I understand there’s a pandemic and they are short on staff, well from what the lady downstairs said they have one housekeeper for a 40+ story hotel SMH... just one. I don’t understand how they can leave a guest waiting for toiletries. My room is freezing cause we like it that way and I don’t want to step out and back in and risk being sick... yes I guess I am being petty, but why would this be my fault. The staff is rude, besides the lady who checked us in (she was nice), and the manager is worse. I’ve stayed at plenty of Marriotts, and I actually am a builder who has built the Marriott brand. This Marriott does not hold up brand standards. The gym is open from 5:30 to 11:30, and in my opinion those are just weird hours. It’s like they are trying to force you in and out. There is no breakfast so you have to order or leave, which leaves you no time really hit the gym unless you disturb your sleep. It was really noisy last night in the hotel for a 10-20% occupancy so I’m “guessing” they are loading the floors. As I write this I am still waiting for toiletries. Why can’t the manager just bring them herself? This is not leadership. She should be fired for running the Marriott brand in this way. Looks like I should have used our timeshare instead. Now my question is, why were the containers not filled in the first place when the room was initially cleaned. We will be leaving and I will just eat the cost and book elsewhere. I’m not going to let Marriott or their rude manager ruin my stay in New York. I put the day of stay and the room number so they know. We will call Priceline to see if they can help us with a reimbursement for our own toiletries which my fiancé has just left to buy or a refund for the room. We are leaving! Read less

I checked with their front desk manager, he said the housekeeper thought i already checked out (actually the room was fully paid till the week after) and took all my stuff to the lost & found. But then no one had a record for that and no one could ever find a single item from the lost & found. I reported to Marriott and to the police but the hotel replied it's not their responsibility & didn't bother to investigate or seriously handle the case. Ridiculous! The front desk manager confirmed that the housekeeper took all my belongings to the Lost & Found when I first discovered my belongings were gone. But the hotel very soon tried to deny their responsibility and walk away. They don't care the safety of your life and properties for staying at their hotel!!!!!!!! WATCH OUT! Read less

Excellent location, directly on Times Square. Spacious room, very comfortable and perfectly clean. Beautiful view of the Hudson through the window. Due to covid health measures, no breakfast or fitness room.

He also advised me I could get get little bites but no restuarant open, news flash no food. When I went to check in for my flight and wanted to print my boarding pass, news flash i was ntold that computer hasn't worked in some time. The maids where not the happiest, all the sanitizer stands inside, empty. I would've been better staying at a normally less expensive hotel. Had to go out for every meal , so I think I might be a non returner. Maybe your booking agents need more training. Room 3640, hey at least the a.c. worked. Checked in aug5 to the 10th. Read less

I had to travel via the highway (12-hour road trip) to New York with my husband, security team and a hired van driver (who was bizarre, but that is another story) to assist with a move to my New Jersey residence all during COVID-19, traveler advisory and required travel/health forms. We arrived at approximately 3am and Molinda (Night Auditor - Front Desk) was there to greet us and assist with my completely screwed up set of reservations. I had booked 4 rooms via a third party, but had accidentally cancelled one of the rooms. Molinda was so patient. She called the Manager (Vanessa) as I called the third party; they calmly and professionally resolved all of my issues. I am so super grateful. After the most strange 12-hour road trip with the driver; it was such a relief to be greeted and have everything managed with the greatest of ease. Vanessa assured me that she would follow up with me the next day in regards to the cancellation fee and honoring the previously booked 3rd party rates. Well, in these challenging times, I prepared for the worst, but received the BEST. Vanessa indeed followed up and EVERYTHING WAS MANAGED WITH THE UTMOST PROFESSIONALISM. Pros: Floor to ceiling windows, steps away from Times Square, Free Wifi, Refrigerator, spacious bathroom with built-in shower, SUPER clean, great view, housekeepers will ask if they can come in (due to COVID-19). Lots of social distancing signs throughout the property. We will definitely be back!! Read less
