Flamingo

The Strip, Las Vegas

The hotel

This historic hotel was built by Vegas legend, Bugsy Siegel back in 1946 and it's seen countless celebrities walk through its doors in the last 60 years, as well as being the backdrop for the original Ocean's Eleven film and Viva Las Vegas. It has an amazing location right in the middle of The Strip and near the fantastic Caesars Forum Shops, with award-winning Flamingo Go Rooms. The hotel is great for kids with its amazing Beach Club Pool. The GO Pool offers a 21+ lively pool party experience with its amazing 15-acre tropical pool paradise, which has whirlpools and four different swimming pools nestled among the lush, green foliage. Then there's the Wildlife Habitat, where the resort's eponymous flamingos hang out with turtles, swans and ducks. There's a choice of eight restaurants including Jimmy Buffet’s Margaritaville and Margaritaville Casino, featuring the 5 O’Clock Somewhere Bar. Margaritaville is as much a state of mind as it is a place. The multi-level Caribbean-themed entertainment venue offers two outdoor patios overlooking the Las Vegas Strip, a nautical-themed restaurant, five distinctive bars, live entertainment nightly (both indoors and outdoors) and a 3,000-sq ft retail store. You can also eat outside by the pool or even enjoy a spot of gambling in the pool casino located at the GO Pool! At the Margaritaville Casino at the Flamingo, guests feel the energy of the Las Vegas strip while enjoying the laid-back vibe of the islands.

We had voucher for breakfast, just a $9 attached to room number and used the counter/cafe service for tea and sandwich, the sandwiches were superb. Remember to take passport for id when getting them on a morning, very busy and we ate ours outside by firepit. Location was perfect, right in the centre of the strip. Really enjoyed the Linq Promonade, lots to do there and places for beers and food. The pool had just opened and it was busy but we got a sunbed most days, not exactly in a perfect position but hey ho, we got a few hours chilling in the sunshine. Staff at pool very good, lots of security and they did a good job. Would stay here again. Read less

This is the 2nd time I have visited the Flamingo and this time, I understood things a little better. Hotel is located conveniently to get to off of I-15 and after the offramp straight shot into the parking garage. Into the hotel and able to use the self checkin kiosk (after waiting in line) and off to my room. Would recommend that you get one to the rooms that has been remodeled for a little more money. Room was comfortable but didn't really spend that much time in it - didn't go to casino as not a gambler. Just stayed for the one night. Yes I know they have some nice grounds to walk around and plenty of restaurants, but... Showered, went out to dinner and then onto some music. Was great to not drive as everything was close to walk to. Coming back and bed super comfortable. Self checked out and on my way back on the road. Who could ask for more? Prices were reasonable (cheaper than others I looked at) and had a great time. If you are in the area, you should look into this place. Will stay again for sure if in vegas - hmmm... Read less

Parking was easy, we didnt have to walk a mile through confusing parking structures and hotel corridors, it was a quick walk to the front desk from our car. The rooms have been updated and the bed, the bed was the most comfortable bed I've ever slept on! Rooms are decorated nicely. The best part about the flamingo is its location! It is located at a really fun part of the strip, across from ceasers if you want shopping. Margaritaville is connected to the flamingo, inn and out, plenty of bars, gordan Ramsey's fish and chips. They have live music in the alley between the flamingo and the linq, zip lining. Something for everyone. I literally did not have enough time to explore everything the flamingo has to offer in one weekend. The pool area looked amazing, the weather was a bit chilly for us to dip in though. They have actual flamingos, and a nice little park in the center of the casino with beautiful scenery. I have stayed at many casinos on the strip, this my favorite so far. Read less

The staff were great on arrival offering to take our bags immediately. We were then sent to a self-service check-in where we got our key cards for our room. We had a HIGHROLLER ROOM which was nice, we had a view of the roller, the pool and surrounds as well as out into the desert. The room was fairly new, some of the lights weren't working properly and kept flickering in and out. The bathroom had a TV in-built in the mirror, ours was not working, I brought this up to reception multiple times but they never bothered to fix it. The room came with we were told was Breakfast included, what this really meant was $10 toward your breakfast each morning - Watch out for that one! It is cheaper to get breakfast elsewhere on and off of the strip! The location was perfect, right in the center of the strip with easy walking to most casinos and shows. Read less

Ordinary resort with appears to be outdated with little entertainment for guest. When checking out we were charged a resort fee which was never explained to us when checking in. Service was nothing special. Would prefer to pay a little extra and stay at a more luxury hotel.
