My wife and I were in NYC over the Thanksgiving Holidays and elected to stay for the first time at the Marriott Marquis. We have stayed at few Marriott properties in Asia, all of which were delightful. Being guests at the Marriott Marquis on Thanksgiving, we decided to dine at their Thanksgiving Buffet. WHAT A MISTAKE!!! The turkey and ham were dry and tasteless, the other dishes were uninspired and overcooked. My wife best described it as boarding school food. The variety of dishes were very limited and to make the buffet look more substantial, the buffet had at least 2 presentation of each dish. There was universal negative chatter from the other conference attendees. I mentioned my disappointment to the clerk at check out who was disinterested and dismissive. USD99++ AVOID, the street food is better. Read less

Service and staff was absolutely terrible, the room was dirty, smelled and was in need of maintenance. M Club allows 2 guests, charged full price for our 4 year old. Host/front desk staff incredibly rude. No Ambassador upgrade considered. The most awful hotel I’ve had to stay at.

Excellent hotel in the heart of Times Square. Stayed for 6 nights and had no negative experiences. Staff were all friendly and helpful. Check-in went smoothly and got an upgraded room with a great view. Pricey for food and drink but very comparable with other places that we visited during our stay. Would definitely stay here again.

Pretty good hotel. You get $30 to spend at the restaurant each day you are there. There is a starbucks and a mini grocery store in the hotel too. It is very close to a lot of landmarks. there is a cute gelato place right next to it
