The hotel

New York's Refinery Hotel provides a stylish and elegant twist within an exceptional Midtown location. This is all about living the high life and you only need to glimpse at the Refinery's décor and exhibition space to know that they take their art as seriously as they take their patrons' comfort. From the incredible views from the rooftop bar to Parker & Quinn's inspired Euro-American gourmet menu, the Refinery enables you to have a fabulously chic experience in the heart of NYC's most fashionable district. The Empire State Building, Bryant Park and the Museum of Modern Art are all right on your doorstep and after a good day's shopping on 5th Avenue there's no better way to kick off your heels than at Winnie's Jazz Lounge with some live music and a cocktail or two to ease you into the evening. Parker & Quinn's Restaurant, the Refinery Rootop and the Hatbox gallery space all offer plenty of options as the sun sets and before you finally retire to your room you'll have one last chance to consider the fitness suite before you cosy into your crisp and comfy queen-size bed.

I cannot recommend this hotel enough. It offers a high end boutique destination in the heart of the city. Read less

We were stayed one night in a nearby hotel where the rooms were so small I think my wife was going to cry. The rooms at the Refinery are 280-300 sq ft. at least a third larger than the previous place. This saved our vacation. Good eateries nearby. Very little street noise. Staff was wonderful. Has a classic, refined, atmosphere.

First visit to New York and chose the perfect hotel. The location in midtown was perfect to explore New York as it's in easy walking distance of Bryant Park, The Library, Macy’s, Empire State and Madison Square Gardens (all less than ten minutes). Also Central Park was only about 25 minutes at our slow pace. The room was a good size for the three of us with two large Queen size soft beds and we loved the RoofTop Terrace where the service and views of the Empire State Building were just great. All the staff are amazing and very friendly. We were greeted very warmly on arrival (with a chilled glass of wine) and check-in was nice and quick. A special shout out goes to the incredible Stephanie; as this was a special birthday celebration, I contacted Stephanie ahead of our visit to arrange something special for our arrival. She went above and beyond and included some treats from the hotel too. Very kind. When we caught up with Stephanie, it was like meeting an old friend, she was so pleased to see us! She really looks after her guests and is an absolute credit to the hotel. So, a huge thanks to Stephanie and all the Team at the Refinery for making our first time in New York so special. We would certainly recommend The Refinery to anyone planning to visit New York. Read less
