I picked this hotel it was nice close to everything and made for a low key relaxing yet uplifting weekend. As soon as we my Mom, my son and myself checked in after a 3.5 hr drive. My Mom wanted to take a shower and saw hair in the shower and did not shower. If the bathroom is gross you think what about the sheets. For this price this should not have been a problem. We told the front desk that had someone come up and clean the shower. But this is basic and I actually paid more for hotel just so we wouldn’t have to worry about things like this. Pretty looking hotel but not sold on if it lives up to its look. Read less

"Resort Hotel" has no restaurant or tavern as advertised, and hasn't for two years! Our small family stayed here for two nights to celebrate Father's Day and the end of the pre-school year for our five year old. When you first arrive at the hotel, which is tucked in at the back of an outlet mall, you'll notice some construction taking place on the facade of the building. No big deal, the place looks ok. There are luggage carts available, which is convenient because no one is going to offer to help you. There are a couple neat art installations in the lobby, and some giant plush statues of a moose and a bear which kids will like. The center of the hotel, a bar and restaurant sits darkened and unused, impressively lending the inn an abandon vibe even as it's full to capacity. Many families stay here and you will likely meet some of them woiting for one of the busy elevators, the inside of which are plastered with ads beckoning you to visit one of the company's other properties. Our room was comfortable, if a little dated. The shower works fine and there were plenty of towels. There are about seven TV channels, which was fine for us. The hotel also will lend you a DVD from their fairly large, family friendly collection. We did notice the sheets on the pull out bed didn't appear to be freshly changed. They had some hairs and a few other bits of debris. We requested a fresh set which they did deliver, but not put on, while we were out. They were left for us in a trash bag on the floor. The outdoor and indoor pools are nice and kids will love them. There's also a nice playground and some games for adults too. At checkout I expressed our disappointment about the lack of a restaurant and bar and was told, "it's on the web site" and "it's been closed for two years" as of that makes it better. To me it's worse! Isn't that enough time to make that clear on the web? The gentleman behind the desk informed me they wouldn't be doing anything to make up for it as "then they would have to do that for everyone." There are plenty of restaurants in the area doing a great job, and some of the hotels have been full service right through these challenging last two years. Time for thIs hotel to get it together and start giving their customers the service they deserve and expect! Read less

My room was on the 4th floor...nice accommodations (adequate). Refrigerator (broken bottle holder on the door) & microwave. There is a coffee maker (I never use the ones in room after reading an article about how germy they are). The shower dripped (I couldn't shut it off when I left). There is currently NO RESTAURANT! There is a coffee maker (I never use the ones in room after reading an article about how germy they are). The shower dripped (I couldn't shut it off when I left). There is currently NO RESTAURANT! I also found it appalling that they charge guests $7.95 for a continental breakfast (bagel, muffin, etc.)...oh, and don't expect that free cup of coffee past 10AM! My stay was a gift from my husband. For years I went on a spa weekend, always by myself...with a couple of books, a couple of bottles of wine, and just relaxed - by myself! I would get 2-3 spa treatments and come home refreshed & relaxed! While this hotel offers limited spa services in a couple of rooms in the lower level...I was quite impressed with the 3 services I had. Would I go back? Probably not; but, if you happen to stay there because of the outlets, PLEASE take advantage of the spa. The deep tissue massage helped my left neck, upper back area immensely...the 3 therapists I met were very professional and extremely competent! It is a shame that it is not more widely known that this place exists. Oh, by the way, the Outlets are depressing, as there an awful lot of empty stores! Also, they don't have a great selection in the stores that are still trying to survive! Read less

I stayed one night recently. The first thing I noticed when arriving is they put a $50 hold on your card and only accept cards for everything they’re cashless. In their pictures you can see a clear view of the mountains from the pool. It’s all fenced and you can’t see the mountains at all anymore. The breakfast had no bacon or sausage,or really… Read more

In their pictures you can see a clear view of the mountains from the pool. It’s all fenced and you can’t see the mountains at all anymore. The breakfast had no bacon or sausage,or really much of anything. The waffle machine was unusable and gross limiting us to some dry cereals and fruit, that you have to pay8$ for. The breakfast was worse than any continental included breakfast I’ve been to,so we decided against it because there was no options.Usually I just go with the flow and this stuff doesn’t bother me but this is not worth the price. I will say the room was very clean and spacious so that’s why I gave it two stars instead of one ! Read less

My boyfriend and I stayed at the NCGH this past winter. We got a great deal on a hot tub room cuz it was off season. Pros: The room was very clean, which I was happy with given the reviews I was reading prior to going, the whole hotel was very clean. We loved the pool and especially the outdoor hot tub. We had fun watching the Christmas movies in the movie room. There were a ton of dvd options to pick from and the TV was huge and good quality: Location is amazing, cannot be understated how close it is to everything and so many good stores and food stops. There’s a Walmart and a grocery store right down the street to get essentials (like we got bubble bath for the hot tub, snacks for the room etc) Staff were friendly and helpful. We got a great deal due to the time we went. I loved the decor and we loved playing card games and sitting down in the main lobby with the fire. I found the “vibe” of the hotel really relaxing and fun. Cons: the restaurant was closed for sit down service, and I hadn’t realized that upon booking, should definitely be in large print on the website : when we ordered to go from there the menu was small, and the food was OK but expensive so we never ordered there again. The free breakfast was a store bought muffin and an apple , coffee was good but I feel the breakfast could’ve been better considering the regular restaurant was closed (even cereal would’ve been better ) . We both wished the gym and pool had been open a smidge later, especially since there’s someone at the desk that could’ve watched the area. Check in was pretty backed up, and that’s probably due to having only one person on the desk: they were kind and tried hard but it was a bit frustrating to wait that long just to check in (line was 30 minutes or so) There’s no my many good cable stations, the dvd selection was OK but we had brought an HDMI cord and adapter to hook up my iPad to the TV and watch Netflix and Hulu and I highly recommend this !! Overall: we would stay again during a time the prices were good: if we were paying “busy season” prices I would’ve been pretty unhappy with some of the “cons” especially the crappy breakfast, but since we got a great deal and enjoyed the other aspects I was OK with it.
