The hotel

This historic hotel was built by Vegas legend, Bugsy Siegel back in 1946 and it's seen countless celebrities walk through its doors in the last 60 years, as well as being the backdrop for the original Ocean's Eleven film and Viva Las Vegas. It has an amazing location right in the middle of The Strip and near the fantastic Caesars Forum Shops, with award-winning Flamingo Go Rooms. The hotel is great for kids with its amazing Beach Club Pool. The GO Pool offers a 21+ lively pool party experience with its amazing 15-acre tropical pool paradise, which has whirlpools and four different swimming pools nestled among the lush, green foliage. Then there's the Wildlife Habitat, where the resort's eponymous flamingos hang out with turtles, swans and ducks. There's a choice of eight restaurants including Jimmy Buffet’s Margaritaville and Margaritaville Casino, featuring the 5 O’Clock Somewhere Bar. Margaritaville is as much a state of mind as it is a place. The multi-level Caribbean-themed entertainment venue offers two outdoor patios overlooking the Las Vegas Strip, a nautical-themed restaurant, five distinctive bars, live entertainment nightly (both indoors and outdoors) and a 3,000-sq ft retail store. You can also eat outside by the pool or even enjoy a spot of gambling in the pool casino located at the GO Pool! At the Margaritaville Casino at the Flamingo, guests feel the energy of the Las Vegas strip while enjoying the laid-back vibe of the islands.

Easy to find parking, customer service is friendly. Flamingo is right next to the zipline ang mini mall at the side where you able to walk and get coffee or food. Also you can walk all the way to the strip

This hotel is perfect for family’s wanting to tour the strip, it’s very central. It’s also an incredibly easy hotel to navigate your way through. The only complaint I have (because you can’t blame the weather on the hotel) is that on the Friday before Presidents‘ Day, the buffet price jumped up 5$, making it 27USD to eat brunch there and they had no signage stating that they were upping the price. Other than that, the hotel staff, all the way from the concierge to the casino bartenders were incredibly helpful, friendly and always offered advice on what transportation to use, where to eat, what shows to see, they were ALL incredible. We really enjoyed our stay at the Flamingo. We were able to stay on the top floor and had a view of the Strip. It was nice and quiet on our floor (we stayed there during the week and not the weekend). The one downside I would say about our stay here is that they have these timeshare people all over the place by the check-in and the main elevators to the rooms. Every time you walk by during the day they try to get you to sign up for their presentation. For the money I paid to stay in the hotel, I don't want to be constantly harassed into doing something I didn't come here for. I don't recall this being part of staying on the Strip, so if you want to avoid that kind of hassle, you may want to look into staying at another hotel. Other than that, location was perfect for us to do all the things we were there to do. Read less

I would never stay at The Flamingo again - ever. It is standard at The Flamingo - no coffee makers/coffee in the room! And there was hand lotion, but no hand soap. Also, we took the option of no daily housekeeping for a $10.00 credit at one of the hotel restaurants. I guess that I wasn't thinking - I was thinking "We don't need our linens changed… Read more
I would never stay at The Flamingo again - ever. It is standard at The Flamingo - no coffee makers/coffee in the room! And there was hand lotion, but no hand soap. Also, we took the option of no daily housekeeping for a $10.00 credit at one of the hotel restaurants. I guess that I wasn't thinking - I was thinking "We don't need our linens changed every day..." But it also meant no replenishment of towels and toilet paper. And no emptying of garbage cans. Awful! Also, when we asked the front desk about printing our return boarding passes - they said that they had no printers - and that we could go to the Fed Ex office there in the complex...really, seriously?? And add the fact that the buffet was open for dinner only on Fridays and Saturdays - no buffet for the evening meal through the week. Finally, we got the bill for the $40/day resort fee at the conclusion of our stay. Really, seriously?? A resort fee for a room without a coffee maker/coffee?? I think not...! Horrible place. Please, stay elsewhere. Read less
