Vdara Hotel & Spa at ARIA Las Vegas

The Strip, Las Vegas

The hotel

Designed for those who want to tap into the energy and excitement of Las Vegas but would prefer to enjoy it from an exclusive, non-gaming and smoke-free resort, Vdara is one of few hotels in Vegas not to house a casino. What you get instead is a cosmopolitan, all-suite hotel that feels blissfully private despite being in the heart of the action. The cutting-edge pool is surrounded by private retreats, semi-private plunge pools and cabanas; there’s a world-class spa, and you are a few short minutes away from a dizzying range of dining, shopping and entertainment options, so you’ll never be short of things to do. The Vdara really is an oasis in the desert.

Image of the Tripadvisor rating Obvious wear and tear, but really great property

Stayed in a city view suite, unfortunately there weren’t any rooms available overlooking the strip. Great views none the less! Everything is modern and well cleaned, but you can see obvious scratches and wear and tears on items. Overall, good value for price.

We stayed at Vdara for the first time this trip and we will be back! Room was great but the hospitality from Amber at the front desk took it from great to exceptional. One of the most friendly and efficient front desk agents I have ever encountered. Stayed in both the Vdara suite and the fountain view studio. The vdara suite was a little worn down, furniture needs some touch ups but the bed, full sized fridge and bath tub were top notch. Studio suite was a perfect size for a short stay and had an unbeatable view. Thanks Vdara and Amber we will be back. Read less

We typically stay at Aria, but with Vdara being just steps away we decided to give it a try. We were NOT disappointed. Granted our stay was pre-COVID (actually the weekend before Vegas shut down) and everything was open. From your room you can be in the heart of the Aria casino floor in 5 minutes. Same for Bellagio in 8-9 minutes. Both Aria and Bellagio offer excellent dining which more than makes up for the lack of amenities at Vdara, which was originally designed to be a condo tower. We will definitely stay again. In fact, we're booked for March! Read less

Isolated. Lengthy walk to anywhere. And, you have to walk somewhere else to get anything because everything here is closed: spa, pools, fitness facility, buffet and restaurants; everything is closed. No idea what the $45-per-day resort is for. Also, the "digital access" system only works on one side of the elevators; and may or may not work on… Read more

Bottom-Line: I strongly recommend that you select one of MGM's 12 other properties in Las Vegas. Read less

After completing a three night stay at this property, I was generally unimpressed with the experience. There are several issues with this property that potential guests should be aware. First, the signage upon approaching the hotel is very confusing. We ended up circling around three times before figuring out how to get to the parking garage. Since prior to COVID this hotel only had valet parking (as we understand it) but is currently only offering self parking, there are no signs directing you to the parking garage except for a small, easy to miss sign located past the guest drop off area. The parking garage itself is poorly laid out and confusing to navigate. Be aware that there is basically no pedestrian access to this hotel and no direct pedestrian access to Las Vegas Blvd and The Strip. People either risk it walking on the open road or you have to take a circuitous route through one of the adjacent casinos. The hotel charges a $50 daily resort fee, but you essentially get nothing for it except free internet (which was fast). During COVID such hotels should be discounting or eliminating their fees. We were even rudely denied complementary bottled water, which I should have gotten as an elite Hyatt member, through which I booked this hotel. The rooms look nice and the views are spectacular, but the hotel does not even come close to offering a luxury experience either through the services offered or the attitude of the staff. Read less
