We stayed at Kixby Hotel for five nights in total. Our first night was before our cruise and the remaining four nights after our cruise so we have experience two room, the first on floor 5 and the second on floor 12. Upon arrival we were greeted by Jose who kindly took our bags and introduced us to reception. Check in for both stays was smooth. Greeted by a very nice friendly member of reception. Our first room was slightly smaller than I thought it would be but we were only in it for one night. My first impression was that the room felt dark (but I later discovered there was a dimmer switch and the lights were on dim!) we had a very comfortable night ! Check out was smooth and easy and Jose walked us to 6th Avenue to to get us a taxi to our cruise ship (there were some road works outside the hotel which stopped traffic for a short period of time) We returned following our cruise for our second stay at Kixby. Again greeted and assisted by Jose, checked in by friendly efficient reception staff. We couldn’t access our room until around 3pm (which was expected) and due to awful weather staff loaned us an umbrella whilst we set about exploring. We were delighted our room was ready early and were even more delighted when we saw the room. It was superb! Lovely large quiet room. We slept incredibly well! Breakfast was exactly as advertised and more than ample for our needs. The breakfast hostess was a lovely friendly lady (sorry meant to get her name but forgot)! She always had a friendly smile and a pleasant good morning ! Staff organised a few taxis for us, recommended a local Italian restaurant and also arranged a surprise bottle of champagne for our anniversary. We met several different staff members around the building all of whom were lovely. The hotel is located very close to Macy’s, 5th and 6th Avenue, Flat Iron building and the Harry Potter store. We were very well aware of the facilities fee and witnessed staff explain this to several guests on check in. There were also notices regarding this so I’m surprised to read some guests saying they were unaware. Staff work incredibly hard to look after guests! We had a lovely stay at Kixby and would certainly stay here again if we were to return to NYC. Thank you to Jose and all of the staff for making our stay very special! Read less

Great location, Macy’s was at the bottom of the street. Easy access to so many nearby attractions. Plenty usb charging ports snd sockets to charge things. Decent sized tv and lovely big area to put all your things, plus enough drawers and a wardrobe (with robes that you can use during your stay). There is also an ironing & ironing board you can use if needed. The bathroom was small but certainly big enough to use easily. The staff were so nice and helpful and the roof bar is a great place to sit for a drink and look up at the ESB or down towards Macy’s. We had breakfast included in our stay but it was very samey samey and not much choice, that was the only downside we had there. We would stay there again, 100%. Read less

Had the most fantastic stay at the Kixby Hotel. Stayed for 6 nights (room 702 with a view of Macy’s) and everything from the check in to check out was simply a pleasure. All of the staff were faultless and could not have done more to make our stay the most fantastic. Great location and base for exploring all of NYC. The rooftop terrace… Read more

The rooftop terrace provided fantastic views of the ESB. There are a number of restaurants and fast food places nearby - particularly Roma Pizza! We would definitely recommend and stay again at Kixby hotel. Read less

What a fabulous hotel. The rooms are great and the staff are so helpful and amazing especially Jose who was exceptional. If you are going to new York this is the place to stay. It is located next to 5th Avenue and you can see the empire state building from the roof bar. What a view at night. This is a must if coming here
