Excalibur

The Strip, Las Vegas

Virgin rating

The hotel

This good value on-strip casino hotel boasts an enormous pool area and is home to the must-see Tournament of Kings dinner show, complete with knights on horseback, jousting, pyrotechnics and Merlin himself. Las Vegas’s take on old England, the Excalibur would surprise the Knights of the Round Table. But that’s where it leaves England behind and takes on the world. There’s the all-American casino (with 100,000 sq ft of gaming), games arcade, and branch of Johnny Rockets’ famous hamburger chain. There’s Italy, Mexico and Asia (and a bit more America) in its casual restaurants and food court. And there’s Australia in its ‘Thunder from Down Under’ adult show and Australian Bee Gees tribute concert.

The security is hotheaded and ready to fight not protect people on property. You will not feel safe here at all. They also let any chick they want past but block everyone else and make check keys. Real secure feeling.

First time in Excalibur (normally stay in Park MGM) but since I got some comp nights to use, I chose this hotel. Great stay! Love the whole MGM Gold perks, from room upgrades ( we had the Stay Well Resort Tower Two Queen Beds) to waived Resort Fees and Parking… etc. very comfortable room and great costumer service! May 22, 2022 arose279 Spokane, Washington

We're headed back to our room in St George. 🎉 We definitely won't be staying at the Excalibur again. The room was dirty on arrival (dirty underwear and blood on the floor in the bathroom), and a wet dirty towel in the window sill. Also, the bathtub had issues holding water and the steam shower didn't work.

The check-in process was pretty smooth except I was told to pay $158 resort fee and $200 deposit. They should just use my CC as security deposit. Parking was free for us during 4 days stay which is very nice.

Have been to Vegas many times, this was by far the worst hotel experience we’ve ever had there. Shortage of staff created long lines and waits at every turn. Machines on casino floor kept breaking down, taking my money, would take at least 20 minutes for staff to arrive and each time staff was EXTREMELY rude when they got there. No refrigerator in the room, an empty space where the fridge used to be. Even the 2.0 star roadside motels have refrigerators! Bottom of the barrel in Vegas by far. Read less
