1. Sheraton cancelled my reservation on the same day my agency booked it. When I called to if see if the room was ready, I was told about the cancellation and that they could not do anything, and was unwilling to resolve it. Not until my agency got a hold of front desk manager, Nick, he was able to reinstate my reservation. Thank you Nick. However, how the hell did this happen in the first place? This is the first sign of poor management of this Sheraton property. 2. Our room, the best one in the hotel, luxury oceanfront view, the most expensive one, was on the first floor. The first night, while we were sitting in the patio as it opened straight into the lawn, we had guests on the third floor first throwing water down at us, and then broken glass directly at us. We called front desk twice, the second time we called as broken glass was now being thrown down, we were told "no need to yell", when I was not even yelling. My wife was present, and she would agree with me on that as well. The next day, no manager initiated any contact, to explain, and/or apologize, or offer anything for, I would consider, major incidence as for once, we could have been injured. Not until I called multiple times after someone texted me asking for review, someone finally answered the call, and made some empty promises, and never did anything else. Customer service at Sheraton is obviously not a priority. 3. Staff were unprofessional and rude. From front desk, valet, to house keeping staff, no one cared about you. When you call to get your car from valet, they asked for my ticket number when there was none on the ticket. So they asked for my last name, and when i walked up in 15 mintues, there was no car. Finally when I asked for my car in person, one person looked at me, grabbed my ticket, and took off without saying a word. Maybe at least say "your car will be right out"? The only good thing about this Sheraton is location, as it is ocean front. We didn't try the restaurant. Bar closes at 9pm, is this a joke? Customer service is non-existent from poor management. If you enjoy being ocean front, and don't care about anything else, then this is for you, and please be prepared for some unprofessional customer service if you find any. Read less

We stayed here over Christmas break and really liked it. It is an older Sheraton but it has been renovated (I think in 2018?). It is a great location (Poipu on South shore) and is truly beachfront. Ocean view/ocean front is definitely worth it here because the hotel is actually two hotels with a street between them so the rooms on the ocean side are right there by the beach, the better pool, Rumfire Restaurant, sunset view, etc. Check in and valet is on garden side but wasn’t a big deal to us. I can’t comment on the appearance of the garden view rooms but both of our ocean rooms were very nice. Good Bonvoy hotel to use points on. Read less

Excellent location on a beautiful beach and with many restaurants and activities within a short drive. Our beach view room was clean, comfortable, spacious and nicely appointed. The grounds and common areas were very well-kept, and it’s a beautiful property. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. You never passed any of them without getting a smile and a greeting. The Link café was nice, but they only have one person manning it, so if someone ahead of you orders a coffee drink, you will have to wait even if you just want to pick something up and be on your way. A self-checkout option would be a good thing to have there for grab-and-go items. The fitness room had good, up-to-date, operational equipment. The casual poolside restaurant, Lava’s, was OK. We didn’t try Rum Fire because there was nothing on the menu that my wife who is less-than-adventurous in dining our found to her liking. For the time of year, we thought the prepaid Bonvoy member rate was a very good value. We really appreciated the first night free valet parking as we arrived in the dark after a long flight. We also liked the free self-parking option to avoid the steep daily valet parking charge. The pool was nicely designed with two main swimming areas and a large hot tub, all adjacent but separated by low rock walls making it ideal for families by allowing parents to be in one area with the ability to monitor their older children in the other. It was well-maintained and attractive, though not the largest nor most elaborate main pool for a resort of this size. Prices for anything not included are quite high as is typical of resorts. Overall, we had an excellent stay and would gladly stay here again. Read less

Location great, right on swimmable beach. We had a room that faced the ocean, which was wonderful. Thin walls-could hear the couple next door discussing real estate, not arguing. Continental breakfast for Bonvoy platinum is plain yogurt, granola, one pineapple slice with rind, and toast, a bagel, or banana bread, or you can get between $2 and $8 off a hot breakfast. Don’t get the deep fried French toast, incredibly greasy to the point of inedible. TV must be direct TV, since it froze and disappeared in the high winds we had our entire stay. Internet TV worked fine. Don’t miss the maid service the first time they come through, as they don’t seem to come back. We only got service one of the five days we were there, although in fairness, we didn’t want service the first night. Overall, a disappointment, where you feel the management’s only interest is how much money they can make off of you. Read less

We stayed at the Sheraton from Christmas to New Years. We checked in late on Christmas Day and were greeted with friendly front staff that greeted us with a lei. We had an ocean front room that I strongly recommend. A lanai with an unobstructed view of the ocean. My only wish is that there was a screen door so we could listen to the ocean at night. Our house keeper Elise was very sweet and left us notes. They were prompt every morning with cleaning our room. The room is large and comfortable. Having a mini fridge was very helpful. We booked a cabana on the beach for 2 of e days. The cost is $75 per day. There is a flag that you can Place when you would like food and drink service. We were there at the busiest time and there were still chairs available around the pool. We never had a hard time finding one. We dined at Rum Fire and loved Benji. If you have a chance to go you should meet him. He is very friendly and has great service. The hotel is close to everything. We had a car but chose to walk. Within walking distance you have Puka dogs, Keiokis, Brenneckes and Kalapaki Joes. We stay in Poipu often and enjoyed our stay. Beautiful resort, great location, wonderful staff. Read less
