The hotel

New York's Refinery Hotel provides a stylish and elegant twist within an exceptional Midtown location. This is all about living the high life and you only need to glimpse at the Refinery's décor and exhibition space to know that they take their art as seriously as they take their patrons' comfort. The Empire State Building, Bryant Park and the Museum of Modern Art are all right on your doorstep and after a good day's shopping on 5th Avenue there's no better way to kick off your heels than at Winnie's Jazz Lounge with some live music and a cocktail or two to ease you into the evening. Excellent location in Midtown. Very nice lobby and bar area. We're a family of four, the supreme room worked fine, only problem was that there was not much room to store clothes. One night we were disturbed by construction work outside, but that could happen anywhere. Bryant Park is two blocks away, we got breakfast at the Wholefoods Market… Read more

This was about my 8th time there, and it's always great to come back. Same vibe, same superb roof-top bar, location, and service. They just keep it up! I came for business (location is close to most of my meetings), but i actually think this should be a great place for leisure travellers as well

Both rooms on our reservation were not ready at check in time and front desk staff acted like it was no big deal; not a great introduction to the hotel; we had 4 people arriving from all different directions (some had travelled from the Midwest) and having the rooms ready was a necessity. It took 65 minutes to correct the situation. Otherwise, the… Read more

The customer service is impeccable. Central to all amenities, plus a great view of the Empire State Building from the rooftop bar and some rooms.… Read more

Top-notch service at this gorgeous boutique hotel. Came in off an (early arriving) red-eye from SF and was only staying for one night, but the front desk staff got me settled in a beautiful room right away. Very comfortable bed allowed me to get a bit of sleep before the conference I was in for - so appreciated after not sleeping much on the plane! Had reached out to the rooftop bar to make a dinner reservation a few days prior and they allowed my sister and I (small group) to come in and celebrate a special occasion that night. Rooftop was stunning but especially nice given they let us make the reservation. Server was very kind and brought us complimentary prosecco to celebrate. Last but certainly not least, was rushing a bit to get to the airport for an 8am flight the next morning and came downstairs to find another customer checking out and discussing his bill. The front desk staff member (one person on staff given early hour) noticed me right away and without disregarding the man she was working with, printed my bill and quickly checked me out without me having to say a thing about being in a rush! Walked out the door to two taxis waiting and made it to LGA 10min earlier than I expected. Thanks so much for making my 24 hour stay excellent, Refinery Hotel and Rooftop Bar staff! Read less
