New York's Refinery Hotel provides a stylish and elegant twist within an exceptional Midtown location. This is all about living the high life and you only need to glimpse at the Refinery's décor and exhibition space to know that they take their art as seriously as they take their patrons' comfort. The Empire State Building, Bryant Park and the Museum of Modern Art are all right on your doorstep and after a good day's shopping on 5th Avenue there's no better way to kick off your heels than at Winnie's Jazz Lounge with some live music and a cocktail or two to ease you into the evening. Parker & Quinn's Restaurant, the Refinery Rootop and the Hatbox gallery space all offer plenty of options as the sun sets and before you finally retire to your room you'll have one last chance to consider the fitness suite before you cosy into your crisp and comfy queen-size bed.

The hotel had nice facilities and was conveniently located (near Bryant Park, the Empire State Building, Korea Town, etc.). The guest rooms were clean & of good size. Often, hotel rooms in New York City can be feel quite cramped. These rooms & the bathrooms, however, felt fine to move around in. It was nice that there was also a restaurant… Read more

Second time at the Refinery. Great location, beautiful rooms, rooftop area so nice. Caught subway at 42nd street. Close to Bryant Park/ Macys. The Refinery Hotel is a wonderful smaller, boutique hotel located near the Theater District, Bryant Park and Rockefeller Center. We visited in early December and walked everywhere. We also enjoyed the Rooftop Bar. Helpful, friendly, staff; relatively quiet room despite being in NYC.

We walked into the Refinery after a long flight and queue in the airport. Jazz music rang out from the bar, and we forgot how tired we were. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful and we had a beautiful room. We freshened up and went down to the jazz bar where we managed to stay up and slip easily into New York time, with cocktails and food, sat on a very comfortable sofa. We had already booked into the rooftop bar the following afternoon and it was so lovely that we asked reception to book us in the following evening, which they did: although there were none available online. Free tea and coffee every morning was very welcome, but we also asked for tea and coffee making facilities, which were brought to our room within minutes, so we had a nice cup of tea before bed. The beds were divinely comfortable, the room was large and the bathroom was clean and well stocked, and the slippers and robe were very cosy. We left our luggage on the last day, but check out wasn’t until noon, so we were not rushed. Then a cab to the airport was arranged for us, at a set price, by the hotel. Everything about the refinery, from walking in, to leaving, was wonderful; the staff were lovely and very helpful, and I would highly recommend it. Read less
