The hotel

New York's Refinery Hotel provides a stylish and elegant twist within an exceptional Midtown location. This is all about living the high life and you only need to glimpse at the Refinery's décor and exhibition space to know that they take their art as seriously as they take their patrons' comfort. From the incredible views from the rooftop bar to Parker & Quinn's inspired Euro-American gourmet menu, the Refinery enables you to have a fabulously chic experience in the heart of NYC's most fashionable district. The Empire State Building, Bryant Park and the Museum of Modern Art are all right on your doorstep and after a good day's shopping on 5th Avenue there's no better way to kick off your heels than at Winnie's Jazz Lounge with some live music and a cocktail or two to ease you into the evening. Parker & Quinn's Restaurant, the Refinery Rootop and the Hatbox gallery space all offer plenty of options as the sun sets and before you finally retire to your room you'll have one last chance to consider the fitness suite before you cosy into your crisp and comfy queen-size bed.

Stayed at refinery hotel after sailing from the UK on Cunard Queen Mary2. Great location, room nice but smaller than expected. Angela and her team were really helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Great customer service. Enjoyed our 4 night stay and would return again in the future.

After a fantastic stay at the hotel for Halloween last year we wanted to come back and continue our experience. We had a big anniversary to celebrate and we had no hesitation in which hotel to choose. The mix of chic themed rooms, a jazz bar, a restaurant and atmospheric bar at street level (Parker & Quinn) and an excellent rooftop bar on 13th floor gave us plenty of options and, being located in such a great part of town meant we could easily explore, be it on foot, subway (34th St - a short walk) or cab. Big thanks go to Gabriel on front desk and Raymond and Bobby on the door and concierge who were great in suggesting places to go and things to do. Nothing was too much trouble. Raymond your recommendation of Keggs for the Champions League final (soccer) worked out perfectly. It's a very chilled hotel. You feel at ease the moment you enter from exploring the busy streets and the dimmed lighting gives it a great ambience and relaxed feel. The rooms were clean, trendy/arty in feel, double height ceilings, some bare brickwork and piping (as you'd expect in classic New York apartment style). Room 907 - perfect! Would we go back again? Yes absolutely and maybe later this year (if Phil Collins is a definite for MSG early October). These stays have been purely for a vacation but I would also recommend it for business trips as it provides a peaceful environment. The jazz bar on ground floor is ideal during the day. Read less

extremely good hotel. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Bloody expensive to eat and drink, but its central New York! (but at least Dick Turpin had the good grace to wear a mask!!!) Overall if money is't a problem, this hotel is fantastic, lovely rooftop bar, cracking restaurant downstairs and right slap bang in the heart of town.
