Golden Nugget Las Vegas

The hotel

Boasting some of Las Vegas’ finest rooms and suites after a $380 million dollar transformation, it’s easy to understand why. The accommodation is divided between four majestic towers with wonderful views of the Las Vegas Strip, the Spring Mountains and the hotel’s incredible pool. Then there's the Tank, as the swimming complex is known, comes complete with a shark tank, 3-storey waterslide and 13 private cabanas for hire. There’s also an infinity pool, aptly named The Hideout, which is strictly for adults only. Other temptations include a superb spa with steam rooms, sauna, massage and beauty treatments plus a state-of-the-art fitness centre to work off those American-sized portions! Several restaurants are at your disposal, including Vic and Anthony’s, one of the country’s finest steakhouses. Alternatively, head to Chart House for sumptuous seafood, Red for Pan-Asian cuisine or Grotto for Italian fare. Come sundown, Troy Liquor Bar is the place to be with a lively atmosphere, DJs and exotic cocktails. An incredible hotel with an incredible range of amenities, look out in particular for the Hand of Faith in the lobby - a 61-pound gold nugget found in Australia in 1980 with a metal detector just six inches below ground – now that’s Lady Luck at her finest!

We always go to Las Vegas and stay at the Golden Nugget for March Madness and this year we had the best bartenders yet! The sports book bar had the friendliest bartenders to date. Rod went above and beyond for every person that came up to the bar. He worked his tail off and always had a pleasant attitude and friendly smile for everyone that came up. He was always helpful and has the best attitude. We also ate at Salt Grass and the service was suburb! Our waiter Jesus was friendly, courteous, and made us feel like we were his only customers even though he attended everyone with the same grace. Shout out to both Rod and Jesus for making our stay the best!!! Read less

The hotel was very clean and it was easy to get to many things by walking. Also very easy to get an Uber when we wanted to go to the strips. Had a great time and will definitely be back to stay again in the future

Golden Nugget is great if you stay up as late as the music on Fremont. The noise level coming from Freemont Street is LOUD. We stayed in a corner suite in Rush Tower. Golden Nugget is great if you stay up as late as the music on Fremont. The noise level coming from Freemont Street is LOUD. We stayed in a corner suite in Rush Tower. VERY nice room, came with fridge, coffee/pods, 2 tv's (no robe/slippers like I had seen in a video review though). But the noise level was crazy. We brought a fan to drown out the noise and wore the provided ear plugs, but it was still loud. I would not recommend staying here if you are a light sleeper or have kids with you. The music can go until 3am. Bathroom was very big. Shower was nice, but had a VERY high step over the bathtub to get in. The pool is great. We were there during March Madness and always found lounge chairs. Lounge chairs are free in the main pool area, no need to reserve lounge chairs ahead of time. The pool water was so warm! They scan your room key to enter the pool area. And have plenty of towels available. We did not go up to the Adults-Only pool as we were told by pool staff that the lounge chairs are reservation-only and they were all booked. The servers at the pool are wonderful - but be prepared if you're bringing kids - their uniforms consists of a string thong bikini and don't leave much to the imagination (it is Vegas after all!). GN is located in about the middle of Freemont. Close to lots of budget food places - Starbucks, McDonalds, Chick-Fil-A, Steak n Shake, Dunkin Donuts. Walgreens is a block away. The ABC Store has the great deals on adult drinks. The hotel felt very safe and clean. Easy access to get an Uber/Lyft to the Strip. Read less

Hotel Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. Much more friendly than the Big Strip Hotels. We enjoyed our stay and will be back. The only negative was there were no signs in the Sports Book stating that you MUST Cash winning tickets at the Book, not at a kiosk or the Cashier.

It’s totally disgusting to see that the management of the Golden Nugget allows hookers to approach any and all guests to make a hook up then try to convince them to go up to their hotel room. These prostitutes just sit around the machines not playing taking up the games where regular people are wanting to use the machine, but they don’t let unless… Read more

These prostitutes just sit around the machines not playing taking up the games where regular people are wanting to use the machine, but they don’t let unless you talk to them, so they can try and hook up with you and continuously approach anyone for a hook up…!!! This activity is major gross and I will NEVER EVER RETURN to this place nor recommend anyone to stay at this property..!!! Read less
