Flamingo

The Strip, Las Vegas

The hotel

This historic hotel was built by Vegas legend, Bugsy Siegel back in 1946 and it's seen countless celebrities walk through its doors in the last 60 years, as well as being the backdrop for the original Ocean's Eleven film and Viva Las Vegas. It has an amazing location right in the middle of The Strip and near the fantastic Caesars Forum Shops, with award-winning Flamingo Go Rooms. The hotel is great for kids with its amazing Beach Club Pool. The GO Pool offers a 21+ lively pool party experience with its amazing 15-acre tropical pool paradise, which has whirlpools and four different swimming pools nestled among the lush, green foliage. Then there's the Wildlife Habitat, where the resort's eponymous flamingos hang out with turtles, swans and ducks. There's a choice of eight restaurants including Jimmy Buffet’s Margaritaville and Margaritaville Casino, featuring the 5 O’Clock Somewhere Bar. Margaritaville is as much a state of mind as it is a place. The multi-level Caribbean-themed entertainment venue offers two outdoor patios overlooking the Las Vegas Strip, a nautical-themed restaurant, five distinctive bars, live entertainment nightly (both indoors and outdoors) and a 3,000-sq ft retail store. You can also eat outside by the pool or even enjoy a spot of gambling in the pool casino located at the GO Pool! At the Margaritaville Casino at the Flamingo, guests feel the energy of the Las Vegas strip while enjoying the laid-back vibe of the islands.

This was my first solo trip to Vegas. I wanted a place that was close to things I wanted to do which was ziplining and also going to the Usher concert. The location was great on the strip. The room was amazing and I fell in love with the bathroom. Also the view of the High Roller was awesome. I will definitely come back to stay!!!!

We found socks in the room and hair in the bathroom. The internet was not good even with the wifi. I paid extra to upgrade and the room was not what I expected. I don’t think I’ll stay there again. The parking was always full and our key never worked to leave the parking lot.

I recently stayed at the Flamingo for a buddy's 30th birthday in the "Metropolitan Suite" which was supposed to be some awesome space, however it was anything but that. Upon arrival the lobby smelled of urine and must. We were able to check in early which was nice but of course not without a fee. We were given our room and headed upstairs. Immediately upon opening the door I could see the disappointment in my friends face and was embarrassed that I was fooled by the pictures and words about this room. The room was stuffy and musty when we walked in until maintenance came to fix the AC. The furniture is old and cheap covered in scrapes and scratches. The couch was old and stained, you could literally see a plume of dust when someone sat on it. The bathrooms were covered in mold, some was painted over some was still exposed. Missing light fixtures and lights hanging down from the ceiling. And much much more. As for entertainment you're provided with small outdated tvs in the bedrooms, a CD player with only an aux cord for music (most phones don't even have aux anymore). You're given a mini fridge that hardly fits anything for a "suite" that accommodates 6 people easy. A full bar island, but no glasses or anything to even make a cocktail or drink water in your room. I called the desk and asked for cups and was provided 4 cardboard coffee cups to solve this issue. You're provided a small bathroom size trash can with one bag in it for an entire "suite" that you're responsible for emptying yourself each day. After having the "please service room" sign on the door for 2 days, I called to ask for more towels and was told we were only allowed four towels in the room, before being interogated about how many guests I had. This room was far from a "suite" and I'd never pay to stay here again or any other room at the flamingo. When you pay extra you expect extra in Vegas and this room left plenty to be desired. The staff, rooms, and even casino was less than welcoming and I will gladly be spending my money elsewhere next time I'm in town. Read less

The disappointment began with check-in. We had arranged for early check-in, but when the time came, we were told that there is an extra charge for that. There is no one at check-in. It's all kiosk, so if you have questions, good luck. And no bellman or concierge for assistance with, well, anything. The room was not fully cleaned nor did it… Read more
The disappointment began with check-in. We had arranged for early check-in, but when the time came, we were told that there is an extra charge for that. There is no one at check-in. It's all kiosk, so if you have questions, good luck. And no bellman or concierge for assistance with, well, anything. The room was not fully cleaned nor did it have amenities (soap) or towels. It happened the next day and the day after, at which time we were informed that room servicing (and towels) is by REQUEST ONLY! Service is not a readily available concept as the lobby restrooms were consistently out of something. The only time service was involved was when the hotel was separating me from more money. Getting a cup of coffee before 9:AM is a real trick and it costs dearly. I will not be staying here again, and I advise the same for anyone considering it. Read less
Image of the Tripadvisor rating No housekeeping

Aug 4, 2021 valK370EB Isanti, Minnesota

Was there for 4 days. Never once saw a housekeeper. And was never informed there wouldn’t be one. Didn’t have stock of tp, towels, and there was no hand soap to wash hands. Never any complimentary soaps and lotion. Was also told there was a mini bar in our room. Lol there wasn’t. Just horrible service and poor communication. I’ll never be back.
