1 Hotel Brooklyn Bridge

Brooklyn, New York

The hotel

There’s more than a ‘nod to nature’ at 1 Hotel Brooklyn Bridge – it’s eco-friendly to its very core, from your room’s organic bedding to the nature-inspired children’s activities, daily Lobby Farmstand, use of reclaimed barn wood, and local artisanal products at the picnic-style restaurant. Style doesn’t suffer for sustainability, with features like corrugated leather headboards, gritty blackened steel, crate-style slatted closets, and a pop-up beer garden all giving the hotel a cool and contemporary edge. And they haven’t sacrificed those urban hotel essentials either, so you get complimentary WiFi, the Bamford Haybarn Spa, and a free shuttle into Manhattan (in a Tesla electric vehicle naturally) – although you could just stroll over nearby Brooklyn Bridge instead. But it’s the social buzz and views that make this place special, with the best enjoyed while sipping handcrafted cocktails on the rooftop pool terrace.

We booked a stay for my wife's birthday. From the moment we arrived we were met with unfriendly and unhelpful staff. They had two weddings at the hotel and were clearly unable to service the guests. Everything was booked and we had to wait for every meal while we were there. The room was nice but pretty small (which i expected for NYC) and said it had a river view. It did, if you put your head out the window and craned your neck to the right. Bottom line. The roofdeck was very nice and really the only thing worth the extreme price. Read less

When my apartment was being renovated, my sister and mother had to find a place to stay temporarily, and after staying at 1 Brooklyn Bridge Hotel for a few days, we wished it was not temporary. From their sharp service, to their delicious food, 1 Brooklyn Bridge Hotel exceeds expectations and really breaks the boundaries of what a hotel is in all the best ways. Not only do they have an incredible view, fantastic room service, innovative and eco conscious rooms, an enormous pool, a stunning gym, a terrific restraint and so on, and so on. 1 Brooklyn Bridge makes it’s guests feel welcome, at home, but more than anything, refreshed. The rooms are designed to have infinite uses from a filtered water system, to a hammock, each room is different yet fully capable to excite any guest that attends. I rarely get the pleasure of staying in a Hotel as good as 1 Brooklyn Bridge Hotel, and even though I live in Brooklyn, it transported me to a different place, something every Hotel should do. After we checked in the first the first person we spoke to was Eszter Toth. She gave us the lowdown on what to do in the hotel and we listened. The room was very nice and had a great view of the Brooklyn Bridge. We really enjoyed the bar on the 10th floor. We hope to make it back in the summer when we can take advantage of the rooftop pool.
