First, this is a huge hotel, catering to lots of people from all over the world, plus convention and company meetings. It’s location is awesome, especially if you plan to see a show on Broadway - some of the top shows like Hamilton and Tina Turner are literally steps away. We were greeted and treated very well by the staff upon checkin. I use and highly recommend Marriott’s mobile app, which speeds things up a bit and lets you use your phone as a key. Our room was awesome, located on a corner and a high floor, with a beautiful view of the city and the Hudson River below. My only slight disappointment was the restaurants - they are both showing wear and tear and are a bit outdated - they really need a renovation. And The View is a pretty location but unreasonable expensive for so-so food. It’s nice for one drink, but no more. One last positive - the fitness center is big and surrounded by glass windows - lots of equipment and a great workout is waiting for you if you are game. Read less

We stayed at this Marriott over New Year's Eve, 2019. It was very exciting. Our adult children and spouses were downtown stairs in the street, while my husband & I were in an are of the hotel that we could see the street. My husband and I had a romantic dinner at The View Restaurant and Lounge. It was an experience we'll never forget.

This hotel property is in an amazing location, right in the heart of Times Square. The Marriott Marquis NYC is incredibly clean and all of the staff are warm & welcoming. They are truly welcoming and as a Bonvoy Elite member, I felt appreciated and valued. The hotel has also just introduced a new system for the elevators. It is fast & easy to use! This property will be the only place we stay in the Big Apple! Special thanks to all of the staff for making our stay such a memorable one! Great job! Read less

I’ve been a Marriott member for over 30 years. I’ve stayed at some amazing Marriotts around the world and a few bad ones. This is one of the worst. I will never stay there again. There is really nothing good I can say about my 4 day stay. In hindsight I should have left after the first night. The staff was rude and dismissive. The elevators are… Read more

There is really nothing good I can say about my 4 day stay. In hindsight I should have left after the first night. The staff was rude and dismissive. The elevators are horrible unless you enjoy waiting 5 minutes for one. Also, don’t try to get a late check out. Even though I have Gold status they would not even consider letting me leave at noon.
