1 Hotel Brooklyn Bridge

Brooklyn, New York

The hotel

There’s more than a ‘nod to nature’ at 1 Hotel Brooklyn Bridge – it’s eco-friendly to its very core, from your room’s organic bedding to the nature-inspired children’s activities, daily Lobby Farmstand, use of reclaimed barn wood, and local artisanal products at the picnic-style restaurant. Style doesn’t suffer for sustainability, with features like corrugated leather headboards, gritty blackened steel, crate-style slatted closets, and a pop-up beer garden all giving the hotel a cool and contemporary edge. And they haven’t sacrificed those urban hotel essentials either, so you get complimentary WiFi, the Bamford Haybarn Spa, and a free shuttle into Manhattan (in a Tesla electric vehicle naturally) – although you could just stroll over nearby Brooklyn Bridge instead. But it’s the social buzz and views that make this place special, with the best enjoyed while sipping handcrafted cocktails on the rooftop pool terrace.

We were stayed at Corner suite room with amazing brooklyn bridge view. Love roof top bar with incredible Newyork city. Easy to take a ride boat to Manhattan. Easy to walk to photo iconic spot of NYC However quite a bit small of bathroom

Very disappointed with out one night stay here. We had been staying in the city and decided the last night of our vacation (my birthday) we should do something different. We love a good luxury design hotel so I picked this one. I was contacted before the stay to ask for preferences and told them it was my birthday and they would arrange for something special to be in the room. We arrived day of right at 3pm for check in. It was clear they were busy but unfortunately that was the tone set for the whole time we were here: were at capacity, so don’t expect much. My original request for a bathtub and high floor wasn’t noted. We needed up only getting 1 of the 2 because: were at capacity, don’t expect much. Once in Our room it didn’t have all the amenities listed on the iPad, so when I called up for slippers and robe (the robe in the room had multiple holes in it) it took over an hour for someone to come. Our birthday cheese plate didn’t come til after we had already left for dinner and that was after asking about it over 4xs via calling downstairs or responding to their texts. Also our room came with $50 spa credit. I went immediately to the spa once checked in to see what I could book and all they told me was they have no availability for the next 2 days and I couldn’t use the credit on anything in the spa shop. Ok. So that was a big waste. I also tried to get a 30min extend on our check out, from 12 to 12:30 so we could leave then for JFK. Nope, we’re at capacity. I mean I can echo what everyone else said about the bathrooms having no privacy, and the light buttons and keys being non-intuitive, there was a weird metal door next to the toilet that opened to electrical equipment that was left open... that list goes on, but I’m really most disappointed about the hospitality and service. I’ve stayed at both much cheaper and much more expensive places and never have I ever had this excuse of a hotel being full as a reason for shoddy service. Really disappointed Read less

I stayed in one the of Liberty view rooms and it couldn't have been a sweeter choice. Having a glass of wine with an open window on such a view definitely heightened the experience for us. And needless to say, we couldn't keep ourselves from keeping the curtains open the entire time we were there. There's nothing much to say about the amenities, except that they were of the highest quality. As a designer, I appreciated every little detail that the hotel possessed. We had a short stay of one night, but regardless our concierge Eszter made sure we were taken care of from a week before the trip until the time we checked out. She was attentive to our every ask and was only a quick text away should anything else come up during our stay. In my many travels, I have never felt so connected and comfortable with a concierge. Thank you 1 Hotel, each moment was magical. Read less
