The hotel

The Rio Las Vegas has been reborn, and it's still just as iconic, with generously-sized rooms featuring floor-to-ceiling windows and jaw-dropping views of Las Vegas Valley. Seemingly inspired by the Strip’s global ‘landmarks’, the Rio’s array of restaurants take you on a worldwide tour, from the Asian flavours of its dim sum, all-you-can-eat Indian buffets, and the hearty American favourites of VooDoo Steakhouse, which takes in the glitz of Vegas from its 50th floor vantage point. And if that's not enough, you've got the newly opened Canteen Food Hall too! With a fully revamped pool area featuring 4 different pools, the recent upgrades to this hotel make it a real game changer when it comes to great value Vegas hotels. Rediscover the enchantment that defines the essence of Rio, amongst the rhythm of Vegas.

Our room was never cleaned during our 5 night stay. House keeping said I needed to request room cleaning at front desk. I requested cleaning twice, never happened. I guess eating at the property every day did not count much.

My expectations were definitely exceeded. Gone is the day of that dark dank sad casino. I hope they bring the sky parade back!

The Rio suite I stayed in had been newly remodeled and it was very nice. They have a good selection of restaurants. The Spa had not been reopened. They seem to still be in the process of remodeling in the casino. It was very nice but the play was tight.

What I did want and kind of expected was hot water in my room, but unfortunately, I did not get it. Every morning, I reported it to the manager in reception, and every night, when I got back from work, nothing had been done. One morning, I was so annoyed that I asked for a senior manager and told her that it had been three days of cold showers. She asked me for my room number and said she would get someone on it straight away - she didn't write anything down, so before I left, I asked what my room number was, that I had given her 5 minutes earlier and she couldn't remember! They don't care about their guests and make that very obvious. Read less
