The Aloft is in a great location, but there is a Sheraton next door and a few other hotels to choose from locally. We thought the service was fine, the bed comfortable and the location great, but there were a few people staying in the room next door who were going in and out and talking all night. We could hear everything, and didn't get any sleep. We moved to another room the next day, but that day was shot. The carpets for some reason were stained in both room. Tip, keep the bathroom fan on all night to block noise from adjoining rooms and the street. Read less

Worse.Hotel.Ever. The room was FREEZING and it is one of those places that even though it has a thermostat that you are supposed to set, it is set centrally. When I tried to call downstairs to complain I discovered that there are NO PHONES in this hotel. So I had to use my cell phone to call from the outside. It took me 7 phone calls before anyone bothered to pick up the phone. The man downstairs was of no help - he said that "eventually" the room would get warmer. It did not and it was so cold and I had to sleep with two layers of clothing and the blankets doubled. And talking about sleep - who can sleep with barking dogs all night? It was incessant - the dogs did not stop barking until 2 in the morning. This morning I used the hotel machine to make coffee . I doubled the coffee bags and adding insult to injury, the coffee tasted like hot water. NEVER. AGAIN will I stay at this hotel. Not even if it were free. Read less

We want to say thank you to Montell at the front desk he was excellent. We also appreciated a welcome gift of two small wines. this is the first hotel to do that and it is a great touch. The view was nice and the room is decorated wonderfully as well. thank you to the Aloft staff

Everything is right around the corner, restaurants, delis, bars, metro station. The staff is really friendly and the rooms are clean and comfy. We stayed as a party of three in a two beds room. Coffee is free and you also can make sind in the room. The only thing what was missing is a toilet brush.

If you are not from the NYC area you may be a bit surprised about the size of the hotel room. Like most living areas in Brooklyn, space is at a premium. So in true Brooklyn style it was a small room. However, it fit everything you needed in an efficient manner. It was clean. They provided ear plugs as there was some construction nearby but we did not experience it. I would rate the beds as a B+. Front desk staff were friendly and helpful. For a short stay it is fine. Read less
