This hotel is amazing! We stayed here for the first time 5 years ago on our honeymoon and fell in love with the place! Location hard to beat also .Great access to the beach . Ensure you book room with views . Read less

I have stayed at this hotel many times and generally agree with the positive comments that other people have made. The staff are great and the amenties are good. What are the rreasons for my lower assessment this time? Firstly, the Shore Bird restaurant that use to be on the beach provided a relaxing, reasonable and diverse, but simple breakfast. The new buffet is inadequate, expensive and too formal in having waiter service for drinks in the morning. I was also a little disappointed that an already crowded pool area has further constrained the number of lounges available in the shade. Rooms are good, but have not been upgraded in years. Probably need an update in colour and look to have walk in showers. Expensive I know, but will be required at some stage. Although the staff are great, often the enthusiasm appears to be influenced by the possibility of a tip. Now I know Australia does not have a tipping culture, however, staff at the entrance rushing to help you take your bags 20 yards is a bit of an overkill. Similar to a couple of other comments, the add ons for resort fees and taxes do not appear to be totally justified. Read less
