Great location and excellent service. This hotel is a perfect spot for any NYC trip, its location makes it easy for uptown, downtown transit and easy transit times all around the city. The staff is always very friendly, helpful and accommodating.

We stayed here just before Thanksgiving. Usually this joint charges about $500 a night, but Thanksgiving week is a bargain. Paid only about $250. We stayed here just before Thanksgiving. Usually this joint charges about $500 a night, but Thanksgiving week is a bargain. Paid only about $250. This is the absolutely ONLY reason why we stayed here. It's a good thing that we did not pay $500 a night. We would have been furious. The room was so small as to be barely habitable. The room -- even on our high floor -- was unbearably noisy. All night long. And in the early morning hours with trucks backing up, etc. etc. etc. The reason for this is that the hotel is very cheaply built. You have NO CHOICE but to park your car via valet service. It cost $70 a day. AND if you take your car in and out during the day, they charge you another $70. This kind of nickle-and-diming is so petty. So annoying. Sure. They made a few extra bucks. But every time this happens to us -- despite our patronage of more than 20 years -- it pushes us further and further into the hands of other hotels. The privately owned hotels are much better, much more comfortable -- and much much cheaper. Because they care about your business. MARRIOTT clearly no longer cares about OUR business. Part of this building is also, I believe, a Residence Inn. This invariably means that the hotel will not be good. Don't know why. That's just the way it is. Read less

Incredibly small rooms, worn out bathrooms (paint was peeling, bath tub stopper did not work, glitchy WiFi and TV. The air conditioning also seemed glitchy as it kept kicking on despite being set it 70 and it being quite cold outside. I have not been this miserable in a hotel in a while. We will not be back.

Our room was given to someone else and then were told that it has been given by mistake. Manager didn’t helped and gave us a very very small room on 6th floor which they said will change but never did, pathetic customer service service and pathetic staff

Great, easy stay for a work trip in NYC. Close to transportation and activities. Amazing breakfast. Incredible, helpful staff. Special shout-out to Veronica who is a gem. She made the check-in process the highlight of my day and made me feel special even though I was in the middle of a huge line of folks. Will be back!
