My family stayed in the resort for five days and enjoyed very much with the location, scenery view and help from very friendly staff, especially Ms Olivia of the front desk and guest service. Will come back again in future.

I was charged double for an ocean view room. I paid an initial up-charge when I booked my room. When I arrived at check-in after a very long flight, I was told that they were giving me a city view room unless I was willing to pay a second up charge for the ocean view room previously paid for. They had me over a barrel, so I had to pay twice for… Read more

When I arrived at check-in after a very long flight, I was told that they were giving me a city view room unless I was willing to pay a second up charge for the ocean view room previously paid for. They had me over a barrel, so I had to pay twice for the same room that was previously reserved. There was only one restaurant open, Kirin, which was very good but Chinese food every night gets a bit tiring. There was a 45-60 minute wait to get a cup of coffee. A hotel this size really should offer more than 1 choice of restaurant.. Read less

The room cleanliness was much better than most beach resorts I have stayed at. Typically there is sand on the room floor and left in the shower. The room cleanliness was much better than most beach resorts I have stayed at. Typically there is sand on the room floor and left in the shower. This was not the case at the Regency and the room was exceptionally clean for its location! However the basics of the room were very outdated including a broken cabinet door, stains on the desk, missing couch cushions, and our balcony door was crusted over and stuck. We also noticed that our floor smelled like smoke on a few occasions, even though it was a non smoking floor. We were not told before our stay that they are remodeling the parking garage, so all the overflow has to park several blocks down at a shopping center and then walk to the resort. There is also a $50 parking fee each time you remove the car from the garage, so expenses added up quickly. There is also a $96 daily resort fee added onto the final bill that we were not expecting. Because the bottom few floors were a shopping center, it was very loud at night and we could hear music and tourist in our rooms. The COVID precautions were expected, long lines and temperature checks. No complaints there! The stay was okay, but we will not stay again for the price. Read less

Great location in the heart of Waikiki. Right across the street from the beach, so great access. Nice stores located within the hotel on the ground level, such as UGG and Urban Outfitters. Also, quick walk to Luxury Row, Waikiki Trolley, and the Honolulu Zoo. Diamond Head is only 1.6 miles away, so you can grab Lyft or Uber. Traveled during… Read more

Traveled during pandemic restrictions, so cleaning started only after fourth day of stay versus daily. Liked that restaurant and spa are onsite. Great breakfast buffet offered. Read less
