The dark grey and black decor was depressing. Old building with a surface update. Bedroom was small. Only way to control heating was to turn off at the plug. No fan or ventilation in the bathroom. Few TV channels. Elevator was erratic as electronic card reader frequently didn't work on the one elevator functioning out of 3. We were on 11th of 12 floors so often a 15 minute wait for elevator and too far to use stairs. Hospitality room with specialty coffee and afternoon snacks was not available despite visited on two separate days within the posted times of availability. Urns of regular coffee were there 24 hours but cold when I tried them. Reception staff would smile and shrug that nothing they could do about any problem. Location was good but better hotels in the price range available on same street. Read less

Great hotel in a great location. Breakfast options include bagels, muffins, fruit and cereals. About a 15 minute walk from Time Square and the subway is on the same road. Staff helped us to book a taxi back to the airport at the end of our stay. Great restaurant connected to the Kixby called ‘The Black Tap’ which I also recommend. They also give you a free water bottle. Gym is small but nice and next door you can fill up flavoured water for free as well as teas and coffees. Very helpful to find an umbrella in our room because it was raining when we first arrived. Also equipped with shower products and a hairdryer. Even an iron and ironing board! We hope to return in the future. Read less

The room was stunning, complete with a bath and shower, as well as twin sinks and so clean. As it was my birthday a note and bottle of bubbly was left which was such a lovely touch. The location is excellent, a metro station at the bottom of the road and in walking distance to MSG, Macy’s and the Empire State Building - really handy for getting around. We are truly grateful to the team at Kixby. A special thank you to Shawn on reception also, we were shattered after a long flight to NYC and Shawn was so friendly and helpful it was refreshing after a tiring day. Thank you Kixby; we will recommend you to all friends and family without a second thought 😊 Read less
