The hotel

After 30 years of welcoming guests under the name of Bally's, the hotel has been renovated and we're ready to introduce you to Horseshoe Las Vegas! With all the famous amenities, but spruced up to give that extra bit of glamour, you're sure to find everything you need here - from shops to restaurants, and plenty of bars and shows. There’s the casino too of course, with its traditional reels, video poker, slots machines and roulette tables but, if Lady Luck and you have been flirting too much, head on over to the oversized poolside — it’s rocking. And yes, we do mean literally, with DJ music, private cabanas and plenty of shaded areas thanks to the palm trees! Being in the centre of the strip is great for enjoying all that Vegas has to offer, and it's also great when it comes to hotel room views too - choose between High Roller views, looking out on the South of the Strip, or our personal favourite, the fountain view. Whichever room you pick here, you're sure to have a blast.

So I was hotel hopping in Las Vegas last week and this was one that I stayed in over the weekend. It was the least expensive Caesars property available so I thought I’d try it out. It was fine, but not fabulous. It’s a little bit older and it shows on some of the furnishings. I did experience some housekeeping issues. I had requested that my room be cleaned and it wasn’t. I told both a housekeeper as well as the virtual app, Ivy, twice. I was extremely disappointed that after requesting this several times one day that it wasn’t cleaned. There are definitely some communication issues with Guest Services and housekeeping. The towels are also just average here but the bed was comfortable. The valet was also great! It was quick, easy and efficient to receive my car! Despite this big issue, I will, however extend my compliments to the front desk manager Martin. He was extremely receptive and listened to everything I had to say and took care of me. Further, as a Diamond member I was able to take care of most of my needs in the Diamond office off to the left of the front desk. There, I would like to extend my compliments to Michael S. I had several issues that I discussed with him and he too was patient, receptive and helpful. The best thing about this hotel is the location! It was awesome and right in the center of a lot of things. It was easy to walk to CVS, Giordano’s pizza, and many other hotels. It was also very close to the Belaggio light show, so with the great there were many people! So, my final thought about this property is that would probably stay here again, but it wouldn’t be my first choice. I also stayed in this building in the Versailles tower, which was part of the Paris hotel and I will review it separately. Read less

These were different types of hairs and there were quite a few long hairs on the bathroom floor. 2. Reception was like a budget airline. Self check in at machines that don’t open until 3pm (long queue), long waits to talk to unfriendly and poorly informed staff (tried to charge me for something that was included in my room rate) and an overall strong smell of overwhelming air freshener that they were trying to use to cover the cigarette smell. Not a nice place to have those long waits. Read less

I have stayed at many hotels on the Las Vegas strip including this one when it was formerly known as Bally's...the elevators were filthy as were the walls and floor of the bathroom in my room...the mattress also needs to be replaced...the service when needed was friendly...

The modern 3-star Bally's Las Vegas hotel occupies a prime location, right in the heart of the bustling Las Vegas, Nevada and just minutes from an international airport. Overall it was a really good stay. Good value for the money.Rooms clean ,service good ,but nothing special.

This was my 2nd stay since September on 2023 when I met up with Friends in Vegas. This time was with my family. I chose to stay there with my wife and child because of 1) the affordable price, 2) the central-strip location, 3) the family friendly activities at the hotel, 4) food options at and directly outside of the hotel. B/c I just visited last Fall, my expectations were completely set for the hotel: Convenient location, spacious rooms, comfortable bed, average condition hotel, smokey casino, budget price, family friendly. It was just as I expected. My wife naturally had concerns, mostly because of the mostly negative reviews that people tend to write when they have bad experiences. She brought her sanitizing kit lol, and by the end of the trip, she was satisfied with her stay. This time around b/c I was with family, I got to experience the pool, arcade, monorail putt putt and just an experience overall with a kid. Pool was basic...if you just want a refreshing swim, then it's perfectly fine...not very entertaining. The arcade is awesome. We went twice...it has great and new games...many better than what you will find at other arcade entertainment venues. Even if not staying there, I would recommend a visit to the arcade. Putt putt was basic, but the family had fun. Monorail was somewhat convenient. We slept well...the beds are great...neighbor was loud a couple of mornings, but that has nothing to do with the hotel. The one thing I don't like about Horseshoe is the amount of cigarette smoke walking through the lobby. Messed with our allergies a bit. Yes, the elevators and rooms have scuffs and blemishes on it, but that wasn't a bother because, 1) I already had our expectations set for it, and 2) it didn't affect anything functionally for us whatsoever. Everything worked...including the safe (I see a lot of complaints about that). We arrived early in the morning and paid for early-check in, and it was VERY smooth for us. There were only like 3 people trying to check in when we got there at about 9am, so I understand our situation was a little different. But the desk lady was friendly, and was able to honor our early check-in request and got us in a ready room. If I go to Vegas again, I will probably stay somewhere else (likely off the strip) or try another hotel just so the family can experience others. If I go solo or just take my wife, I will stay somewhere nicer, BUT if the situation calls, I'd have no problem staying back at the Horseshoe. As long as you have proper expectations for the hotel, it IS a good budget-concious hotel to stay at. Read less
