Pros: - The location is great - close enough to walk to Broadway shows, Times Square, Central Park but just far away from the worst of the crowds. - Nice having a concierge lounge available and the location of it within the hotel was great, with big windows overlooking the street. We did enjoy spending time in here during the off hours when it wasn't busy. Cons: - The beds are uncomfortable and small. - Room was not as clean as I would like or expect. A pillowcase was dirty, the bathroom counter had not been throughly cleaned. - The hotel is generally in need of a renovation. Decor and finishings are dated. Outlets in the lamps by the beside didn't work. Marble bathroom counter was cracked and discolored. - Elite check in was slow. I ended up going to the regular check in because the one person working at the elite area was taking so long and no one seemed concerned about those of us on line for a while. The guest in front of me gave up in a huff and just dropped his room key on the counter before waking away. - Concierge lounge is not up to par. They were out of a number of things we would have liked - muffins at breakfast, dessert in the evening, they don't have grab and go type snacks out all the time like they do in others, it was too crowded and the seating area was not cleaned/kept up with during the day. There was a very nice gentleman cleaning tables during breakfast though. It wasn't terrible but wasn't great either. We'll probably consider a different property for our next trip. Read less

Out go to place. Busy but clean, neat and friendly. Lobby restaurant is nice place for breakfast to go then transforms itself into a bar for late night drinks. Great location a few blocks from Central Park

I always use this hotel in New York as the location is so convenient but like me it’s really beginning to show it’s age! . Simple things like the varnish worn away on the edges of handrails just makes it look so tired. Thank goodness for service lifts as all the customer lifts were out meaning we had to wait around 20 minutes to go up in a service lift as walking up 45 floors with a suitcase was not an option! The club lounge doesn’t feel exclusive at all and watching the bun fight as soon as the free food comes out at 5.30pm is embarrassing! Love the location but sadly need to think about a different hotel next time as I left this time feeling a little saddened by the whole experience. Read less
