There’s more than a ‘nod to nature’ at 1 Hotel Brooklyn Bridge – it’s eco-friendly to its very core, from your room’s organic bedding to the nature-inspired children’s activities, daily Lobby Farmstand, use of reclaimed barn wood, and local artisanal products at the picnic-style restaurant. Style doesn’t suffer for sustainability, with features like corrugated leather headboards, gritty blackened steel, crate-style slatted closets, and a pop-up beer garden all giving the hotel a cool and contemporary edge. And they haven’t sacrificed those urban hotel essentials either, so you get complimentary WiFi, the Bamford Haybarn Spa, and a free shuttle into Manhattan (in a Tesla electric vehicle naturally) – although you could just stroll over nearby Brooklyn Bridge instead. But it’s the social buzz and views that make this place special, with the best enjoyed while sipping handcrafted cocktails on the rooftop pool terrace.

The highlight of the stay was our room- it had a view of the Brooklyn bridge right outside the window. The view at night was just amazing. The second highlight was the rooftop pool. The views are just incredible. I’m going to make a pros and cons list to keep it short.
Pros- beautiful property, nearby to good restaurants and things to do, friendly and professional staff, very clean, good onsite restaurant
Cons- very pricy depending on the room/suite you choose, pool is small and overcrowded, poolside food and beverage service is incredibly slow, parking your car and then getting your car also takes forever (valet, but they are not outside waiting for people to pull up).
Pros outweigh the cons in my opinion and I would definitely return!

She offered me a menu, which I accepted. The hostess returned to her podium and stared at her phone or iPad for the next 30 minutes until we left, not once looking up.

5 star hotel; 3 star service.

I have been looking forward to staying at this hotel for a long time and I'm glad I did. I was upgraded to the suite and the views was mind-blowing. Probably one of the best views in all of NYC. That's the only reason I'm giving this hotel a 4-star.

I have been looking forward to staying at this hotel for a long time and I'm glad I did. I was upgraded to the suite and the views was mind-blowing. Probably one of the best views in all of NYC. That's the only reason I'm giving this hotel a 4-star.
Pros:
1)Great location. Lots to do around DUMBO. Don't need a car. You can just walk around.
2)Rooms have great views.
3)Heated rooftop pool. Only 3ft deep though. Can't really swim in it.
Cons:
1) They botched my car pickup from the airport by booking the wrong date. I was promised reimbursement for the cab ride but never got it.
2) Don't expect 5-star service. You're just another guest the hotel. Don't expect personalized service that you'll usually get at the Ritz, Four Seasons, Pendry etc.
3) Late checkout is 1230pm, not 4pm.
Overall:
Book this hotel if you want great views of Manhattan skyline and you want to be in Brooklyn. That's really what you're paying for.

My wife and I were in Brooklyn for a few days celebrating our 10th anniversary. I knew I wanted to stay in Brooklyn, so I just did an internet search to find a luxury/top hotel and came across the 1 Hotel Brooklyn Bridge. They had availability, nice discounts on rates at the time, and it looked great online. Walking into the hotel was breathtaking -- a beautiful contemporary building with lots of greenery and natural materials and surfaces. Everyone was welcoming and attentive from the first second to the last second when we checked out. In addition to great service and beautiful design, being a sustainable facility from A to Z was the icing on the cake. And it's all done so well and with high taste. Absolutely recommend it to others. And definitely would stay there again. Special shout out to James and Yoursey (apologies b/c I probably got the spelling incorrect).
Oh, one last thought! Love the Bamford spa too. Shout out to Lindsay at the front desk and to my therapist Jeanette.

Visiting my son who lives in Brooklyn
Sep 5, 2024589stacydMount Washington, Kentucky
This is a pretty hotel and has a lot of staff to help. But rooms were small-even for New York there was no door on bathroom. It was in the room and they made my grandson leave pool by 5:00pm. Very young crowd hanging around in hotel Hobby and outside. If you are under 40 this is the place to be.
