New York’s newest hotel, the Courtyard combines Marriott’s reputation for quality with the allure of a hip and happening location. Rooms are spacious and well equipped but better still, many boast views of the Hudson River – unbeatable! New Yorkers take their fitness seriously, hence the gym is available 24-hours of the day. This was our first trip to NY. The hotel is situated in the middle of the all the locations we planned to visit. It’s very accessible and though it’s pricey compared to other cities, it was worth it. Absolutely cannot fault this hotel. The location is amazing - literally 5-10 minutes walk to either Times Square, Central Park or 5th Avenue and 2 minutes to the nearest subway station. The rooms are small but we were ok with it. The bathroom is challenging for 2 people at the same time. The walls are thin but we had nice neighbors, so it was not an issue. Our room was not serviced daily and when it was it was inconsistent. Sometimes we got face clothes, sometimes we got more TP. The staff was ok at best. It seemed like they were… Read more

It seemed like they were just there to get a paycheck. Thankfully, I checked my bill when leaving. I was charged for 2 breakfasts that I never had. We never even went on the floor with the restaurant/bar. The charge was removed but I felt l I was being questioned in a courtroom to prove I did not have breakfast. Tiny room which was quite dirty and unkempt. I had breathing issues and when i looked at the air filter I realised why. It hadn’t been cleaned for years it looked like. At some point Marriott will need to take a hard look about whether properties should continue to carry the courtyard name or this will devalue the brand.
