Excalibur

The Strip, Las Vegas

The hotel

This good value on-strip casino hotel boasts an enormous pool area and is home to the must-see Tournament of Kings dinner show, complete with knights on horseback, jousting, pyrotechnics and Merlin himself. Las Vegas’s take on old England, the Excalibur would surprise the Knights of the Round Table. But that’s where it leaves England behind and takes on the world. There’s the all-American casino (with 100,000 sq ft of gaming), games arcade, and branch of Johnny Rockets’ famous hamburger chain. There’s Italy, Mexico and Asia (and a bit more America) in its casual restaurants and food court. And there’s Australia in its ‘Thunder from Down Under’ adult show and Australian Bee Gees tribute concert.

The hotel staff was unfriendly and impolite during check-in. The room was relatively clean and parking was close to the casino. Read less

The Excalibur is a great value and quite comfortable. I don’t really feel like I have anything negative to say the room was quite comfortable and clean. Casino floor was lonely but that’s no surprise all things considered atm. Only criticism is the casino floor was overly fragrant.

Hotel was not a place I would ever stay again it’s was worse than Circus circus and that one is pretty old. Rooms were terrible not enough pillows or towels for two people. No hot water in the shower.
Image of the Tripadvisor rating The staff could have been a lot better but the hotel itself is nice.

I made a reservation online a week prior to my trip. I called the hotel days before I got there to tell them I would have a late check in because I had a late flight. When I checked in, the staff told me that my reserved room was given to other guests because it is first come first serve although I had a reservation made through their website. They offered a lower grade room with the option of checking out and checking back in early the following day to get the room I originally reserved. The next day, I did as they said right when I could checkout and they told me they would not have my reserved room available at all. They said there was nothing that could be done and I had to pay for the King Suite I reserved but receive a lower grade room. Other than the staff and reservation experience, the place is nice. Has a lot there and is close enough to the Strip to do stuff but not get stuck in the middle of everything. Read less
