We visited this property back in November 2020 for the first time. We liked it so much, we decided to honeymoon here for a return visit. We stayed longer this time and despite some minor inconveniences (ie: day spa partially open/limited housecleaning/jacuzzi whirlpool closed) we still highly enjoyed our visit. The heated pool was open and we were able to go swimming daily. Major kudos to Jennifer Hillman, the guest relations rep who ensured we had a memorable honeymoon by upgrading us to a luxurious suite. She also arranged for a special wine and cheese arrangement in our room when we arrived. Hyatt is doing something right, every employee seemed genuinely welcoming from the concierge desk (Sharla) to the housekeeping staff. We were always warmly greeted by everyone wherever we went. This time, we ordered in-room dining from the Cutthroat Saloon twice and were impressed by the quality of the food. I highly recommend the chicken orzo vegetable soup, short ribs and chopped salad. We are already planning to come back next year on our one year anniversary! Read less
Image of the Tripadvisor rating Dirty bathroom. Mold on walls. Exorbitant resort fees. Shorted on towels, glassware, coffee etc.

Our room had mold in the shower. The bathroom door was sticky above the handle with DNA, crud and grunge. This clearly shows your hotel is not clean. You had one year to go throughout the hotel and clean the rooms and you didn't do it. I guarantee it was not a one off. I assure you that if you gave me keys to random rooms, I'd find the same… Read more

You had one year to go throughout the hotel and clean the rooms and you didn't do it. I guarantee it was not a one off. I assure you that if you gave me keys to random rooms, I'd find the same unclean conditions. This is clearly a housekeeping management problem. You advertise you are a Category 6 property. The tower is far from a 6. More like a three and definitely the worst Regency I've ever stayed at. It is one thing to stop daily housekeeping services and another when you don't supply enough towels, face cloths and coffee for the days there is no housekeeping services. No glasses in room, not even cheap plastic ones. Only two paper coffee cups for three days. You advertising the tower as category six is deceptive. You collecting an exorbitant resort fee, not included in the search engine price and amenity rankings, is unfair to HONEST Hoteliers who have to compete with your deceptive way of advertising on the internet and your customers. Charging for parking on top of it all is absurd. Read less

We had a bit of a walk to get to the main section of the resort (restaurants, lobby, etc) so if you have an issue with walking, ask for a room that accommodates your needs. Our room had the usual hotel things. Mini fridge, coffee maker, hair dryer, small safe. The room was well kept with normal wear and tear (paint chipping off doors). Things are a bit different since there are covid protocols. No furniture in lobby, benches roped off to keep people from gathering, casino games separated for distancing, etc. Just know this going in. I think they did a good job and masks were worn. We received a coupon for a s'more kit and two coupons for two free drinks from Provisions. There is a filtered water dispenser in the lobby if you want to bring a refillable cup. Staff were very friendly and our check in and check out were quick. If you use the restaurants on site, I would recommend making a reservation since things are picking up some. You can't beat the location of the lake! This was our first time in Tahoe so we chose the North part. After driving around the lake we knew this was the perfect place to stay. Feels tucked in and less touristy, that's what we were looking for. The grounds are beautiful and well kept. Read less

We originally booked for 3 nights at the Hyatt, but extended an extra night to explore more of Lake Tahoe. Overall, it was an enjoyable experience. Initially, we were checked into a room that had not been used for some time (not unusual since Covid restrictions were just let up) as the room was dusty triggering my allergies. The linen was itchy enough to cause my neck to break out into a rash. Unfortunately, I also paid for the upgraded room. The next day, they were able to switch us out into a different room. Also, please note that they offer a s’mores kit and two free drinks from their Tahoe Provisions store. We didn’t realize this until my sister gave up her cards to us. We would have not known this was a free offer otherwise. Read less
