The LINQ Hotel + Experience

The Strip, Las Vegas

Virgin rating

The hotel

Well-connected, the name lets slip the hotel’s ‘link’ to extra food, fun and frivolity. The guestrooms are hip and high-tech, but you won’t be there much with the LINQ’s endless diversions. The centrepiece is the High Roller – the world’s tallest observation wheel, at 550-ft high it takes 30 minutes to do the full loop. You’re also ‘linked’ to an exclusive shopping, entertainment and dining promenade. And, of course, the all-essential Vegas casino. Over 21s can enjoy the pool, with nightly swims twice a week, Champagne Sundays and pool deck misting. Then there are the other decadences: the Brooklyn Bowl, a massive bowling and live music venue, and endless dining and drinking establishments, including 24-hour Hash House A Go Go, whose colossal portions featured on ‘Man v Food’.

Stayed here for 4 nights and loved the location! I have stayed in many hotels on the strip over the Years and while this is not the nicest hotel on the strip, it’s not bad and the location can’t be beat. It is right in the middle of all the fun. Convenient to both ends of the strip. We ate at Hash House, the Mexican restaurant and GuyFieris… Read more

I have stayed in many hotels on the strip over the Years and while this is not the nicest hotel on the strip, it’s not bad and the location can’t be beat. It is right in the middle of all the fun. Convenient to both ends of the strip. We ate at Hash House, the Mexican restaurant and GuyFieris restaurants during our stay and they are all different and good. If you eat at Hash House every meal can feed two people which is nice since everything is so expensive in Vegas. I was a bit disappointed in our room which had a view of concrete. When I Asked about it the person told me that All Deluxe rooms had no view or a crappy view. Boo- wish they would have shared that prior to making reservation. The room was very large which was nice. Another annoyance was we paid $50 for a late checkout (3pm) and were trying to get some sleep and housekeeping tried to come in at 1pm. Come on! Get a system in place so housekeepers know what room to wait to clean. We paid for the late check out an entire day before, plenty of time for notifying housekeeping. Read less

Arrived 10.30pm after long flight from London. Room not ready. Check in is from 4pm so not sure why. Waited nearly an hour before finally getting into hotel room. Room ok. Bed comfortable. Expected to see a fridge. No fridge. Just a big hole where it once lived.

The hotel is in a great central location and we enjoyed the close by restaurants but rooms are starting to show their wear. The Linq hotel search states frig in every room, there are no refrigerators and also says there is Valet but we found out the hard way, Valet has not been available since the reopening after COVID so option of self parking is not convenient especially if you are hauling around luggage and parking spaces are hard to find making for a long walk. Small bed pillows more like throw pillows and only two per bed, no additional in room available, also only soap/lotion/shampoo option are wall dispensers that others have touched, would prefer individual toiletries. Room was clean and also smelled clean. Read less

We were missing soap bars for the sink and shower and when I went down to ask for soap they apologized and said we will have someone bring some up. By the time we got back to our room that evening the bars of soap were there. Walkin shower was great as well. Went to the pool 3 days which found poolside beds very pricey compared to last time we stayed there a few years ago. They blamed it on Covid. None the less we rented the bed. Our waitresses at the pool for all 3 days were very friendly and were by continuously asking if we needed anything else and was always filling our bucket with more ice. Drinks are overpriced but knew that going in. We have stayed at The Linq a few times and will go back. Read less

I called in the morning (technically yesterday) and again this afternoon, but no one has remedied the loud smoke detector that chips every two minutes. Luckily, I’ve been out of my room most of the day, but I’m clearly ready to sleep now. After having battled continuously broken sleep last night (when the chirping began), I dread tonight. I called for a maintenance fix (AGAIN) about fifteen minutes ago, and I was once again ‘assured’ that someone would come fix it immediately. At this point, I have to wave-off anyone thinking about staying here for DEFCON. I am about to head down to the lobby to request a refund for the night. Read less
