We are in the middle of a pandemic and I live on Long Island... we lost our power for like 5 days, so we decided to try to find something close to home. A lot of NYC hotels are not available right now however being that I’ve stayed at The Refinery before it was an easy choice! I was greeted graciously by the door man who escorted me to Aziza at the front desk. What a doll! She literally offered me free parking, upgraded my room and gave me a glass of wine! My daughter and I are enjoying the clean comfortable room so much we are staying another night! There is also a really cool rooftop here for drinks and food that is currently open! I’ll be back! The service was top notch quality, people always willing to help even at the late hours. The rooms were fantastic as well, clean, compact, and an amazing bathroom. Overall I would recommend this stay to anybody who don’t mind paying a pretty penny for the finer things in life😁

I had the pleasure of speaking with Aziza, the Director of Hotel Operations, who was extremely professional and such a delight to work with. She answered all of my questions and even helped me find a better rate than the deals offered on the booking websites. She also helped me secure a special experience at the magnificent rooftop restaurant where the great view, is only surpassed by the food. Their customer service is one of the best experiences I have ever had at a hotel. I highly recommend a stay at this Beautiful Oasis in the middle of Manhattan! Read less

Let me preface by saying I typically only stay in Forbes Five Star Hotels and I also work in the hospitality industry here in NYC at a very iconic luxury hotel. I am a big fan of ‘staycations’ and due to our current Covid-19 situation and travel bans, never has It been more appealing to do this. While of course many Hotels in NYC are still closed due to the pandemic, I stumbled upon the Refinery Hotel and stepped inside. Immediately I was won over by the intoxicating lovely scent, the beautiful decor, the long cat walk like entrance leading to reception and a beautiful cozy, warm feeling. I asked a very lovely manager named Aziza at the reception desk if she could kindly show me a few rooms and she truly went above and beyond and gave me such a lovely experience. We saw a room and a suite and I fell in love with the sleek bathrooms, stunning high ceilings, the dramatic corridors of the hotel and the exquisite Le Labo scent the use for their bath amenities. Aziza was so kind and gracious and dare I say, bubbly. Like she seemed very genuinely happy to work here and I very casually mentioned it was my birthday celebration last week and as I was departing she bestowed upon me some beautiful gifts- a lovely candle with their signature scent that also burns in the lobby, a chilled bottle of water (the temps were soaring in NYC so this was a very lovely gesture!) and even a Refinery Hotel Mask! I was so won over by how charming she was and I truly cannot wait to stay here. She even quickly showed me their fab roof top which is open for lunch and dinner with a stunning birds eye view Of the ESB. Thank you so much Aziza for taking the time to show me your beautiful hotel! Your warmth, beauty, and kindness meant so much to me! You made my day! I look forward to my stay at The Refinery! Stay safe and be well. Be sure to say hello to Aziza, she is a beautiful GEM! Her smile will brighten your day! Read less

The Refinery over met the expectations my boyfriend and I had. We had visited the hotel for an intimate wedding reception at their rooftop restaurant. As soon as we walked in we were met with the most amazing smell. We mentioned it to the extremely friendly front desk woman and she was so kind as to give us a candle. She also let us know that they are made for the hotel and have the smell infused throughout the hotel. They are also sold on their website. Highly suggest everyone buy them!! Even if she did not give us free candles we definitely would have bought them and will be before ours run out. The hotel is beautiful and everyone that worked there that we came in contact with were extremely professional, comforting and attentive. We will definitely be coming back and staying with them and can not wait until we do. The Refinery Hotel is a definite must stay. Read less
