Lotte New York Palace

Midtown, New York

Virgin rating

The hotel

Railroad magnate Henry Villard's 19th-century mansions were combined with a sleek tower to create one of the city's best hotels. It's a place where the staff greet you as if they have known you all their lives, and nothing is too much trouble. The location is one of the best in Manhattan, right in the middle of Midtown, but hidden away in a gated courtyard. There's dining options suited to all at the Lotte New York Palace, from luxury brunch to baked goods, whatever you opt for you'll be in for a treat. Enjoy handmade cocktails in one of Manhattan's most popular bars, Trouble's Trust, or relax in 19th century-style surroundings in Rarities - either make for the perfect post-day-in-the-city tipples.

Our second time staying here and can honestly say it’s one of the best hotels we’ve ever stayed in. The location is perfect, rooms are big (especially for NYC rooms!), the hotel is immaculate, feels super luxury and the staff just out of this world. They couldn’t do enough for us and really made a fuss of my 4 year old daughter on arrival and every time they saw her after that… absolutely made her day! Nana and Papa were her favourite doormen and she looked forward to greeting them each day. Also a massive special thanks for Mary Gomez in housekeeping. My daughter was sick in the middle of the night one night and Mary couldn’t do enough to help us getting all new bedding sorted for us then came back and knocked on the door a little later with a teddy in a bag for her and personalised note, what an absolute superstar, made my daughters day when she woke up to that. A wonderful caring lady and a credit to the hotel. I just could write all day about how wonderful this hotel was, we stayed for 5 nights and wish we’d booked longer. NYC already has our hearts and Lotte palace does now also. Read less

Lovely hotel in a superb location. Many positives - quiet, excellent staff, large room. We were even given an impromptu "behind the scenes" tour. Fantastic!! A few negatives - double bed was too small to be comfortable for two people who are accustomed to a king bed; no bathroom fan (we had to open the windows to exhaust shower steam and odor);… Read more

A few negatives - double bed was too small to be comfortable for two people who are accustomed to a king bed; no bathroom fan (we had to open the windows to exhaust shower steam and odor); not enough lounge area (the lounge area was nearly always occupied by conference attendees). I would stay here again but being aware that it has some drawbacks. Read less

We stayed at the Palace 4 days and the experience was a dream. We were greeted by Omar and Samir who helped us with our bags and throughout our visit, guided us with our daily activities. The Palace in itself was a fantastic experience and these 2 guys made it over the top great. Thanks Omar and Samir! We’ll be back soon
