Highly recommend. It’s hard to find hotels for 2 friends traveling and we booked a “ cozy twin” - 2 twin beds, great price and were so impressed at every turn! The staff is warm and helpful. They make you feel welcome and part of the NYC excitement. The room design is genius - packed everything you need and more in a small space. Nice sheets and… Read more

Great little hidden cocktail bar and terrace. Didn’t have a chance to eat in the restaurant but it was beautifully designed and adds a nice community feel. Can’t wait to come back! Read less

No storage for personal belongings , cases, clothes, we are here for 7 nights so living out of a case is not a great option! Bathroom needs shelves to put hairbrush, makeup, personal items, it’s all stacked up on the floor! Towels, at 9am asked for clean ones to be delivered before 230pm. At 230, no towels, asked for them again. Waited 15 minutes and then had 3 sets delivered??? Breakfast is below average in choice, taste, heat and general appearance, staff are rude and you feel you are an inconvenience to them. Rooftop bar we visited once, 56$ for 2 drinks! Getting to your room at night is nigh on impossible as lifts are taken over by staff taking people to rooftop bar and hotel guests cannot get in the lift, whilst rooftop customers get in hotel lift without access card and then hold lift even longer whilst we waited for them to realise, eventually I just told them they needed to get out! There is no signage for rooftop customers in general lift so they are left riding up and down hotel floors!!! Music from rooftop bar pumps through the rooms until 2am. Not been a great NYC experience and we have paid a decent price to be here, we have paid less previously elsewhere and had much better experience, service and facilities! Manager introduced himself and proudly announced it was fashion week and we would see lots of celebrities here, not my thing and I feel they are catering towards those people popping in rather than the actual guests! Never again! Read less

So glad I stayed at this hotel. From the warm welcome to the enjoyable chats with Jesus and David it was the perfect spot for traveling alone. My requests, which were made during the booking process, were honored : high floor room away from the elevator. The queen bed frame had a built in cubby for a suitcase and a drawer containing a safe. The petite banquet also had a drawer below it. I did request hangers for the pegs which constitute anything that needs to be hung. A floor to ceiling window provided a view of the theatre district and also made the room feel more expansive. Yes, it’s on the small side however perfectly adequate and beautifully decorated. The penny tiled bathroom was stylish, functional and well ventilated. Pump style containers provided soap, lotion, shampoo, conditioner and body wash. A hair dryer and steamer are on hand as well. I appreciated the complimentary ear plugs: street noise is not an issue but hallway noise is. I’m not an early riser -many guests apparently were, slamming doors and talking to one another. The rooftop bar has wonderful views. I enjoyed a beverage and the tuna tartare which was delicious. I didn’t have enough time to enjoy the restaurant or the second floor bar though both looked inviting. The mini display of Broadway memorabilia is worth a look. Complimentary coffee is available in the restaurant in the am and I did see a sign for continental breakfast offered for a fee. The location is close to theater and a few blocks from Times Square. The closest subway is at 50th street. The only time I felt my guard go up was returning from the Open at 1:30 am. The area has changed dramatically from what it once was however next time I’d grab a cab/Uber to return to the hotel rather than walk from 42nd street. This really is a gem of a hotel with amazingly kind people working here. I’m a downtown gal at heart but would return just to stay. Read less
