MGM Grand Hotel & Casino

The Strip, Las Vegas

The hotel

In a city of fabulous excess where big is always beautiful, the 5,000-room MGM Grand takes the XXL biscuit. The world’s second largest hotel features a 6.5-acre Grand Pool Complex containing four swimming pools, three whirlpools, Vegas’ longest lazy river, and waterfalls. The Wet Republic Ultra Pool holds seasonal pool parties too. And that’s just for starters, as the MGM Grand hosts huge sporting events, top shows such as Ka by Cirque du Soleil, Virtual Reality and famous performers such as David Copperfield. On top of that, Hakkasan regularly hosts DJs Calvin Harris and Tiesto. Peckish after all that? Then take your pick from a mouth-watering range of restaurants that satisfy pretty much any mood and taste you can imagine.

The staff was great. The room is large but the technology is dated and broken. We enjoyed taking advantage of the amenities in the hotel as well as its proximity to many of the other attractions in the Las Vegas

The service was below average, the food was below average, the room was below average, overall I would not return nor recommend. An improvement would be personal treatment of your guests. I also only booked MGM because I booked the Shin Lim show and they booked me accidentally at the Grand instead of the mirage. I would have and should have booked the Hilton, Marriott or Intercontinental, all which has always provided that special service. Read less

There was so many issues my family and I encountered that I don't know where to begin. I did address the major issue while there but left with an unresolved issue. However, my family and I did make the best of the trip and not everyone or everything was bad at the hotel.
