snacks. Went to the lobby and found nothing except a locked refrigerator at the "grab and go" restaurant/cafe. Asked information if we could get a bottle of water somewhere and he said the vending machines were being traded out so we had to go to the bar at EP's. I went to the lounge by mistake and stood there for 5 minutes with no one in sight. Then I went into EP's and stood at the bar there behind another lady. The bartenders were rushing around and did not acknowledge us the whole time we were there. I gave up and went to the front desk. This time he said try the vending on 3 and 5, he thought drinks had been set up there. So after at least 20 minutes and visiting 6 locations in the hotel, I secured two bottles of water for $5. For $250 a night you'd think they could give us water if they make it so difficult? (Memphis water tastes soft and bleachy.) Also, there are no nice restaurants anywhere nearby. We found one about 15 minutes away and had a real education on the way back about poverty in Memphis, which was not our intention but provided a sobering backdrop to our Graceland trip. In a nutshell -- the hotel is nice but feels like it's teetering on the edge of getting more decrepit. The service, particularly food, and little things like luggage carts, vending and room service, leaves much to be desired. Next time I would stay elsewhere. Read less

Nice hotel. Shuttle to and from the airport and Graceland included. Everyone was super polite! The rooms were clean and spacious. The pool area was also nice and kept clean. There are 2 restaurants on site, they are very short staffed and service takes a while.

I booked this hotel to bring my parents - my step-dad is a big Elvis fan. Although the hotel is a great location to Graceland, and the shuttle service there was excellent, there are a few things that need sorting… especially the food and beverage service… for example… 1- ordered a Sauvignon Blanc in the EP bar, this was not understood and I had to write it on the order pad for them. Only to be given Chardonnay (I know this sounds fussy, but it’s the principle here, I’d like what I’d ordered). I did drink it (as it took a while to get), and knew it was wrong, for them to admit it was wrong the next day. 2- cocktail at the EP bar (blue Hawaiian) didn’t apparently taste like it had any of the alcohol in it. Maybe this was meant to be how it was, I don’t know. 3- first breakfast… ran out of orange juice. How is this normal for a place like this?? Attention to us was slow. Not offered juice etc in a timely manner. 4- trying to flag someone down for a cheque, to then be given to pen, then the pen didn’t work, so had to find something else. Again, just didn’t have attention to detail/care. 5- lobby lounge, first went there, one person on the bar, clearly couldn’t cope with the amount of people. Would prefer to see to the gentlemen than myself who had been there longer. Disappointed. Had to be forceful to be noticed and then point the bar person to the next actual person to be seen. I saw other customers leaving due to the waiting time. 6- lobby lounge again, another night; people queuing at the bar for when it opens at 5pm. It didn’t. I appreciate it was bad weather that day and the person might’ve struggled to get there in time BUT, a plan should have been in place. You need more people. I spoke to front desk, don’t just get on the phone and blame food and beverages and say that “they’re letting you down” - physically go find a solution, look like you’re doing something for your guests! 7- EP bar - since there was no one in the lobby lounge, there was clearly pressure put on the staff in EP bar. Other customers (plus myself), was frustrated in the time to be served. Very sub-par. 8- second breakfast - ran out of English breakfast tea. Again, how?? This is standard stuff! I asked for milk with the tea (assuming at this point there was tea before being advised not), and was then delivered a whole glass of milk. Please use some logic… or if that can’t be done, ask? 9- given the cheque to sign, had to stop waiter from running off to give us a pen, only for a pen not to work. I know this is silly. But it just adds to the chaos and unprofessional service we’ve experienced. Overall, very disappointed after trying to make this a trip to remember for my parents. This was on their bucket list and I feel very very let down. Note to hotel…. please please please get proper staff; and staff well on food and beverages. This is the element very much letting you down. This is what people will probably remember above any other small errors. A customer shouldn’t have to tell you this, when you’re in a prime location and pride yourselves on the service and style you offer. Another note to front desk… thank you for all you do and did, but don’t start blaming different departments of the failings (this came across in a conversation I had with them). I know it is sad and frustrating, but you’re all one team. To us customers, it feels worse, we pay a lot of money for the experience and are let down, and please look like you’re doing something. FIND someone to sort things. TELL us what you’re going to do. Give feedback. Customers are clearly not happy (I witnessed more than one). The hotel overall is comfortable other than service; but I am concerned that they are capitalising on the prime location, due to apparent lack of action regarding food and beverages. Read less
