I visited the Conrad on Nov 26-Nov 29 for business. I'm a Hilton Gold member, and I'm mentioning this because all my issues were related to that. First, at check-in, I was told that I was not eligible for a complimentary upgrade because "I didn't book through the hotel, but through the casino". I booked on the official website of the property, which is rwlasvegas.com. I guess this is not "official" for them, and they wanted me to book through Hilton?! The rwlasvegas.com website has all the official Hilton name and logo on it, and it even MENTIONS AND LINKS to the Hilton Honors website which clearly details all the member perks and benefits. There's no indication whatsoever that member perks will be limited. In fact, it's all the opposite, they make it look like it's part of Hilton and just the official dedicated website of the property. The bottom line is that the property didn't feel like respecting that benefit. The only ray of sunshine in my entire experience was that they allowed me to check in earlier than 3pm. This was nice of them. Next, I opened my Hilton Honors app which detailed all the Gold Benefits I'm entitled to as part of my stay... my stay showed up with all the details and it mentioned I was eligible for a $25 daily food and beverage credit. So I called guest services from the room to ask how can I use that. I gave my room number, and confirmed my gold status, and the lady on the other side checked my account and explained that I am indeed eligible and all I need to do is "charge it to the room" and I'll get the credit applied on checkout. One day before checkout, I called to ask for a late checkout, again as part of the Hilton Gold benefit. I was told that they can't offer that because "there's a large group checking it and we have not rooms available". On checkout day, I was handed a bill that didn't have any credit on it. When I asked about the $25/day credit I was given the same lame "you booked through the casino" excuse. When I told her I literally called to ask and was told that I have this benefit, the front desk agent said "Whoever told you this was mistaken". Well, I don't care if they were mistaken or not. This is what Hilton promises in the app, this is what a hotel employee promised, and this is what a reputable business should own and stand behind. I was very upset, but since my ride was waiting outside I told her to charge my card and that I ask for a follow-up because this is not ok. I was promised a manager would review and contact me... The manager still hasn't contacted me. After all the messy checkout experience with them, I was furious and went online to see whether the hotel was even truly sold out as I was told... and whether the reason I didn't get late checkout was real. Guess what? There was to be plenty of availability on the Hilton official website for same day check-in. So this was just another lie I was told by their staff that simply doesn't want to respect the Hilton Honors program. Oh, and they did give me 2 (super tiny, 300ml) battles of water on check in as part of the Hilton Honors Gold program. So I guess that they do respect the program, but only when it's a cheap and meaningless benefit. Not when it's something of actual worth for a guest. I'm going to submit a complaint to the hotel management, as well as Hilton itself. I had a terrible and misleading experience that reminded me (once again) why I should choose Marriott properties over Hilton. Read less

A group of friends and I booked into the Conrad at Resorts World as part of a trip for the Formula 1 weekend. We often stay at other hotels on the strip but wanted to be outside of the loop of the racetrack on this occasion and decided to give this hotel a try. I have stayed at most of the supposed "high end" hotels on the Vegas strip and this hotel is comfortably the worst of them all. The customer service level throughout our stay was appalling. It started at the airport when one of our group had requested the hotel to organise a car transfer. The hotel had been advised that there were six people in our group and when the driver showed up there were only five additional seats in the vehicle with insufficient room for all of our luggage. Half of our party had to get a taxi instead, which was an added cost and took us longer to arrive. When the initial half of our party arrived at the hotel my wife was unable to check in as the reservation was in my name, and even though she had the reservation details and shares my surname the check-in desk was unwilling to assist. We arrived earlier than the check-in time so there was only one room immediately available, which was fine and as expected in most hotels. However, we asked for all of our party’s luggage to be delivered to this room so we could freshen up after our journey. The luggage took over 45 minutes to arrive and we had to call the concierge twice to request it! While waiting, one of our group noticed some suspicious looking white powder on the nightstand which had obviously not been properly cleaned. We cleaned it up ourselves but on reporting it to the front desk later in day the response was “Did you call for the drug dogs?” as though this was a common procedure that we should have been aware of, and there was no apology to follow. When my wife and I were eventually able to check in, we asked if we could be on the same floor as the rest of our group. The response was “This is the room you have been allocated.” and there was no attempt to look for an alternative on the same floor. This proved to be a huge inconvenience during the trip as we could not easily move between floors to meet up with our party as the key cards only appeared to provide access to the floor that your room is on; after going up and down a couple of times we managed to get lucky with other passengers in the elevator going to the floor we wanted to access. On the Saturday night of our stay two of the four elevators leading to our room were put out of service to accommodate a private event in the Allē Lounge. There was a large queue for the two operational elevators while the two other elevators sat open on the ground floor with no-one getting into them. When we asked the loitering employees about using the empty elevators, they said they could do nothing about this and we would have to wait. Again no apology was forthcoming for the inconvenience. The final insult came when we were leaving the hotel. I asked a doorman if he could arrange an executive vehicle for us to be transferred to the airport. He asked for my host’s name and when I couldn’t recall he became a quite bristly so we decided to take a regular taxi. As we were getting into the taxi another doorman came to assist and he yelled to him “These people don’t need any help”. This was another perfect example of the terrible customer service experienced during our stay. Generally, the hotel and casino lacked a fun vibe, with the casino being largely empty during our stay apart from a few hours on the Saturday night. The hotel was a huge let down and with the availability of better-quality hotels on the Vegas strip we will most definitely not be returning. Read less

At check in, I agreed to pay around $50 a night extra for a room upgrade. Turns out my room was the exact same room, similar floor and view as my friends who didn’t pay extra, so if offered, just decline any offered upgrades. It’s a scam. For the size of the hotel (huge), the pool should have been bigger, though I will say the pool cocktail service was good. All and all, it was ok but I’ll probably try another hotel next time. Wow. I had great expectations of Conrad before this trip. However, everything went downhills right after check-in. We have 3 nights of stays with 3 separate bookings due to 1 booked with a free night certificate and 2 booked separately. We called and confirmed multiple times prior that they were all linked to the same room. Upon check-in, we were told our choices were a 9th floor 2 queen beds, or if we want something higher, it will be a king bed. Since we were traveling with kids, we picked the 2 queens room. When we got to the 9th floor, immediately we smelled strong weed emanating throughout the corridor. We requested to move to a different floor, they somehow found an 18th floor 2 queen beds for us, which was great but what about the nothing higher than 9th floor lies? We confirmed again that we would be staying in the same room for 3 nights, and we were told yes. On the 2nd day, we got a call around 9pm from a resort manager who told us that we were supposed to check out. We explained the situation. Then, 10 minutes later, we got a call from housekeeping manager asking the same thing. That's when we realized something might have happened. We dropped everything we were doing and everything we planned to do that night and returned to the hotel immediately. We found our keys no longer work. We picked up new keys from the front desk after explaining everything the 3rd time. We returned to our room only to find housekeeping had ignored our "do not disturb" sign, made their way into the room, and touched all our personal items on the bed and in the bathroom. At this point, we no longer feel safe anymore. Who knows what they had seen. We had personal items out in the open and confidential work related notebook on the table. We won't come back to Conrad Las Vegas next time, even with my Hilton Diamond status. Should have trusted the TripAdvisor reviews. Read less
