Rio Las Vegas

The Strip, Las Vegas

The hotel

Not all Las Vegas showstoppers are on the Strip – just look at Rio All-Suite Las Vegas Hotel & Casino, where your super-sized suite features floor-to-ceiling windows and jaw-dropping views of Las Vegas Valley. Seemingly inspired by the Strip’s global ‘landmarks’, the Rio’s 12 restaurants take you on a worldwide tour, from the Asian flavours of its dim sum, Vietnamese, and Indian eateries to the hearty American favourites of VooDoo Steakhouse, which takes in the glitz of Vegas from its 50th floor vantage point. The VooDoo theme continues with the Rio’s VooDoo Rooftop Nightclub; VooDoo Zipline, which gives you 360 degree views of the Strip (if you can open your eyes as you hurtle at 33 miles an hour); and VooDoo Beach, featuring four tropical pool zones, three whirlpools, poolside spa treatments, cocktail bars, and a carnival spirit.

Hotel is outdated. Curtains in room were hanging off the hooks. Floor we were on constantly smelled like weed. No places to eat, all closed. Wish we were informed of that beforehand. Won’t stay again.

Well it lets you book what you want, but when you get there that’s a different story. The reviews are right so don’t be fooled. We called 2-3 times to double check, and then when we got there we got downgraded(:

Did you know that the Rio has a special response team with a guard dog? I met them over the weekend at 5am. Metro was there. I paid a bit extra for a nicer room, got an older run down room that had tons of deferred maintenance. I was told that they would swap rooms after the first night, never happened. Check in was a nightmare with only two staffers and a supervisor that appeared asleep at the wheel. Read less

We had reserved a mascarade suite with a strip view, but upon arrival they decided to close the mascarde tower with out any prior notice and switched our room to a smaller suite with no compensation, closed most of the restaurants also with no warning, no room service on first night. no coffee makers. New room review, out dated furniture, lumpy bed, and not the view we reserved. Understandably with the Covid paranoia and restriction staff is reduced but some notice and accommodations for the changes would have been more appropriate. All the staff we delt with was friendly. One particular security guard walking around in the evening was very friendly and helpful, I wish I would have got his name to give him a individual thank you, reception at the American bar and grill was also very good but pricy. Jan 17, 2021 Kay92242 Earp, California

The price was reasonable until we went and actually checked into the hotel and it went from being a 60 something dollar room to an 80 something dollar room when I booked through Priceline I nobody had an answer to why there was a different charge
