Wonderful boutique hotel. Only complaint is the elevator smells - time for the carpet to be changed! Front desk was fine and efficient, but thought could be friendlier. Wonderful boutique hotel. Only complaint is the elevator smells - time for the carpet to be changed! Front desk was fine and efficient, but thought could be friendlier. Room was excellent and had a partial view of the Mississippi River. We loved the welcome glass of wine at the front desk. Parking is free and your job to find a space or park in the rear. We were lucky and got one in front of the hotel. We walked across the street and spent time walking in the park along the Mississippi and enjoying the surrounding architecture across the street - luckily an abnormal cool front for July. We would definitely return. Read less

The rooms, waiting and common areas show lots of wear and tear. Walls and doors have marks and the carpets are old and dirty. A funky smell all the way around. Great property with poor management and lack of sufficient staff.

From the moment of our arrival to the minute we departed, The River Inn hospitality was absolutely wonderful. Incredibly attentive and friendly staff and wonderful meals at Paulette's, Tugs and The Little Bar. Top rate!

The price seemed high for wat was received. I would have preferred to stay in main building not above Tugs bet was not given that option. Good housekeeping catch when we left personal item behind. Quick contact and we were able to retrieve it.
