We have been going up to North Conway to visit storyland for the past 6 years and we have stayed at the North Conway Grand Hotel every year. This year was disappointing. We had to wait for a room to be available which has never been an issue in the past. When we finally got called for our room the lines for rooms was 45 minutes long. We stayed 3 nights and after the first night our beds were made but coffee and shower supplies were never replenished. After the second night I asked for bed changes which they did but again no coffee and no shower supplies and room seemed to not be clean. Hair was in the sink and shower. My husband had to go ask for supplies which they graciously gave him. On the 3rd morning I went to shower and we had no towels. I don’t expect 5 star service but if you are cleaning a room and they need coffee, shower soaps and towels replenished I would expect that it would happen. We also went out to the pool on our second night after a long day at storyland and every towel bin was empty at 5pm. The service seems to be slipping. We also went down for the ice cream which is usually amazing and the ice cream was crystallized, there was no hot fudge and toppings were minimal. We were very disappointed as we usually love this hotel. Not sure if we will be back next year. Read less

We like to get the family suite so we have the room to relax and watch movies at night. Hotel is extremely kid friendly and staff are very nice and accommodating. From Ice-cream socials and movie night in the room downstairs. They offer great breakfast in the morning to fuel up for the day at Storyland, Santa's village or climbing Mount Washington. Nice restaurants nearby, we like The Muddy Moose and Delaney's. May Kelly's is good but never seems to be open when we are there. The outlets are right at the back door of the hotel, with a lot of good choices. Looking forward to our next visit! Read less

That’s what happen here. Also, guest can get a discount at Story-land if you stay here.. Read less

Not worth the price. Room large but older. Stains on the shower curtain. Linens smelled of chemicals. Air conditioner very loud/grumbling would turn off during the night, causing sleep to be interrupted. Then would kick back on, causing sleep to be disturbed once again. No fan in the bathroom. Air conditioner very loud/grumbling would turn off during the night, causing sleep to be interrupted. Then would kick back on, causing sleep to be disturbed once again. No fan in the bathroom. Bartender reached into ice container with bare hands for my drink ice, dropped the drink straw on the bar and then put into my drink. Saw him take leftover wine from bottle of dinner party and pour the left over wine into an already opened bottle at the bar (different brands) so gross!!! Read less

We stayed for two nights and had a wonderful experience. Clean property, hospitable staff, good breakfast. The rooms are big with nice amenities. The grounds are terrific with hammocks, lawn games, a few pools. Something for everyone!
