The hotel

What a unique place! The lifts ascend diagonally up the pyramid wall and the beam of light that shines from the top can be seen from 10 miles up in space. Vegas gets hotter than Egypt in the summer, so you’ll appreciate the 5-acre pool area with 4 pools, as well as a new adult VIP pool* section. Check out the hotel's dining options too — there's Diablos Cantina, Tender Steakhouse, Backstage Deli, Pyramid Café, Public House, and The Buffet at Luxor. In the sumptuous Nurture Spa, you can enjoy treatments like botanical body buffs, Swedish massages and refresher facials. Blue Man Group is comedy, theatre, rock concert and dance party all rolled into one. You'll be closer to the action than ever before at the specially designed Blue Man Theatre at Luxor Hotel and Casino. It's an outrageous multi-sensory experience you'll never forget.

I recently stayed at LUXOR and was disappointed by the service I received at check-in. When I arrived on 06/15/24 , the associate at the front desk persistently tried to get me to upgrade my room, despite my clear preference to stick with my original reservation. When I declined the upgrade, the associate appeared to take vengeance by attempting to separate my rooms to farther locations within the hotel, seemingly to coerce me into upgrading. To my dismay, I also noticed an increase in the pricing, which felt like an unfair penalty for refusing the upgrade. Ultimately, I had to upgrade to keep our rooms together as I was traveling with minors. This made the check-in process unnecessarily long and uncomfortable, leaving me feeling pressured and disrespected in front of my family. What should have been a pleasant start to our trip turned into a frustrating and disappointing experience, significantly impacting our stay. To add insult to injury, the associate later accused me of lying about these interactions, which was deeply distressing. Given everything we went through, I believe management should have waived the upgrade fee as a gesture of goodwill. I chose this hotel for its reputation for excellent service, but this experience did not meet my expectations. I hope the management addresses this issue to improve the experience for future guests. Until then, I would recommend potential visitors be cautious and firm about their preferences at check-in. Read less
