The hotel was clean, my room was quite small, but adequate. Everything was fine until the water stopped. I went without water for 12 hours, then without hot water for over 24 hours. The front desk seemed clueless as to what was happening. They could provide no guidance or any alternatives. They said the whole hotel was without water.

Stayed for 4 nights. In an excellent position, very central. Clean rooms and not a bad size at all for a city hotel. Room.service daily. Two lifts and we never had a problem getting one of them. Reception helpful. No problem with homeless people outside the hotel as these people are literally everywhere in new york and the odd ones we saw outside… Read more

If you check in at night or come back to your room at night expect to see that all of the benches directly outside the hotel's front door are occupied by the homeless who are allowed by the hotel to sleep there. There were garbage bags of their belongings everywhere. Additionally there were 10-5 transients sitting on the benches smoking pot and… Read more
If you check in at night or come back to your room at night expect to see that all of the benches directly outside the hotel's front door are occupied by the homeless who are allowed by the hotel to sleep there. There were garbage bags of their belongings everywhere. Additionally there were 10-5 transients sitting on the benches smoking pot and high as a kite. You actually had to work your way around to get in the door. Once inside expect to get in line to wait for the 2 extremely slow elevators. When I was there the line was out the door. There were signs telling you to build the elevator wait time into your comings and going. Completely unacceptable. We will never stay there again. Read less

This hotel is located 10 minutes from everything! It's a 10-minute walk to Times Square, Broadway theaters, subways, and many restaurants within seconds of exiting the hotel. Like many hotels in NY, rooms are small, but beds, showers, and amenities like Dove are fantastic. Rooms feel safe, clean, and have a mini-fridge. Upon arriving, GSA Karolin was fantastic, welcoming me as an IHG member and leaving a pleasant experience. I would totally stay here again. The only con (which is not part of the hotel) is the public space in front, which sometimes has riff-raff, giving a bad impression for the hotel. Read less
