Prince Waikiki

Honolulu, Oahu

Virgin rating

The hotel

Enjoy spectacular all-oceanfront accommodation and world-class service at the Hawaii Prince Hotel, one of Waikiki’s most desirable addresses! Boasting floor-to-ceiling windows, panoramic views of the Ala Wai Yacht Harbour and Pacific Ocean are second to none – make sure you’re around at sunset, because they get pretty breathtaking around here! What’s really unique about this stunning hotel is the five-story base that this hotel sits on which is home to restaurants, an open-air lounge, lobby, shops, everything you need for the perfect holiday. If you’re a golf enthusiast, things get even better – the 27-hole course set on Oahu’s sunny Ewa Plain, is the only one of its kind in Hawaii. Enjoy a complimentary shuttle service to and from it courtesy of the hotel and a meal at the Bird of Paradise restaurant, open for lunch and cocktails. If you’d rather be pampered, a trip to the Yamano Day Spa is recommended, specialists in ‘aesthetics’, this relaxation technique will chase any lingering cares away! Dining is varied with plenty of options on offer, kick-starting in Reef Lounge perhaps – Waikiki’s newest contemporary lounge serving great martinis.

It was a gorgeous room, we were able to enjoy the Friday night fireworks from our room, and the room was as clean and comfy. We spent most of our time at the pool which is not huge but was more than big enough for the kids to swim around comfortably. The infinity pool at the ledge does have an age minimum so that was a bit of a bummer, but it was nice to be able to order drinks and food at the pool. Read less

Visiting the Prince is like our home away from home. When you stay at the Prince you are truly Ohana. We've never gone at the Holidays, so seeing the hotel in all it's glory was wonderful. Friday night with local goods for purchase, the live music, absolutely perfect photo ops and so much more. For over 17 years my father has been traveling to Oahu for business. When he passed in March of 2022 we promised to visit and do all his favorite things. Our 1st visit back was in October '22, the outpouring of love and sympathy from the entire staff was overwhelming. Even when other friends and family visit the Prince and mention my father, the stories, memories and laughter bring us all so much comfort. This trip was no different. From the moment we pulled up being greeted by all our friends, sharing memories poolside, the hugs, just everything the entire staff does builds new lasting memories. The staff always wears a smile and is always willing to make your stay more enjoyable and memorable then one could ever imagine. Sure you can stay in Waikiki and have your "Hawaiian" experience. But if you want to take a vacation, build memories with your family and understand the true meaning of OHANA, you'll stay at the Prince. Read less

We stay at The Prince every year for my husband's holiday party. It's a 2 night stay. We stay at The Prince every year for my husband's holiday party. It's a 2 night stay. The past 2 times we have reserved a king ocean front room and the past 2 times, we end up in a room with a peek-a-boo view (example 2018) of the ocean/sunset and it is a VERY small room. We ask for a 'better' room with a view and this past visit they changed us to 3016 - a much bigger room & a great view. How come they don't check us into that room in the first place? The time before that, they said they had no more king rooms available (??) which we had reserved so we ended up in a queen room. Unhappy. Secondly, the coffee was terrible. Tasted burnt - from the coffee 'shop' on main floor and in the dining room. Coffee in room was ok. Thirdly, we went for breakfast on Sat morning in the dining room and they seat us right by the coffee/dirty dishes station - way in the corner and there are many clean tables far away from the station available. So, I ask to move us and they do right away BUT why do they do that? Just seat us at a nice table, away from the dirty dishes in the first place and leave that table for people that come when dining room is full and there is no other choice. Thank you for listening. The Aloha spirit and customer focus are "second to none." The staff are always available to serve and support. The food services are wonderful as are the staff at 100 Sails. The greeting and reception by the front desk and bell staff are seamless and represent the high standards held by the Prince. Given the high standards maintained by the hotel, their best kept secret is the phenomenal staff that serves and supports every guest and visitor. Mahalo Nui Loa and Malama Pono Read less
