Flamingo

Strip, Las Vegas

The hotel

This historic hotel was built by Vegas legend, Bugsy Siegel back in 1946 and it's seen countless celebrities walk through its doors in the last 60 years, as well as being the backdrop for the original Ocean's Eleven film and Viva Las Vegas. It has an amazing location right in the middle of The Strip and near the fantastic Caesars Forum Shops, with award-winning Flamingo Go Rooms. The hotel is great for kids with its amazing Beach Club Pool. The GO Pool offers a 21+ lively pool party experience with its amazing 15-acre tropical pool paradise, which has whirlpools and four different swimming pools nestled among the lush, green foliage. Then there's the Wildlife Habitat, where the resort's eponymous flamingos hang out with turtles, swans and ducks. There's a choice of eight restaurants including Jimmy Buffet’s Margaritaville and Margaritaville Casino, featuring the 5 O’Clock Somewhere Bar. Margaritaville is as much a state of mind as it is a place. The multi-level Caribbean-themed entertainment venue offers two outdoor patios overlooking the Las Vegas Strip, a nautical-themed restaurant, five distinctive bars, live entertainment nightly (both indoors and outdoors) and a 3,000-sq ft retail store. You can also eat outside by the pool or even enjoy a spot of gambling in the pool casino located at the GO Pool! At the Margaritaville Casino at the Flamingo, guests feel the energy of the Las Vegas strip while enjoying the laid-back vibe of the islands.

Had a great experience, from the valet/bell service when we arrived to check-in to check out. Definitely a redo!! Carlos and Charlie’s was a graet change of pace from Margaritaville. The folks at the gambling tables are very friendly and helpful. Looking forward to next year

As a resident of Nevada and someone who enjoys the history of Las Vegas, I was very excited to stay at the Flamingo. Unfortunately, my experience was terrible. I work in aviation and stay in hotels more often than I sleep at home. I am never one to complain about hotels but this was just problem after problem. As soon as I walked into the room I slipped and fell because the floor was SOAKING wet. So i grabbed a towel and cleaned it all up. Once I got settled, I noticed that the room was so stuffy, there is no air flow and it REEKS of cigarettes. I sprayed some air freshener and went out to the strip. I witnessed a Roulette dealer completely rip off a girl at a table so I went and sat down at a machine. My friends and I all sat down at a slot machine and suddenly someone was asking for out ID's. We give her our ID's she pulls out a magnifying glass and accuses us of having fake ID's then can't even tell which ID goes to who. Doesn't offer drinks then walks away. Once the night was over we went back to our room and notice that none of us get any cell phone service. So we go to log into wifi and only 2 devices? What am i paying $40 a night for if the pool is closed and the wifi is limited to part of my party. The next day we wake up and i seriously thought someone was in our bathroom smoking it smelt SO BAD! I called down to the front desk and they offered to spray the room.. Yeah, I already did that. I have asthma and I got a non-smoking room for that specific reason. If you look in the crevices of the bathroom and on the locking mechanism of the door its so dusty and dirty. The toilet stopped working multiple times. Every time we used it, it wouldn't stop running until we adjusted it. To top all of that off. I have FOUR bug bites on my legs from sleeping in the beds. I am extremely disappointed in Caesars and The Flamingo. I usually stay at Planet Hollywood and have never had an issue there. Great team, Great hotel. The Flamingo needs some work. I wrote Caesars as well so we will see if they try to help at all. Read less

I stayed in room 25072 which is on the 25th floor. It is near the elevators. This hotel has 12 elevators going to the floor I was staying on. All were fast after the 6th floor. The room needed maintenance as the main door was sticky (had to push it to open as it was rubbing against the frame) and the place where the handles for the hot and cold water are, were missing so when I showered, water just came out of the holes where the screws would have been holding the handles on. The room does have some nice touches as there are switches to open and close both sets of curtains (one set is opaque and the other set is sheer) There is a button where the closet light and a pink light in the bathroom come on at the same time. The pink light is a very small light. The sink in the bathroom is about 16" in diameter, but facing it about two inches is taken away from the back by the faucet. The faucet is also about 8 inches above the sink so you really can't get low into the sink without hitting the faucet. There is also a TV in the mirror in the bathroom. The towels in the bathroom seemed alright as they were long (about 60" long) but not real fluffy (standard hotel towels). The room also had a small refrigerator and a coffee maker. The remote for the main room TV seemed to need new batteries as it responded very slowly to the push buttons on the remote control. Read less

3 nights at the hotel were great. Good value for the money. Location is center of the strip beside the new Linq promenade. Rooms were very clean and beds were super comfy.
