Lotte New York Palace

Midtown, New York

The hotel

Railroad magnate Henry Villard's 19th-century mansions were combined with a sleek tower to create one of the city's best hotels. It's a place where the staff greet you as if they have known you all their lives, and nothing is too much trouble. The location is one of the best in Manhattan, right in the middle of Midtown, but hidden away in a gated courtyard. There's dining options suited to all at the Lotte New York Palace, from luxury brunch to baked goods, whatever you opt for you'll be in for a treat. Enjoy handmade cocktails in one of Manhattan's most popular bars, Trouble's Trust, or relax in 19th century-style surroundings in Rarities - either make for the perfect post-day-in-the-city tipples.

Great hotel, the location is fantastic, room service is very puntual and great service, just a little overpriced. Definitely we will stay there again. The concierge was really helpful and the restaurant that recommended us was great ( Benjamin’s steak house )

The hotel was lovely and a good location. I feel for the price the service should be terrific. It wasn’t. I called for ice. Since there was no bucket in our room they said room service would bring it up. 45 min later I called again to ask for the ice. He said It should have been there by now and he’d check. Another 20 min I called again. They couldn’t understand why it hadn’t been delivered. Finally after 1 1/2 hours I received ice. Simple I know but it goes to the service. Also when checking out we couldn’t seem to get any help leaving the hotel with our bags. There was a doorman outside and he watched as we struggled out the door with our large bags. I wouldn’t recommend this expensive hotel Read less

The location of this hotel in Mid Town New York City is absolutely fantastic. You can walk to so many great restaurants, shopping and sights. However, the room was a little dated. The faucet leaked like crazy and the sink had a huge crack in it. They couldn't fix it because the washroom looked like it needed a total gut. There is no ice machine… Read more

The faucet leaked like crazy and the sink had a huge crack in it. They couldn't fix it because the washroom looked like it needed a total gut. There is no ice machine and it took about 20 minutes to get ice from the concierge. Minor irritations, so overall a good experience because the location is so amazing. Read less

WiFi is included on corporate rates. Decent speed. Reception is very lovely. Had a very kind gentlemen Mamés Daniel who checked me in and delivered exactly what I needed. A high floor and room away from the elevators. Only a few pet peeves: 1- express check out option at check in or from the room TV. 2- coffee makers in the rooms. 3- better system to print boarding passes. Overall a very enjoyable stay while in business. Read less
Image of the Tripadvisor rating Conference handled well

Attended the foot and ankle conference. The hotel handled everything so well. From the check in (thank you Daniel for the upgrade to a corner room), gym being open early, clean rooms, great location, and just perfect facilities. Oh and the conference food was really good which is a huge surprise.
