It's been a couple years since I last visited this Courtyard and indeed, things are looking up! (I was assigned a room on the 27th floor --- pretty quiet up there!) The biggest news for this visit was a just completed installation of HUGE large screen HDTVs in every room. They are awesome! Beds are comfortable and the location near the 53rd street entrance to the subway is so, so conveneint. They've also installed large soap, shampoo and conditioner dispensers in each bath/shower -- very convenient and I'm sure also saves them bucks too. The shower head is the best in New York in terms of high water pressure. It is fabulous. Beware of the hot temps -- you can get scalded if you push it to the highest heat setting. For price paid on a quieter December weekend, it's a good alternative to other midtown full service hotels. The only disappointment was the fitness room. I never could get any of the video units on the cardio machines to work.. And service, of course, continues to be outstanding in all respects. Read less

Very friendly and helpful staff who went out of their way to help us. Spacious rooms and perfect location to visit Rockefeller center, Macy’s, Radio City etc. Also, very convenient to public transport and a Duane Reade right next door.

Our first ever trip to NYC and already looking to return - and it will be back to this hotel. Arrived earlier than check in so were given the key to the 12th floor to use bathroom and lounge area. Bags taken by staff and we headed straight out to the streets of New York. This hotel is well situated next door to a two floor, large, all night grocery store and a few steps from the subway. Hotel had fantastic views, good size clean rooms always tidied and hovered daily. Went back half way through the day each day for a break and shoe change/shopping drop off - being away from the noise of places such as Times Sq where everyone seems to think is the best place to stay - was great but still had the buzz. I think the location was perfect. We had a mishap and son logged into premium wifi by mistake - this was sorted and refunded without any issues by the reception staff. Just need to add the staff through out the hotel were excellent, attentive and friendly. Only complaint would be a family of 5 adults had 2 double beds and one sofa bed, meaning my adult 21,23 year old sons had to share a bed which didn't go down well at all. I can't understand why hotels have to put two doubles and not one double and two singles - not all adults can share a bed! Planning to return in October next year (same time as this year) hope we can contact hotel to get the same room. 10/10 ... thoroughly recommend. Read less

Terrific location (with a subway station just outside the lobby); large and modern room (with a city view); and very reasonably priced ($188 for Saturday and $101 for Sunday and Monday, plus taxes). This was a gem compared to the small rooms I've encountered at other Manhattan hotels.

This hotel was convenient for getting to NY Presbyterian Medical Center for treatments. The only thing missing was room service for food when I wasn’t feeling well. For breakfast, there was Starbucks but only open until 10am. Lack of in-hotel food was our only complaint. When i found I needed a handicap-accessible room, they made it happen right… Read more
