We stayed 3 nights and enjoyed great service, at the front desk and from housekeeping. The room was tight, but well-appointed. Also had a drink in the very hopping bar. Blackout curtains in room, great bath products.

It was a small room so we asked if, as a Platinum elite, we could move to a larger room. Natalie (guest services) was extremely helpful and we moved to a large room no view, but very comfortable. I'd like tu o also give thanks to the manager of the executive lounge. She's from Jamaica and is fabulous, it's my own awful memory that I can't recall her name. She was extremely gracious, especially as some guests were quite rude. The breakfast options were very good. Read less

Perfect location for our daughter’s 22nd bday trip. Just across the street from Central Park, walking distance or easy subway ride to theater district, some fun cocktail bars, and great dining. Staff was attentive, and helpful. Hotel is classic but still looks great. Our Park view suite room was perfect for what we needed for the three of us.

If the hotel staff can't get a room ready by 8pm what would have happened if we'd arrived at 4pm, a 4 hour wait? I suppose the view of a tree which happens to be on the opposite side of the road in Central Park counts as a Central park view! Dinning, the restaurant is more like eating in a shopping mall. Had breakfast and got chased out of the restaurant. My crime, having waited for seven minutes for the bill to arrive I got up and walked out. You might question how I know it was seven minutes, or why was I timing them. Well having waited a long time for coffee and eventually having to ask another server timing them seemed only fair. Even more concerning is their response to a poor review. "We hear your concern and would like to discus more about this, Barry. Can you please send us your email and reservation name?" Three days later I'm still awaiting a response. Having just asked for an extended check-out I was given 1 hour. Maybe they'd forgotten the 4 plus hours from check-in. I'd rate this hotel 2 stars with nice chandeliers. Read less

Wonderful location, next the Central Park. Room are good, for NYC standard and also the service is ok, all this considering that we are in New York City Breakfast is good, and you can find good options.
