Lousy breakfast, ignorant service

I have traveled in business for 39 years in Europe, Asia and North America and stayed in hundreds of hotels. Some good, some excellent, but rarely loysy. But Sheraton in Memphis is now my rock bottom experience! Neve, ever have I experienced that supposedly 4-star business hotel would have such a poor breakfast offering. Plastic mugs, plastic knives, forks and spoons that were handed over the bar counter in a plastic bag! The personnel had hardly had any training as it took the waiter several minutes to charge for the three breakfast items that I picked as self service from the fridge next to the bar! No smile, no courtesy, just ignorance! The room was ok, although the sound insulation so poor that you can clearly hear every truck passing by on the nearby interstate 40 highway. Read less

Very disappointing; needs leadership and decor refresh

NEVER AGAIN ! & Thank you

First, I have to give it up to the Gentlemen who work in Valet and the Bellman they were 5 STARS !!! Professional patient and accommodating . Then I entered the hotel and proceeded to check into my room and my reservation was through a reputable third-party . I reserved a corner king room on the club lounge floor, which is typically a high floor… . I check into the hotel. The lady proceeded to tell me that the club floor doesn’t exist . My question to her was am I paying regular Price or am I paying for something that doesn’t exist ? I stay at this location at least once a year . I always request and pay for a corner king high floor, on the club floor . Typically I can see the pyramid outside of my room or a great view of downtown Memphis… But because I challenged her on this, and when I say challenge, I just showed her the reservation that clearly states corner king room on club floor… Which typically means high floor … She made sure she put me on the fifth floor with the traffic and the hotel that’s not full so I’m paying dollars for a subpar experience, but I’m not even gonna change my room because I will never be back and I’ve been staying at this property for over 30 years . Today is my birthday and I mentioned this hotel will be great for the family to stay as we prepare for my birthday weekend … I should have just stayed at the Peabody .. I usually switch between these two .. Looks like this place may have been bought by someone else .. not sure This is indeed the last time… Let’s be clear , it wasn’t what they said , clearly I understand a third-party, adding certain verbiage, , but it was how they said it. When I got my key from the front desk . She makes a conscious choice to put me on the lowest floor with the loud traffic … I basically live in hotels and traveled the world 9 months a year .. I chuckled when I got to my floor and inside to my room .. 😁🤩 I also have family staying here which includes 2-3 additional rooms. They’re all on the high floors .. The hotel looks empty But the manager and the young lady working at the cash register decided to make sure that I suffer a little bit, but I won’t suffer… I don’t care as much , not even enough to change my room or ask for a change of room. I just wont spend my dollars here ever again! Bye !!! It’s a shame. I so enjoyed this hotel for 30 years when it used to be the Marriott hotel and then at least 10 years as the Sheraton. A lot of work needed

We stayed at this hotel for three nights as a family. The restaurant was fine and the food was very good so no issues there. The location is only a 10 minute walk from Beale.Services was very good, especially reception and the lady at the car desk was just so helpful and sorted at big issue we had. We could extend the check out time for three hours after explaining our plans to visit other places. The receptionist listened to our request and understood our tourist needs. The food in the restaurant was excellent and had healthy options.
