Flamingo

The Strip, Las Vegas

The hotel

This historic hotel was built by Vegas legend, Bugsy Siegel back in 1946 and it's seen countless celebrities walk through its doors in the last 60 years, as well as being the backdrop for the original Ocean's Eleven film and Viva Las Vegas. It has an amazing location right in the middle of The Strip and near the fantastic Caesars Forum Shops, with award-winning Flamingo Go Rooms. The hotel is great for kids with its amazing Beach Club Pool. The GO Pool offers a 21+ lively pool party experience with its amazing 15-acre tropical pool paradise, which has whirlpools and four different swimming pools nestled among the lush, green foliage. Then there's the Wildlife Habitat, where the resort's eponymous flamingos hang out with turtles, swans and ducks. There's a choice of eight restaurants including Jimmy Buffet’s Margaritaville and Margaritaville Casino, featuring the 5 O’Clock Somewhere Bar. Margaritaville is as much a state of mind as it is a place. The multi-level Caribbean-themed entertainment venue offers two outdoor patios overlooking the Las Vegas Strip, a nautical-themed restaurant, five distinctive bars, live entertainment nightly (both indoors and outdoors) and a 3,000-sq ft retail store. You can also eat outside by the pool or even enjoy a spot of gambling in the pool casino located at the GO Pool! At the Margaritaville Casino at the Flamingo, guests feel the energy of the Las Vegas strip while enjoying the laid-back vibe of the islands.

Not worth it when you can pay a little more to stay at one of the other hotels on the strip. I couldn’t sleep for two nights because the sound insulation sucks so the neighbors were really loud. Not worth it when you can pay a little more to stay at one of the other hotels on the strip. I couldn’t sleep for two nights because the sound insulation sucks so the neighbors were really loud. The parking garage is not easy to maneuver in. 2/4 EV chargers were working and taken by non EV vehicles for most of the time. The maintenance is not good. There were elevator panels that were falling apart. For whole the three nights I was there, an elevator displayed an error message. The wall paper in my bathroom was peeling. The water doesn’t get as hot as I would want it to be. There’s no towel rack near the shower. The place just felt old and worn. Checkin and checkout were easy though and location on the strip is nice and central. Read less

What a beautiful hotel. We stayed in the older side and another couple stayed in the new side. Couldn’t tell the difference. Easy check in and out. The casino was great too. Parking is tricky but elevators work great and easy accessible. The flamingo exhibit is cool and easy walking distance to everything!

The room I got was described at check-in by the front desk as "newly renovated". I would be taking this contractor to court if this were my hotel. The room I got was described at check-in by the front desk as "newly renovated". I would be taking this contractor to court if this were my hotel. The shower was missing a substantial amount of grout in a corner where mold will grow if it isn't already, the hot and cold in the shower were backwards from what was marked, the sink fixtures also rotated when you turned on the faucet, so it took a lot of extra strength to force the faucet on and off each time, and every single dispenser in the shower was empty. Also, for all of their cleaning and sanitizing promises, the side of the bed closest to the door has a nightstand with built in outlets. It didn't work, so I checked the plug and there was about a half inch or so of dust bunnies built up on it. Clearly, not a spot that gets cleaned. I was charged $1100 for four nights, all in with tax and resort fees. I won't stay here again, I've been in cleaner Motel 6 properties. Overall, very disappointing. Casino is fine, rooms get neglected I guess as long as there is money flowing on the gaming floor. Read less

I had the worst encounter I’ve ever had with an employee at any of your properties. A friend of mine allowed me to utilize her Diamond Rewards card. I presented the card to valet when I was leaving your property and the agent, Lupe Sanchez stated that I couldn’t use the card because I wasn’t the named card holder. I stated ok, attempted to put the card away and she then became aggressive and combative. She grabbed the card from me, while stating that she couldn’t return it to me. Said I was committing fraud and threatened to call security on me. She then refused to accept payment from me by putting the ceasers sign in front of the window in an attempt to close me off. I understand if a policy was violated, however your employee continued to escalate the situation when I was attempting to resolve it. I didn’t have a problem paying for the service but to be treated like a criminal is completely uncalled for. She was disrespectful, rude and aggressive. She even had the audacity to yell “Walk away” continually at me as I was leaving to get my car. Not once did I raise my voice at her. Not once was I rude to her. She was embarrassing and not true representation of your brand. Read less
