Excalibur

The Strip, Las Vegas

Virgin rating

The hotel

This good value on-strip casino hotel boasts an enormous pool area and is home to the must-see Tournament of Kings dinner show, complete with knights on horseback, jousting, pyrotechnics and Merlin himself. Las Vegas’s take on old England, the Excalibur would surprise the Knights of the Round Table. But that’s where it leaves England behind and takes on the world. There’s the all-American casino (with 100,000 sq ft of gaming), games arcade, and branch of Johnny Rockets’ famous hamburger chain. There’s Italy, Mexico and Asia (and a bit more America) in its casual restaurants and food court. And there’s Australia in its ‘Thunder from Down Under’ adult show and Australian Bee Gees tribute concert.

The tournament of Kings is a must see with family and friends. The arcade is fun for the kids. We would go again.

Was there from 6/17-6/19. I booked here because from the reviews I read it’s kid friendly. It is. They have a pretty big arcade, but be warned it gets expensive, QUICK! The pools aren’t heated it seems like since the water was very cold. Overall my son enjoyed it, and again it was kid friendly. They do have an adults only pool as well. One was… Read more
Was there from 6/17-6/19. One was under maintenance so only 2 of the 3 kid friendly pools were open. My biggest reason for my rating was the condition of our room. I understand it’s an old resort, but it’s time for an update I feel. The vibe feels very old and I was never really comfortable sleeping or simply hanging out in the room. The AC didn’t feel very cold and the room felt stuffy the whole time. The tv is old so if you’re expecting apps or something you can stream on forget it. All you have access to is local channels and it’s not an HD tv so it reminded me of the old school tv sets. Our iron didn’t work I called to get a new one and nobody every showed up so I had to wear my clothes wrinkled lol It needs a major update for sure. If you’re looking for something affordable this is it, but you get what you pay for. Read less

Many things went bad including the room, pool and service while gambling The main pool was closed the entire trip, while you were gambling there were no waitress staff around. You had to go find one just to get a beer. The room had things on the ceiling

There was an ice machine and drinks on the floor. We didn’t spend much time in the room or indeed the hotel but my experience of it was positive and would have no problem staying here again. It’s a great hotel to stay in to have easy walking excess to other hotels and the mono rail is literally across the rd. We did enjoy the tournament show and ate in a few of the eateries. Got to say was not prepared mentally for Dicks 🤣🤣. The pool area was so lovely and plenty of beds. As with all hotels you can get approached quite a lot about tickets/shows etc but that is to be expected everywhere in vegas. Ubers were easy to get and the hop on hop off bus stop was at the hotel so that was a nice bonus. Family feel to the hotel which meant it was quieter compared to others. Read less
