We have stayed at a lot of places and the Conrad Midtown is at the top of the list! From the moment we arrived we absolutely loved the place. - We were greeted by the doorman Morning Mike. Mike was very accommodating in helping us to our room. He also gave us a quick tour of the room and its features. - Anne at the front desk was absolutely delightful and truly made us feel welcome. She went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed. - The doorman Chris graciously took time out to show us around the hotel. - Afternoon Mike was always eager to please and really helpful in getting us a car or assistance when needed. Our room was spacious with gorgeous views of the NYC skyline and Central Park. It had a beautiful bathroom with marble tile, a soothing shower and super comfy robes. The location is perfect, it is an easy walk and only a few minutes to Rockefeller Center, St. Patrick's Cathedral, Sak's, Times Square, Broadway Shows, Central Park, 5th Avenue shopping and many restaurants. After the amazing experience we had this is without a doubt the only place we will stay in NYC. It is rare to find people that actually care and provide the type of service you should receive. The entire staff scored an A+. - Anne, AM Mike, PM Mike and Chris definitely deserve special recognition for the outstanding service they provided us during our stay. This is a place we can't wait to return to. We already booked another stay to enjoy the glorious Christmas holiday season in NYC. Read less

Nice hotel in midtown Manhattan. Stayed at a suite which was a nice size; the walk-in closet provided a lot of space for our clothes and items and the bathroom was modern and gorgeous. Unfortunately, the bar and restaurant were because of covid.

First, this is a gorgeous hotel in a great location a few blocks from Central Park. The suite isn't large for anywhere but New York City, but for New York it's a good size. The bed is great too. My issue was the bathroom. First, if your neighbor decides to take a long shower at midnight, you will hear the water running like it's in bed with you. The next day, when I went to take a shower, there was no hot water. How are you a 4.5 to 5 star hotel with 50-plus floors with suites and rooms on each floor, and run out of hot water? And when I call down, they act surprised. I'm literally waiting for the maintenance guy to "check" and wondering if I will be able to shower before I have to check out. When you charge the prices they do and claim to be a luxury hotel, hot water should work. Read less

For the fun of it, I booked this hotel for one night for my two children and I. We live in NYC but I thought it might be a fun way to make some memories before hotels in NYC are back in full swing. After their school sports, we arrived to check in pretty late, around 8pm. There was a European couple in front of us. When we checked in, she told us they were giving us a huge room. No view, but large. So that was nice. Upon entering room 1801, I smelled the cigarette smoke. Full disclosure I could smell it if someone smokes there a few nights ago, but I cannot stand the smell. My kids were tired, had homework, and didn’t want to change rooms so we stayed in the smoky room. Also, The windows don’t open. They appear like they might open two inches but no, sealed shut in a smoky room. That smell will be there for the ages. The light switch didn’t work. We ordered room service for dinner. We are vegetarians and there were only two possible choices for us on the menu and alas, no dessert. When I called to order she said she could provide yogurt for dessert. A salad and a gluten free pasta. There were at least four other meat options. The lack of vegetarian options was disappointing. Long story short, my kids very much enjoyed Hotel Thursday but, having laid $700+ for the room and $190 for the dinner, felt very disappointed. If this hotel is 4.5 stars I cannot imagine what a 3 star hotel is like. I would never recommend this hotel at that price. I imagine I’d feel differently if it was $150. The issue is the price for such a poor experience and lack of options. Read less

We booked a group block for our wedding. Everyone LOVED their stay and we loved ours as well. Staff was helpful and experienced. Rooms were very clean and well managed. An ideal experience! I’ll recommend to all family and friends from now on.
