The hotel

Irish charm a-plenty is what you get at the Fitzpatrick Manhattan. You don’t have to come from the emerald isle, however, to enjoy the airy rooms, personal touches and Irish food. The Fitz is your very own place to enjoy some pub-grub, Ireland-style, and a pint of that famous black stuff. Just around the corner from Bloomingdales, Central Park on the doorstep, and St Patrick’s Cathedral nearby — it’s safe to say you’ll be in a fine location to get exploring in a New York minute.

Where Fitzpatrick has cons they make up for it or at attempted to with their service which is 5 star. Trust that I haven’t received this type of service from 5 star luxury resorts. I was sung happy bday & given & bottle of champagne with all the accoutrements. With that aside the place could use some updating & sound proofing as you can hear all the city noise & there’s currently construction across the street. The elevators are extremely small & can sometimes take awhile so be aware when booking ride shares. Read less

Our suite was quiet, well furnished with reliable temperature control. Large room especially by NYC standards... 2 closets were a bonus. Staff was friendly and helpful. Lobby , Bar and restaurant were relaxing with lovely atmospheres. Very walkable neighborhood with all you need close by. Nice to be out of the hustle but still in the city. P.s.… Read more

The Fitzpatrick Hotel was an excellent and beautiful hotel that I will definitely go back to visit! Our first visit to NYC for our 22nd-year anniversary was made unforgettable by Brendan Foley, the Front Office Manager, who provided service that was not just professional, but also personal. We flew from SoCal to LGA (12 hours or so), got an Uber, and traveled 1 hour for less than 10 miles. We then walked into the hotel (that I thought I had reserved, but apparently didn't), so my husband and I scrambled until we found a vacancy at the Fitzpatrick Hotel, and we're sure glad we found it. From the moment we walked into the hotel, we felt welcomed and never rushed (unlike many other hotels in NYC). If I could call and give my review to his boss, I would... That's how much he made an impression on our trip. Thank you, Fitzpatrick Hotel, and THANK YOU SO MUCH to Brendan Foley! Read less

Me and my husband stayed here for our last few nights of our honeymoon. When we finally arrived to this hotel after a long journey, we were greeted with the most heart warming and lovely staff members! Our tour agent forgot to mention it was our honeymoon however the guys behind reception didn’t let that stop them from making it a memorable stay for us. We got greeted with a bottle of champagne and a promise of an upgrade the next day. When the next morning arrived we got moved to a beautiful room with a garden. (We never asked for it but it was done anyway). Brendan and Regan went above and beyond for us. Even provided us with a late check out and a cute teddy bear on our last day. The staff was so informative and made our stay in New York extremely easy and relaxing. The location was amazing but staff made it 5 star! If we ever return to NYC we will stay here again. Thank you so much again for your Irish hospitality ❤️ Read less

We went to New York for a week to mark our 40th wedding Anniversary and it was fabulous, the sights, the parks, Brooklyn Bridge, the atmosphere and especially the opera, which was the highlight of our visit. We were delighted that we booked into Fitzpatricks Manhattan. When we booked they upgraded us to a suite which was fantastic. The hotel is beautiful. It's spotlessly clean. The bed was comfortable as was the pillow (how often do you get to say that!) The location is very convenient. All the staff in the hotel the restaurant and the bar were great and made us feel at home. Tom and his colleagues at reception very helpful and a mine of information about getting around New York. Thanks to each and every one of them. We will recommend Fitzpatrick's to anyone we know who are going to New York and will, hopefully be back ourselves. Dan and Therese O'Connor. Read less
