My parents recommended this hotel and it was truly amazing. It's worth every penny and is 100 times better than any other hotel we saw in the area. It is walking distance to several beaches that are family friendly and the views are incredible. It was the best hotel we have ever been. I am going to highlight the best of the resort, in our opinion. We traveled here for a week to celebrate a “big” birthday. We splurged on an ocean view suite and it was worth every penny! It was the size of an apartment, with a separate bedroom, plenty of closet and drawer space, living room, dining room, and large bathroom with a jacuzzi soaking tub, separate shower and separate room for the toilet. The suite also had 2 outdoor seating areas. The other splurge worth every penny was the buffet breakfast. It was $39 pp. the food was delicious! There were so many different dishes to choose from. We ate there every morning before heading out to our various hikes, sailing excursions, etc. It was so convenient to eat breakfast at the resort. Breakfast was served from 6am-11am so we could get an early breakfast on the days we had early excursions planned. The other area we thoroughly enjoyed was the Seaview terrace in the evenings. There is live music from 5-9pm. It is different every night. Some nights we went there after dinner and other nights we ate a light dinner there while listening to the music. The food was fantastic. Very fresh salads, burgers and many appetizers. Our favorite music duos were: a couple who played all sorts of American music on so many different electric instruments; a Cello, a guitar, a yukele, and a few others; and The other favorite was a father and daughter duo. There names are Anson and Tia. He sings Hawaiian music and she dances the hula dances. What a gifted duo! One more shout out to the Italian restaurant at the resort, Dondero’s. When we made reservations for dinner they asked if we were celebrating an occasion. We told them we were celebrating my birthday. They treated us like royalty. Our waiter, Juan, was exceptional. And so was the food. We had a spectacular week! Read less
