Fitzpatrick Manhattan

Midtown, New York

The hotel

Irish charm a-plenty is what you get at the Fitzpatrick Manhattan. You don’t have to come from the emerald isle, however, to enjoy the airy rooms, personal touches and Irish food. The Fitz is your very own place to enjoy some pub-grub, Ireland-style, and a pint of that famous black stuff. Just around the corner from Bloomingdales, Central Park on the doorstep, and St Patrick’s Cathedral nearby — it’s safe to say you’ll be in a fine location to get exploring in a New York minute.

We have stayed at this hotel more than five times over the past several years and have been very satisfied with every stay. Its a nice quaint hotel at a reasonable price considering its location. The hotel staff has been very attentive to our needs and we look forward to each stay in the Big Apple.

Just 2 minutes walk from the 59th Street subway station, this hotel is in a great location for anybody and everybody, wherever you might wish to go or do in NYC. We stayed here last month in a suite with bedroom, sitting room, bathroom and a little kitchen annex. The hotel is comfortable, warm and spotlessly clean. The restaurant on the ground floor, adjacent to the lobby, serves delicious food which I thoroughly recommend. The staff are all very friendly and cheerfully informal, which serves to create a nice “at home” kind of feeling. The Palace Diner, less than 100 metres away around the corner on 57th Street is perfect for breakfast. In the opposite direction on 57th Street, you’ll find The Juan Valdez cafe with delicious coffees and pastries of all kinds. Having experienced several other hotels in NYC over the years (all of which were very nice), I have to say that Fitzpatricks on Lexington Avenue is magnificent and we will be returning. Read less

Wife and I took a weekend getaway in NYC, break from work and kids. Booked ahead as knew they would be busy for Valentine's weekend. Staff was lovely from the time I booked until we departed. Chose a smaller boutique hotel for the intimate atmosphere and higher level service...th Fitzpatrick did not disappoint. Room was not ready when we got there but we were early. They were so nice and tried to accommodate, ultimately upgrading us to a suite. Great location close to Subway 6 line and just east if midtown attractions and shopping. Great diner around corner on 57th, palace. Read less
