Vdara Hotel & Spa at ARIA Las Vegas

The Strip, Las Vegas

Virgin rating

The hotel

Designed for those who want to tap into the energy and excitement of Las Vegas but would prefer to enjoy it from an exclusive, non-gaming and smoke-free resort, Vdara is one of few hotels in Vegas not to house a casino. What you get instead is a cosmopolitan, all-suite hotel that feels blissfully private despite being in the heart of the action. The cutting-edge pool is surrounded by private retreats, semi-private plunge pools and cabanas; there’s a world-class spa, and you are a few short minutes away from a dizzying range of dining, shopping and entertainment options, so you’ll never be short of things to do. The Vdara really is an oasis in the desert.

The view in the panoramic room was amazing. The housekeepers were all amazing and nice to talk to. I loved having the tunnel connected to the cosmo and Bellagio. We also did a couple messages and they were amazing. The hot tub in the spa was so relaxing.

Wonderful low key resort! I’ll say up front that my husband and I are NOT gamblers but was visiting for a few days. We loved the ambiance and proximity of this resort. Wonderful low key resort! I’ll say up front that my husband and I are NOT gamblers but was visiting for a few days. We loved the ambiance and proximity of this resort. The fact that this is a non-gaming and non-smoking resort was a definite plus. Very small lobby compared to the other giant resorts. And very easy to check in and hop straight to the elevators. No trudging through huge casinos to get from check in to elevators here. In the lobby there are 3 establishments. Starbucks, a Vdara marketplace that has everything from mac and cheese bowls, bottles of tequila to pastries and made to order coffee and a small bar/ lounge. The hotel is easily connected indoor to Bellagio and Cosmo and a short outside walk to Aria. I had booked the standard king room. But at checkin, asked the employee if there were any upgrades available. He was able to get us a Fountain View studio suite for a fraction of the price! The rooms are very nice, modern and in good condition overall. This suite had a small kitchen including a 2 burner stove and small dorm size fridge. Like the Aria, Vdara also has the iPad where you can control the automatic window shades, TV, book spa appointments, turn on/off lights, etc. However ours never worked and I called the front desk twice to ask them to fix it. And they never showed up to fix it. This was my only complaint. It’s minor but annoying that the service in this space was lacking. Overall, we were very happy and would definitely return next time we go back to Vegas. Read less

Usually we like Vdara but unfortunately had bad experience with check in this time. Our room was comped but their system did not show that so I tried to show her proof by email both from my Host and info@MGM , she refused to even look at it insisting I go away and check with my host . Our room was comped but their system did not show that so I tried to show her proof by email both from my Host and info@MGM , she refused to even look at it insisting I go away and check with my host . We finally resolved that with my Host intervening. I asked to check in to my room 14.45 and was told 15.00 was the check in time . I couldn’t accept they had no rooms available in this massive Hotel and so persisted and was given a room on the 5th floor facing a tram line. I guess it was her way getting back at us. We moved to Wynn following day and happy to have done so. What’s happening at Vdara , they have to understand one battle Apple ruins all the hard work of others that actually care and try to resolve small issues like this. An issue of their own making.
