It was really a nice place to stay while in Vegas especially if you like nice clean rooms and less noise since there's not a casino inside. While in town for a half-marathon, I was excited to return to the Signature and looked forward to the quieter, more sedate nature of these Strip-adjacent towers. Unfortunately, it seems like the experience at this property has worsened significantly since I was last here a few years ago, and I don’t think another stay is in the cards. We arrived early, and I was understandably told that rooms were not yet available and that we would need to wait for the advertised check-in time. Just a few minutes later, I received a notification that our room was ready, which was a pleasant surprise, but upon going to the front desk to get physical keys, the staff believed this to be a mistake and began revoking my check-in; only after showing them my digital key did they confirm this was an error, but allow me to go up to the room early “as an exception.” Odd, but no complaints here. We submitted for and received an eStandby upgrade to a one-bedroom suite. This suite was very spacious and generously-sized - two full bathrooms with excellent showers and an enormous primary one were a highlight - but big rooms are not hard to come by in this town. Despite smelling and looking clean, the room (and the entire property, frankly) felt worn and dated in spots, as though it hadn’t seen any real care since the place first opened. Nearly every piece of furniture had significant chips and scratches, moulding was damaged with pieces missing in every room, and one of the bathroom walls above the jacuzzi tub had faint remnants of what looked like a cryptic series of numbers. My guess? Either a math problem someone couldn’t solve, or the beginning of what I hope was a fun treasure hunt for whoever was involved Despite the allure of a full kitchen, appliances were less than cooperative - the fridge and freezer doors would frequently stick, and the microwave made very loud clanging noises whenever it was used. $9 in-room water bottles (what should be a complimentary amenity in a suite with a $42/night resort fee) was the thick icing on the room cake. With all that said, the biggest issue by far was parking. Having rented a car for this trip, I was excited to take advantage of the “complimentary” valet parking that the properly advertises so heavily. What’s not advertised, however, is the fact that valet tends to fill up quickly, and once it does, parking is shut down for the night, even if cars later leave and free up space, so guests will be redirected at the property entrance to MGM Grand’s self-parking garage, which is, to be very diplomatic, not close by. This is apparently a regular occurrence at the property, but at no point were we informed that this situation might occur; the only mention I could find of it was buried deep in the property’s FAQ page on its website, and from repeated complaints on this very site. Protip: if you arrive back to the property any time after 6 or 7PM, budget in an additional 25-35 minutes to accommodate getting turned away at the gate, self-parking at the distant garage, and walking through the entirety of MGM Grand to get back to the Signature - this part alone can take 15-20 minutes! I believe there’s much more this property can do to proactively inform guests of valet shutdown - for example, text messages to guests with a car registered to their reservation; as it stands, the current system makes parking more of a headache and inconvenience than any other resort I’ve ever stayed at - both in and out of Vegas. Without exaggeration, I spent nearly two hours in total during this stay walking back-and-forth to the parking garage to retrieve my car. After believing the advertising that I’d be doing the exact opposite, these valet issues were enough to turn me off to the property entirely. They need to do better here. All things considered, the Signature generally costs less than other comparable mid-tier properties in the immediate area, and you kind of get what you pay for in that sense. Staff are friendly and access to all of MGM Grand’s amenities is quite fun, but the aforementioned issues really put a damper on what I looked forward to being a great return trip. As with any hotel stay, your mileage may vary, but if you choose to stay here, I’d leave your car at home or bring a comfortable pair of sneakers - you’re going to be doing a lot of walking. We stayed at the Signature 7 years ago the last time we went to Vegas. At that time, the hotel was excellent, which is why we booked it again. Things have changed. They charge a hefty resort fee (which I know is the norm these days), but you would think that the fee would cover some simple amenities. They didn't. There were 2 bottles of water in our room. Every other hotel I have ever stayed at gives these bottles as complimentary. It wasn't until I had opened one that I discovered that the hotel charges $10.00 for the bottle if its opened. The same bottle of water costs about $5.00 at the nearby Walgreens. The pool area is supposed to have food and beverage service for hotel users. There was nothing. The Starbucks in the hotel was having trouble with their oven (which can't be helped), but was yet another inconvenience. The room we booked was a deluxe suite with full kitchenette. However when we got there, there were no kitchen supplies. Not a single glass, cup, plate or set of cutlery. We had to ask for every specific item that we wanted. We also had to specifically request refills for coffee and condiments. The jets for the jet bathtub also didn't work. On the plus side, the bed was very comfy and the room was still nice. We just feel that for the amount that the hotel charged, we did not get our money's worth. Read less

The sheets had stains and there were bitten finger nails in the bathroom. Being in the room made my skin itch even before I sat on anything. I searched the mattress to see if there were bugs and I couldn’t find any but I was so itchy I had to keep taking benedryl and was paranoid I was getting bit by something I couldn’t see
