Room was clean and elevators were not bad at all. Location was great. Desk staff was helpful and reviews saying there’s a problem with homeless in front of the hotel are totally overblown. Would definitely return. Walking distance to MSG and Port Authority.

On 7/29 I had a reservation here and friend who was also staying. While waiting for my friend to come down security guard approached me… Management did see that I did have a reservation and checked in. In the morning was promised a full refund. That was 21 days ago.

We spent four nights here recently and found the hotel to be exactly what we were looking for. Great location in Midtown, near a subway line. Many reviews complain about the public plaza in front... we had no problems walking through there. Only one time were there homeless people inhabiting the area. The other times we had no issues. I would stay here again. Read less

The major complaint about this hotel seems to be the outside courtyard. After speaking with the nice outside guard, David, he explained that there is nothing anyone can do to stop people from congregating there, but they do monitor it. We knew what to expect so we just walked straight straight through to the doors. It wasn’t a big deal for us. We had no problems with any of the staff. Had to call and ask the front desk for extra towels and each time we had them delivered within ten minutes. Didn’t have a problem with the elevator times. (We were on the 18th floor.) It’s NYC, so I expect to wait for an elevator. The beds we’re comfortable and the shower was nice. The refrigerator in the room was cold. It was about a ten minute walk to Times Square. There are plenty of restaurants nearby. Read less

The security guard at nights is absolutely rude. I asked front desk for additional cups and the guy was completely rude to us. There are only two elevators for 36 floors. They can get very crowded so do plan for extended wait during rush hours. The lobby area is very small and crowded. The ugly: The benches outside the hotel are filled with homeless people doing drugs and sleeping overnight. This was scary and a complete inconvenience since we were traveling with kids. Although, there was police in the area it was a stress going in and out of the hotel every day. We even witnessed 2 policeman chasing a homeless guy that apparently had stolen something. This was scary! In my opinion, there are better hotel choices close to this location. I would not stay here again. Read less
