The LINQ Hotel + Experience

The Strip, Las Vegas

Virgin rating

The hotel

Well-connected, the name lets slip the hotel’s ‘link’ to extra food, fun and frivolity. The guestrooms are hip and high-tech, but you won’t be there much with the LINQ’s endless diversions. The centrepiece is the High Roller – the world’s tallest observation wheel, at 550-ft high it takes 30 minutes to do the full loop. You’re also ‘linked’ to an exclusive shopping, entertainment and dining promenade. And, of course, the all-essential Vegas casino. Over 21s can enjoy the pool, with nightly swims twice a week, Champagne Sundays and pool deck misting. Then there are the other decadences: the Brooklyn Bowl, a massive bowling and live music venue, and endless dining and drinking establishments, including 24-hour Hash House A Go Go, whose colossal portions featured on ‘Man v Food’.

Tried several times to eat at the Mexican restaurant, each time we requested a table inside. Staff said sure and proceeded to take us to the outdoor dining area. I told the staff that we did not want to smell marijuana as we ate. They said sorry, the 30-50 tables inside had no staff. Went to the pool and settled in. Weather was beautiful and the staff were attentive. We had to leave after 30 minutes because of the smell of pot. We stayed on the 12 floor, the room was nice, if dusty, but the hallways all smelled of pot. We enjoyed the table games, Let it Ride, ( one table that didn’t open until 1200). After 20 minutes of play we got up and left, you guessed it, the smell of pot! I understand that this is legal in Vegas, but not in public areas. As such we will never visit the Linq again. Unless you “partake” stay away!! Read less

No toiletries, no coffee maker or coffee, no bath robe or slippers, no shower cap, comforter the thickness of a sheet, no blanket, the safe did not work, the water didn’t get hot, and the refrigerator didn’t work. The sheets had stains. There wasn’t even a pen and piece of paper in the room to write a review. There posted a sign saying they… Read more

The sheets had stains. There wasn’t even a pen and piece of paper in the room to write a review. There posted a sign saying they wanted us to reuse our towels and sheets, but there is no discount for doing it. In short, this place is a total rip off. Read less

The drinks are outrageous cost. Pool side slushy $37. Aquafina water 6.99 a bottle. Fuji water 19.99. I was so shocked, had no idea I should ask cost before purchasing. Assumed the water would be probably $ 3.00 a bottle but never considered a 16oz bottle would be $6.99. Nice location for convention at Venetian, walking through Harrahs &… Read more

The best thing about this hotel is its location. It’s right in the centre of the Las Vegas strip with many of the main attractions within easy walking distance. We had room (10048) overlooking the pool on the 10th floor and it was a decent size, but could have done with a little more TLC as its decor is a little jaded, but apart from the house phone everything worked fine. Be aware there is no tea/coffee making facilities and you’ll get charged for hot water for your room, but it’s what you’d expect from the rip off capitol of America. The room was cleaned well each day but don’t expect much by way of customer service as this hotel was seriously lacking in that respect. Read less

The staff was very good and friendly. Room was small and not a perfect hotel but casino floor is nice and room was comfortable. Getting around hotel is easy and central location to all of the strip and located near bus line for easy travel downtown
