The only advantage of this hotel is its location. Other than that, its rooms are decorated in a weirdly fashion style that isn't very high class. Its gym is very outdated and small. Not even water is available there. I only saw one hotel staff for the whole stay (the one when I checked in and not very welcoming). The whole experience just not… Read more

It is just like a holiday inn. Read less

I stayed at Andaz with my family. The location is perfect. The rooms are beautiful, spacious, clean and very comfortable. I’m sure me and my family will stay at Andaz 5th Avenue next time we come to New York.

Disappointing stay. Stayed in a suite with neither of the two tvs working properly, no slippers in the room, and only hot water working in one of the drinks so it was essentially unusable. Quite disappointing given the suite prices.

Location It doesn't get better than this. Across the street is the Public Library. 5th Avenue is an easy walk. Location It doesn't get better than this. Across the street is the Public Library. 5th Avenue is an easy walk. Central Park is only a 20-minute or so walk up North, and going down South towards an array of restaurants and entertainment (at least for me). Plenty of great food options within blocks too. If you need to go to Brooklyn, it's also just across the bridge which is closeby. Hotel Restaurant downstairs, gym, rooms, all beautiful and clean. The fridge stocked with complimentary drinks everyday. Room is contemporary, great views of the heart of the city, and comfortable to stay in for leisure or business. Staff The team at the Andaz is one of the highlights of a hotel in a city filled with beautiful hotels. From the moment you walk in the staff welcomes you in with smiles and warmth. Clay and Sasha have always been superb in welcoming guests in or assisting with any needs small or large. The entire team here has always been fantastic and warm, I have only been able to catch the names of some, but would love to acknowledge everybody on the team. Sometimes you'll see housekeeping or engineering walk around the hotel and they're always kind and will greet you too. The team here seems to be genuinely happy, which emanates to the environment for all guests. Summary Will keep this review short. But this is my go-to spot in New York. Top location. Amazing staff. Great food and beverage in the hotel or around. Comfortable and clean room. Top notch. Read less

Andaz Fifth Avenue truly delivers a five-stars experience. The hotel has an open receptionist area for check-in and check-out, and the staffs can’t be any more helpful. While it is considered a boutique hotel in NYC standard, there is a really huge fitness center with all kind of cardio and weight equipment, along with amenities like chilled bottled waters, towels, and even protein bars, a modern bar/restaurant that features breakfast 7 days a week and dinner 6 days a week, and some nice common areas. There is no club facilities but there is complimentary tea/coffee in the morning, and wines in the evening. For globalists, breakfast was included and the agent explains what was included – one cold beverage, one hot beverage, one main course, and two sides. I think as long as you are reasonable, the hotel will cover the full costs. I ordered an egg dish, a side of meat, breads, and a coffee for the two days I was there. I was upgraded to a suite with a balcony facing Fifth Avenue. I like the modern décor and the small balcony. The small living room comes with a microwave, a fridge that includes complimentary non-alcoholic drinks, two snack items – potato chips and chocolate bar, and Nespresso coffee machines, and a small kitchenette. The bathroom features both bathtubs and showers, along with Dyson hair dryers. All the curtains/shades are electronically controlled but it can use better signage to locate all the buttons though. The location was good, as it was closed to both Grand Central Terminal and Bryant Park. There are plenty of restaurants and shopping within ten-streets block. It provides easy access to subway and hailing a cab is easy. Given the pleasant experience, I can’t wait to come back again. Read less
