Called the hotel right away several time and talked to the manager, they said that it was not on the lost and found room. We are very sure that the purse was on the room and whoever clean the room must have seen it. Anyways was expecting a little more help from the manager and never called back. When you paid $600 per night on a hotel if something like this happend you expect more. Even though we had a good time at the hotel and were happy with the stay, with this situation there is no way of going back there at all. Read less

I chose this Hotel due to its location and after reading the reviews. The room was with the Balcony and spacious however the shower was non functional .It either poured very hot water or very cold. After paying 600 dollars for a night who expects a broken shower. All we got was free water and cape cod chips. Breakfast was also not included.

Make sure to ask for a city view room at a high floor to get the full NYC feeling! Our room faced the Public Library and you can spend hours just people watching on 5th Ave from your room (which you shouldn't since you should be out there with everybody else). Best part of the rooms (in addition to the view) are the huge bathrooms with a walk in shower. The restaurant had just opened up again but was never really busy. We gave it a try for breakfast and it was really good! Bryant Park is a nice little neighborhood park where you can get drinks and food. It's very kids friendly. Read less

The first thing we found so odd when we entered the room was that there is absolutely no drawers (other than a night stand) to unpack your clothes. Also - the beds are extremely low to the ground and our mattress was very soft and lop sided. We found the over sized shower to be a bit odd because it is open to the bathroom and you never really feel "hot" in the shower because its such a large space. The plus to the room is that it has high ceilings and is very spacious for NYC hotels. It is a nice bonus to have the complimentary snacks and non-alcoholic drinks. The location is convenient to pretty much walk most places in the city - Upper East Side; Soho; Chelsea; Murray Hill for example. It does have a nice boutique feeling which we like. Read less
