The hotel staff were are very friendly and helpful, the room was great and the beds were very comfortable. So why only 4 stars? There was an inexcusable wait for the restaurant. The first morning, we had to wait around 15 minutes to be seated for breakfast (lack of staff seating people, not lack of tables) I assumed this might be due to the fact they were extra busy as this was Easter Monday. No, this was the same all 3 mornings. We were "encouraged" to use the buffet, but that was over $30 and we don't eat that much for breakfast. We ordered off the menu and every morning some of our order was forgotten. We also had an early dinner one night before going to a show and the same thing, a wait to be seated. Having said that, I would definitely stay here again and recommend it, just maybe avoid the restaurant. Read less

We had arrived 7 hours later than expected, 11:30pm instead of 4:30pm. Traveling from the west coast we were exhausted. The front desk service when we arrived was fantastic and courteous. 3 hours later, I was awoken by water dripping on my face only to find my pillow wet and the center of the bed wet. We discovered a leak coming from the celing over the bed and away from the sprinkler. We were so exhausted, we simply put all the towels over the wetness and tried to sleep. Next morning we notified hosptality and was told to tell the front desk as our room would be comped. We told the front desk and told to move rooms. When we checked out I asked if our 1 night stay would be comped and the front desk agent was very condesending and asked me who I knew that worked for Marriott, beause we received a room discount through friends and family program. She stated "we already gave you $100 off." She told us we were moved to a higher priced room and therefore sufficient compensation. I talked to the manager to no avail. Bottom line, I paid $306.57 (after $100 discount ) to sleep in a wet bed. I have been a loyal customer of Marriott for years and never had a problem. I was quite surprised and even shocked at the condesending degrading attitude I received for simply asking... Read less

We stayed for 5 nights and on arrival the staff were friendly and checking very fast and the guy behind the desk very very helpful and polite! our room was a deluxe newly renovated room which was absolutely fantastic! (The last time I stayed in NYC 7 years ago I stayed at the Row and their rooms were tiny and the bathroom door wouldn’t close if you were on the loo because of the box toilet 😂) these rooms at the marriot were huge! More like a suite! If we came to New York again I would 100% stay here without a doubt! We booked as a package through virgin holiday for this part of our holiday and they recommended this as a good hotel! If you’re staying here it’s worth signing up to Bonvoy to get free Wi-Fi! If you’re unsure ask at the desk when you check in! Checkout was east - we did it by the tv in the room and then dropped the key off as we left! 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩 Read less
