The hotel

This historic hotel was built by Vegas legend, Bugsy Siegel back in 1946 and it's seen countless celebrities walk through its doors in the last 60 years, as well as being the backdrop for the original Ocean's Eleven film and Viva Las Vegas. It has an amazing location right in the middle of The Strip and near the fantastic Caesars Forum Shops, with award-winning Flamingo Go Rooms. The hotel is great for kids with its amazing Beach Club Pool. The GO Pool offers a 21+ lively pool party experience with its amazing 15-acre tropical pool paradise, which has whirlpools and four different swimming pools nestled among the lush, green foliage. Then there's the Wildlife Habitat, where the resort's eponymous flamingos hang out with turtles, swans and ducks. There's a choice of seven restaurants including Jimmy Buffet’s Margaritaville and Margaritaville Casino, featuring the 5 O’Clock Somewhere Bar. Margaritaville is as much a state of mind as it is a place. The multi-level Caribbean-themed entertainment venue offers two outdoor patios overlooking the Las Vegas Strip, a nautical-themed restaurant, four distinctive bars, live entertainment nightly (both indoors and outdoors) and a 3,000-sq ft retail store. You can also eat outside by the pool or even enjoy a spot of gambling in the pool casino located at the GO Pool! At the Margaritaville Casino at the Flamingo, guests feel the energy of the Las Vegas strip while enjoying the laid-back vibe of the islands.

Front desk clerk confirmed that we had two queen beds, but we ended up with 1 king bed. Line up to check in took over an hour so it was impossible to go back to the front desk to inquire what happened. Otherwise the room was fairly decent. Very convenient location.

My experience with the hotel, overall, was just okay. The lower rating is mainly due to how my billing was managed. In summary, the card used to hold the room was the card I wanted to pay for the room. However, the hotel refused to use that card because their process requires full approval ten days before the hotel stay. The card used to hold the room was the result of support from a nonprofit trying to support small business growth. Most hotels I’ve stayed in wait until. You check out and ask what card you would like to use. Not so here. I am surprised a company the size and success of Caesar’s (Flamingo Hotel) has less sophisticated business processes and technology than Best Western. Moreover, the manager of the Flamingo Hotel did not take my call and refused to come out and speak to me about the issue. I tried to work with the desk support but had no success. The bottom line is if the hotel’s policy or process has this limitation, they should clearly communicate and make it a check before their deadline. Read less

They charged me $30:00 a night without telling me for adjoining rooms. We were there with some friends at the front desk just said do you have a joining room and they put us in them no one said anything about it costing us $30 a night to have them I would never have paid $30 a night. Just have connecting rooms with a friend that’s silly. I… Read more

Just have connecting rooms with a friend that’s silly. I contacted the resort and spoke to the hotel manager and he said too bad that’s the way they do it, so I’m terribly dissatisfied. Our room was not that neat it had wallpaper that was Coming off the bathroom door, paint was peeling and these were supposedly redecorated 2019 five years ago…… We will not stay there again. OK, time to be honest. The check in experience is a nightmare. KIOS are slow and lord help you if you need to speak to someone you are going to wait quite a while! Our room was not were one of the recently renovated ones and no one in our party of four rooms got a new renovated room. Everyone experience issues with hot water. This made using the bath tub a NO GO! No refrigerator or hot water or microwave in the rooms. The carpets show the decades of Vegas traffic. The Casino is OK nothing special or exciting. The pools, Yike the 21 and older Pool has no chairs unless you pay for one. And the music is loud, if your room faces the pool court you can hear the thumping base non stop till the pool closes. Family pool was fine we did get a few loungers there, but it is a small over crowded area. The staff were all very helpful and the best part of this property a long with the location. We and are friends all agreed we will not be returning to the Flamingo on our next Las Vegas stay. We will try to find something a bit better and a bit more affordable. Read less
