Lotte New York Palace

Midtown, New York

The hotel

Railroad magnate Henry Villard's 19th-century mansions were combined with a sleek tower to create one of the city's best hotels. It's a place where the staff greet you as if they have known you all their lives, and nothing is too much trouble. The location is one of the best in Manhattan, right in the middle of Midtown, but hidden away in a gated courtyard. There's dining options suited to all at the Lotte New York Palace, from luxury brunch to baked goods, whatever you opt for you'll be in for a treat. Enjoy handmade cocktails in one of Manhattan's most popular bars, Trouble's Trust, or relax in 19th century-style surroundings in Rarities - either make for the perfect post-day-in-the-city tipples.

Even with COVID, everything was extremely sanitary and dependable. I did not feel the least bit unsafe with the protocols and how the staff had handled everything. Miles Gomez was outstanding for us and able to accommodate our stay in the best ways possible!! I would not stay at any other hotel in NYC after staying here. Along with Miles, Nancy and Luis also made our stay so wonderful and made us feel just at home at this mega star hotel! Read less

Great stay, with the best service and beautiful rooms. Anni Bedrodhan and Kal Naim at the concierge were great as well. Even in the Covid context, the hotel staff made us feel great and assisted in organizing beautiful plans in NYC.

Room was exceptional with views of the cathedral. The bars in the hotel are also great, made it easy to catch up with old friends just before the trip was coming to an end. Cleanliness was also great.

This review is not as a hotel guest, but a visitor to the hotel while exploring sights in the city. My boyfriend and I were looking around the beautiful lobby on our own, when we were greeted by a staff member named Maurice who offered to chaperone us on a personal guided tour around key parts of the hotel! He walked us through several beautiful rooms, including a ballroom and a library, sharing facts with us about the hotel itself and famous Gossip Girl scenes that were shot there. He also recommended several photo spots and took pictures for us so we could remember our visit. He clearly enjoys his job, and the experience was very cool and special. Thank you, Maurice! Read less
