Lotte New York Palace

Midtown, New York

The hotel

Railroad magnate Henry Villard's 19th-century mansions were combined with a sleek tower to create one of the city's best hotels. It's a place where the staff greet you as if they have known you all their lives, and nothing is too much trouble. The location is one of the best in Manhattan, right in the middle of Midtown, but hidden away in a gated courtyard. There's dining options suited to all at the Lotte New York Palace, from luxury brunch to baked goods, whatever you opt for you'll be in for a treat. Enjoy handmade cocktails in one of Manhattan's most popular bars, Trouble's Trust, or relax in 19th century-style surroundings in Rarities - either make for the perfect post-day-in-the-city tipples.

This is a beautiful hotel, with a spectacular lobby and some beautiful old salons that are worth seeing. The guest rooms are lovely, but not as nice as you would expect for a hotel of this standing. This is the only luxury hotel I have stayed in in the past 5 years, anywhere in the world, that lacks in-room coffee of some kind. For that reason… Read more

What an amazing hotel! We have tended to book quirkier establishments in the past in NY, but wanted a nice spot as we were only staying two nights this time round, and the Palace didn't disappoint! Fantastic lobby, five star service and a great room with amazing views. The best thing about the hotel though is probably the location - we took one cab during the whole two days as the hotel is just so close to everything! My wife has said this will be our only NY hotel from now, on, so I better start saving! Enjoy :) Read less

Would definitely book here again. Staff was on pointe and service was impeccable. The food and drink were amazing. We spent time in the courtyard relaxing and it stayed cool throughout the entire summer day.
