We stayed for nearly 2 weeks at this lovely hotel. We had a 5th Ave suite overlooking the Public Library - incredible views of the lights of NYC. The room was really comfortable - great amount of space for a longish stay and the kitchenette was much appreciated in terms of storing nibbles. Free Nespresso pods and Fine and Raw chocolate was a great touch. Bathroom is very well appointed with a huge shower and double sink, as well as robes. The Japanese automatic toilet was a bit too much technology for our liking though! Really comfortable bed, decent closet space and a large TV rounded off a top notch package of facilities. The gym has very good equipment and seems to be quite popular. The restaurant and bar was too noisy for us on a Friday night and the basement location isn’t ideal either. But these are small gripes for what is an extremely well presented hotel in the perfect location for exploring the City. We walked to Broadway and Grand Central is just a few minutes walk away to take you everywhere else. We are going back in April! Read less

We were 4 adults sharing a 2 bedroom almost-apartment. Great living space, big bathrooms, cozy bedrooms, light filled, floor to ceiling windows, a small balcony, mini kitchenette with microwave and mini dishwasher. Super comfortable, very clean, TVs in each room, unusually generous wardrobe space. Room service / housekeeping requests were dealt with quickly and efficiently. Such a shame we were too busy going out, to enjoy the space more (no bad weather days!) The best GYM of any hotel we have stayed at, which even had a peloton bike. Check in was a breeze, late checkout was no problem. Reception staff were warm and friendly. It’s not full service with a separate door man (to hold the door while you struggle with heavy luggage), concierge, bellboys and check in staff (things you normally expect in a top hotel). The person standing at the lobby counter is a 4 in 1 multi-tasked. So if you have a question or request, or if there is a long check in / out queue, patience is required. There is a small in-house restaurant which does get full & very busy. Service and food is patchy. But with NY mid town restaurants on your doorstep, and even a Wholefoods a block away to fill your kitchenette, you can overlook this in favour of the other obvious advantages. Perfect location in mid town if travelling with first timers to NY. Request a room directly facing the public library and Bryant Park, and you will get a fab view of skyscrapers in the distance. I could not recommend this hotel more. Great value for money compared with other similar priced NYC which are just basic rooms with tea / coffee making facilities. Read less

We enjoyed a 3 day weekend at this property on 5th Avenue. Our room was very contemporary with beautiful hardwood floors and wonderful linens. If you love a minimalistic vibe, this is it. Across the street from the NY Public Library & Bryant Park. Great restaurant in the basement for breakfast.

Overall a good experience. Size and luxury were good for the cost (a great value). Some minor room problems but I would go back again and I would definitely recommend the property to friends and colleagues.
