Image of the Tripadvisor rating Cool Hotel To Experience Times Square

The hotel is definitely cool for checking out for the cool elevators and Times Square. The cool elevators are glass up the 45 story hotel building, but if you are scared of heights, it's not a great option. They do have a closed elevator in the center of the hotel elevator bank. The rooms are ok but have an amazing view of Times Square. They have… Read more

The rooms are ok but have an amazing view of Times Square. They have a rotating restraunt on the top floor that is cool. It is also good for New Year's Eve because it automatically gives you a spot to see the ball drop. The prices then are very pricey. The lobby is nice also with a green forest feeling. I would recommend staying here as a tourist visiting NYC. Read less

I have stayed at this hotel many times. It is simply the best in times square. I didn't even have tickets this trip and I still chose to stay here. The service is excellent. Dereck, Hansel, all the M club staff is friendly, helpful, professional. The house keeping is perfect. Brought us extra pillows quickly when requested. We need a bit of… Read more

We need a bit of front desk help this time and they were quick to help us with a lost key. I can stay other places, but I choose this one every time. Read less

Located right in the hustle & bustle of Times Square. You can't be that. Rooms are large and very comfortable. Very quiet room. The view from the higher floors is incredible! We stayed only for two nights but enjoyed every minute of our stay at this Marriott hotel ! The staff is very nice as well !

The hotel is nice but not five star nice to justify the prices in the bars/restaurants/gift shop. It’s the location you pay for. It is in TS and near all the Broadway shows. We didn’t use the transit system out of safety concerns. There are plentiful taxis/pedi cabs . The taxis take credit cards. You can easily walk to Radio City or 30… Read more

We didn’t use the transit system out of safety concerns. There are plentiful taxis/pedi cabs . The taxis take credit cards. You can easily walk to Radio City or 30 Rock. Going to The Battery for the ferries or the 9-11 site you will want to taxi. The rooms have lots of power outlets but not many USB ports-there are two on the nightstand clock only. The bed is firm to our taste. Read less
Image of the Tripadvisor rating More restrictive destination fee than the other NY hotels

I stay in NY hotels each month and they all charge a destination fee which can be credited towards hotel meals etc. I usually save up this $40/day credit for a few days to get a nice dinner in the hotel restaurant but this is the only hotel I’ve stayed where this is not possible. Here they insists that you use or lose the credit each day. When I checked in late last night they informed me that I had already lost the credit for the day as the restaurant was about to close. They also gave me a heads up that I wouldn’t be able to use it for breakfast on the day that I check out because it will expire the day before checkout. I double checked with Bonvoy membership who said that this is up to the hotel so nothing they could do. The hotel is ok but I won’t be coming back - I will go to one of the many other hotels that have a more reasonable destination fee policy. Read less
