We gave this hotel a try mostly due to the convenient location. The staff was very friendly and professional. The rooms were standard size for NY. Just had one issue with the air conditioner but the staff was able to help us out immediately. The hotel has an Irish restaurant located in the back of the hotel but didn’t try it. Would stay here again mostly for the staff and location. Read less

I really enjoyed my stay at the Fitzpatrick Grand Central in NYC this past Columbus weekend. The staff, in particular Victor, was very helpful with getting me settled in and welcoming me to New York City. I highly recommend this hotel and will definitely be coming back to stay here the next time I'm in town!

This was literally the worst hotel stay of my life. I was in town for cancer treatment. A family in a neighboring room recorded a private phone conversation and took it to management to say I was loud. I overheard them telling the children (who a few hours earlier were screaming and chasing one another in the hallways and I almost fell over them) they wanted to see what they could get for free. My room had a ton of construction noise and the manager refused to move me or provide earplugs. Later that evening I went down to ask to leave due the the unbearable noise. In the end they gave me a louder room with flight attendants who were up all night pounding up above. The next day the night time woman was still there and she told the other front desk that I had given the family a 25% discount, but when I saw her I made it 50!” They laughed and ridiculed my appearance. Another employee had a recoding on his phone playing that sounded like me talking, and when I asked about this upon leaving I might as well have been in the Bronx because the other front desk woman starting dpeaking to me as if I was in a inner city movie about to be beaten up As I was getting up she changed her face and bust out laughing at me, like highschool kid. This was the worst treatment of my life and they put reports about me into the computer system and another database. CANCER PATIENTS DO NOT STAY HERE!! They should be ashamed of their despicable behavior Read less
