Lotte New York Palace

Midtown, New York

The hotel

Railroad magnate Henry Villard's 19th-century mansions were combined with a sleek tower to create one of the city's best hotels. It's a place where the staff greet you as if they have known you all their lives, and nothing is too much trouble. The location is one of the best in Manhattan, right in the middle of Midtown, but hidden away in a gated courtyard. There's dining options suited to all at the Lotte New York Palace, from luxury brunch to baked goods, whatever you opt for you'll be in for a treat. Enjoy handmade cocktails in one of Manhattan's most popular bars, Trouble's Trust, or relax in 19th century-style surroundings in Rarities - either make for the perfect post-day-in-the-city tipples.

We felt safe from COVID-19 due to the increased sanitation procedures and the overall cleanliness of the hotel, and we applaud management for their efforts. Kal was the best part of our stay with his amazing recommendation for restaurants and museums. He really cares about his guests enjoyment and safety. He has extra masks in case you forget one, and provides excellent customer service. I will definitely come back next time I am in NYC. Read less

We had stayed. before but this time we were terrible disappointed. They could have given us a better room (in the back and in front of an air conditioner system) since the hotel was 90% empty during the pandemic. We also expected to be less expensive to attract people to come. Wi-fi was almost non existent, a few times the water came dirty and… Read more

We also expected to be less expensive to attract people to come. Wi-fi was almost non existent, a few times the water came dirty and had to wait a lot for the hot water to come. Service was through text and once we requested ice and took another call after waiting for more than 1/2 hour for them to respond. Read less

It was our 50th wedding anniversary.During COVID I didn’t have many options to celebrate. I called amex centurion and they said that the Lotte palace in NYC had just reopened and had a wonderful reputation so we decided to try it for 1 night. The room was a 1 bedroom in the towers that was enormous, elegantly decorated with every amenity you could ever want. The staff led by an assistant manager Miles Gomez and Mike the head bellman made us feel like royalty. THE ROOM SERVICE WAS LIMITED BY COVID BUT DID EVERYTHING TO MAKE US COMFORTABLE. THE RATES WERE REASONABLE FOR A 5 STAR NYC HOTEL. we will return soon. Read less
