We had an incredible stay at the Andaz Hotel on Fifth Avenue. The hotel's sleek, contemporary design and cleanliness were impressive, complemented by its prime location right across from Bryant Park and within walking distance to Rockefeller Center, Radio City Music Hall, and an abundance of shopping! The Andaz Hotel offers convenience at its finest. The standout feature, however, was the exceptional staff. Every member we encountered was helpful and informative and went above and beyond. What set this experience apart was how well our two little Yorkies were treated – they received the same care and attention as we did. It was a remarkable stay that exceeded our expectations. As New York residents who frequently stay at various hotels, our experience at the Andaz Health Hotel was exceptional. Without a doubt, we'll be returning for another stay in the future. Read less

Hotel was clean with very comfortable beds. The location is great for many of the major tourist stops in Manhattan, and a close walk to Grand Central Station for transit anywhere. We got room service breakfast for the kids daily, which was on time and delicious. Coffee in the lobby was convenient as well. Highly recommend!

This tucked away boutique hotel is ideally located near Grand Central Station, the subway system, and local attractions including NY Public Library, Bryant Park, and the Empire State Bldg. The menu is more health-oriented than what I have seen at other properties and the staff is friendly and fairly helpful when you ask. The gym offers technogym equipment including Pelotons. Rooms are spacious and contemporary. Rooms and hotel in general are a bit dark with limited light. I would like to see a bigger menu and there's no food service at lunch time. This hotel is ideal for younger people or those who are traveling for business. Read less

I would say this hotel is solid. Strengths are: location - was perfect for our quick 1-night stay in NYC arriving & departing from Grand Central Station. This hotel is right across from the NY Library & Bryant Park and around the corner from Grand Central. The room was spacious by NYC standards - we had a standard King room. It was clean, comfortable bed, large windows, automatic blackout shade, robes, slippers, HUGE bathroom with double sinks and walk in shower with room for several adults lol. Adequate towels provided. My critiques would be: no complimentary bottled water in the room, decor of room is quite stark - no artwork on the walls and lighting is pretty low. If you were planning to spend a lot of time in this room, you may find it a bit dark and depressing. It didn't affect us because we stayed 1 night and were only there to sleep and lounge in the evening. The lobby is just OK, not impressive. There are 2 areas where you could sit and wait or gather with a small group but they are not super inviting. My daughter kept asking me - Mom, why is this hotel so dark? I think the issue is that there are no windows in the lobby or the hallways and the lighting is low - more like a cocktail lounge. The other issue was that I guess there is a North Tower and I presume a South Tower. We were in the North Tower and were required to change elevators to get to our room which is super annoying. We had the same issue at another hotel in NYC this summer. It's nothing they can change, but just annoying. We did not interact with much staff, but the guys at the front desk were nice and friendly and we left our bags with them after checkout and that was super easy. Overall this hotel is solid and I would recommend, just struggle a bit with the flow of the space and the lighting. Read less
