I’m so glad that Merrill Farm Inn popped up (it was one of the few places with rooms available that had 2 beds rather than a single queen/king). We had a lovely stay! The front desk staff was friendly and helpful, describing amenities and giving advice about activities. And we really enjoyed our meals in The Barn restaurant! We arrived a bit hangry for dinner because we had planned to eat at a popular spot in Conway but the wait times were super long so we just came back to The Barn, where our moods were quickly lifted. The server/manager who was manning the place solo was very attentive and our dishes were superb (I had ribs with a molasses sauce and mac & cheese and my dad had the steak). The server/manager also went above and beyond and helped us move our reservation for the jacuzzi so that we could have dessert. Breakfast the next morning (included in room rate) was also very good. Overall our stay was very comfortable, and the location was surprisingly nice—the views of the sunset over the river behind the cabins was beautiful. Read less

Last year when we stayed in July, there was urine on the toilet, the shower was gross, and customer service almost non existent. We used to stay every year since 2014 and wanted to make it our yearly tradition, but sadly we're looking elsewhere this year. We paid $497 total for a king sized bed in the barn. Every year the price keeps going up, while housekeeping keeps getting worse. Apparently they cannot find enough local people to help during the summer months? When we first arrived and told the front desk about the bathroom we were given disinfectant since nobody else was available. Speaking of the bathroom, if you get a room with a Jacuzzi *do not use it.* Last time we tried it started circulating brown slime. When we came back from a long day out one day, our towels had not been replenished and we had to ask for more. Writing this now because we were making plans for July 2020 and realized I had not reviewed last year's visit. Looked up Merrill again in our search and see it would cost even more this year, when similar inns down the road are $200 cheaper for three nights. If you're looking for a region for hiking and exploring, Conway is a great town to set up from. Merrill Farm was our favorite inn. However I can not longer recommend it. Read less

We were very happy staying here. One of the best priced hotels/inns in the area. We walked in the room and I immediately thought they could be charging more! We were in a large king-size room with an electric fireplace. I actually wanted a historic room in the inn, but since this also had a deep jetted tub I appreciated the upgrade. The front desk was very friendly. We had a small issue with the bathroom (not their fault, a broken chain inside the toilet) and they sent a maintenance guy to us in less than 10 minutes. Lots of TV channels (we re-watched Tootsie!) and free WiFi. We were a little nervous about the dinner, having read some negative reviews, but the salad was tasty and crispy and the burger was good. There was only one guy working, so he seemed a bit hard-pressed. They might consider hiring a hostess/extra hand for busy nights. And they were out of some of the wines on the list (not a deal-breaker, but updating the list is an easy fix). Anyway it was a great stay and excellent price! Read less

This was the perfect location for a large group (70) that stayed and had a dinner event at the inn. Staff was accommodating, helpful, and just nice. The inn area was a bit dated and could use new bedding, rugs, etc. but it was clean and comfortable.
