Rio Las Vegas

The Strip, Las Vegas

The hotel

Not all Las Vegas showstoppers are on the Strip – just look at Rio All-Suite Las Vegas Hotel & Casino, where your super-sized suite features floor-to-ceiling windows and jaw-dropping views of Las Vegas Valley. Seemingly inspired by the Strip’s global ‘landmarks’, the Rio’s 12 restaurants take you on a worldwide tour, from the Asian flavours of its dim sum, Vietnamese, and Indian eateries to the hearty American favourites of VooDoo Steakhouse, which takes in the glitz of Vegas from its 50th floor vantage point. The VooDoo theme continues with the Rio’s VooDoo Rooftop Nightclub; VooDoo Zipline, which gives you 360 degree views of the Strip (if you can open your eyes as you hurtle at 33 miles an hour); and VooDoo Beach, featuring four tropical pool zones, three whirlpools, poolside spa treatments, cocktail bars, and a carnival spirit.

The only reason we chose this dump is because it says family friendly- no smoking and cribs available. We arrived and both of those things are false. The only reason we chose this dump is because it says family friendly- no smoking and cribs available. We arrived and both of those things are false. The useless manager Vince looked at us like we had 17 heads when asking for the crib that I had confirmed would be available with the manager of housekeeping days before our arrival. “Due to covid no cribs are available”. So covid spreads on cribs, which can be wiped down, but not a king bed which can’t? Very confused. It was clear that the Rio did not just burn all of the cribs due to covid- they are certainly still there, we just could not use one. Not one time did the manager apologize for the false advertisement or offer any assistance. Vince is useless and the Rio is a serious dump. After going to our room that we paid 35 for early checkin to get into we were greeted by a nice thick layer of dust covering everything. Only stay here if you want a nice view of the homeless tent shelters outside of your window! Read less

Close by is a bridge with homeless and to get to the strip they say it’s and easy walk, yet you have to cross a busy street of I- 10 a cross over 2 bridges also. My wife can’t do that walk, even though I went for a run and did it every day. First day when we called for more towels and pillows, and a blanket. The guy arrived with one small towel, he said that was all that was on his order. Also, you could never get through to the Personal Assistant they assign. I had to call the front desk every time. Stay on the Strip if you go to Vegas, didn’t even try to stay at a place off the strip, it’s cheaper for a Reason! Rooms were spartan. They said this was a Refurbished room, but sure didn’t look like it with Paint chipping. Read less

No sleep. The room smell was bad I had to buy plug-ins. I came for business and couldn’t sleep. I stayed there about 10 or so years ago it was nice, not anymore. Don’t stay here!!! Read less

1st off and i have a copy of the reservation..W hen i checked in I had to pay extra to check in..IHAVE NEVER IN ALL THE HOTELS I'VE STAY, EVER HAD TO PAY EXTRA TO CHECK IN 1 HOUR EARLY. now i know i am a silver member with hotels.com..and feel that no matter how the room was booked that i usually get some kind of percentage off on meals or gift shop or something. But since i wasnt traveling alone and just paid the extra so as not to delay our plans. i paid the extra fees, i paid to be in the mascarade tower with strip view not Ipanema tower..but like i said i didn't want to cause a scene with having a guest with me. so if you would like to contact me for some kind of reimbursement would be greatly appreciated..We have stayed b4 with no problems and i did go down to the front desk and just seemed like noone gives 2 sh.....just wasn't a great experience..Because we come to LV frequently friends, eventsb and when we fly we fly from there..usually stay either the night before or when we get back from a trip..or both...i prefer to stay in hotels with suites and have stayed in a bunch..as of now..i am disappointed in the experience there.the onlyreason i haven't sent you this before now is that i have been ill and just now about to be released from the hospital going through emails. feel free to call 605 595 4417..if i don't hear from you... i will never stay again. What i am most mad about is being put in the wrong tower and paying extra to check in..the room was adequate nothing special which is why i thought i paid extra. Read less

We stayed at the Rio this past January and I would have to rate the whole experience a three out of five. The positives were, the location was about a $10 cab ride to the strip, the value for the room was good, the room was big and the vanity and the bathroom area was nice and large so that was nice. The cons were, the room was really outdated, the carpet under the bed was very dusty, all the furniture was peeling at the top, it didn’t feel entirely clean. The bed was lumpy, the pillows were hard and even though we had an average sleep I thought that it could’ve been more comfortable. They only cleaned our room one time we were there and had requested daily service. We would not stay at the Rio again. We had friends staying at Gold Coast and we spent the majority of our time there where the casino was nice and bright, the service was excellent and the drinks were cheap. Read less
