Flamingo

The Strip, Las Vegas

The hotel

This historic hotel was built by Vegas legend, Bugsy Siegel back in 1946 and it's seen countless celebrities walk through its doors in the last 60 years, as well as being the backdrop for the original Ocean's Eleven film and Viva Las Vegas. It has an amazing location right in the middle of The Strip and near the fantastic Caesars Forum Shops, with award-winning Flamingo Go Rooms. The hotel is great for kids with its amazing Beach Club Pool. The GO Pool offers a 21+ lively pool party experience with its amazing 15-acre tropical pool paradise, which has whirlpools and four different swimming pools nestled among the lush, green foliage. Then there's the Wildlife Habitat, where the resort's eponymous flamingos hang out with turtles, swans and ducks. There's a choice of eight restaurants including Jimmy Buffet’s Margaritaville and Margaritaville Casino, featuring the 5 O’Clock Somewhere Bar. Margaritaville is as much a state of mind as it is a place. The multi-level Caribbean-themed entertainment venue offers two outdoor patios overlooking the Las Vegas Strip, a nautical-themed restaurant, five distinctive bars, live entertainment nightly (both indoors and outdoors) and a 3,000-sq ft retail store. You can also eat outside by the pool or even enjoy a spot of gambling in the pool casino located at the GO Pool! At the Margaritaville Casino at the Flamingo, guests feel the energy of the Las Vegas strip while enjoying the laid-back vibe of the islands.

Staff was friendly, lgbtq 🏳️‍🌈 friendly for sure. The hotel was clean 🧼. It was in the center of everything around their and plenty of walking distance to everything and plenty of eating options! The room was clean and the bed was amazingly comfortable!

The water doesn’t get hot. They have hidden fees you are not aware of until you arrive like resort fees, you have to pay for internet after 2 devices are hooked up and it’s slow. Do your research first

Flamingo is a nice hotel. The only down fall was we got a smoking room which had a smelled horrible. It seems they could use some air freshener. The worst part is the hall way had smelled like weed and a cloud of smoke. Don’t get on the smoking floor! I called for towels one night and didn’t get them until I called the next morning. The pool area is extremely racist and in need of new management right away. I sent my two teenage brothers to the pool and they were told their basketball shorts were gang related instead of saying they shorts were against dress code. Hotel supervisor told us this has been going on for years. I spent over $4,000 in rooms this weekend, Very… Read more

I asked if there was anyway we could pay cash, except deposit. They told us to try and use someone elses card. Luckily we were with friends, they had no idea because we arrived the day after. The room was nothing like the pictures. It had not been remodeled and the view was not what we were told it was either. The AC did not work, it was 99 during our stay. Several times we called the front desk with questions, happily waited on hold and was sent to a voicemail. We chose no cleaning services while staying and had four staff unlock our door and continue to walk into our room, while we yelled stop due to being in the middle of changing. I won't stay there again. Read less
