Really don’t know why some people are moaning About this place , the hotel I thought was amazing ! The location was amazing , on arrival we were handed a bottle of water and the bell boy helped us to our room he explained how the lift works , explained about the mini bar and that if we opened it it triggers and will charge to the room , the staff that we did speak to were very friendly we only spoke to them checking in and out and the bellboy other than that there was no need to but again I thought they were friendly , before I went I saw quite a few reviews commenting on the lifts and how bad they are ? And I had heard a couple of people grumbling about then , why I don’t know because I thought they were very good so there is 8 lifts you touch the screen on the wall press the floor you are on then it will come up on the screen as to which lift will take you there , I think the longest I had waited for a lift was around 40 secs so I really don’t see the problems with the lifts at all in fact I thought it was one of the best systems I have seen , I was also worried after reading some of the reviews about the charges some people said they accrued from the mini bar and at the end but at the end of my stay I was told I had nothing to pay , I didn’t open the mini fridge as I was told if I did it would trigger the system so I’m not sure why some people are saying it’s awful I didn’t want anything out of the mini bar so was no need to open Any way overall great hotel great staff , and the room was perfect we stayed there for 4 nights Read less

I made a reservation to come in July 2019 for $ 69 per night (Marriott fare) and 1 week later I receive an email telling me that the fare that was opened and displayed was a mistake and that He modifies my reservation and changes my rate to 109 dollars a night. I hope an upgrade on my arrival and a commercial gesture Read less

The Sheraton New York Times Square Hotel is one of my favorite hotels in Manhattan. The rooms are comfortable and, during this last stay, I was upgraded to the fabulous club suite on the 49th floor. Great breakfast and hors d'oeuvre in the ground floor club lounge.

Reception is very NOT pleasant to deal with, supper rude!!! Rooms supper small, beds are not comfortable. Plumbing is terrible, toilets are clogged , we had to wait 45 min for service to come, not even mentioning it was 1:30 am For NY center hotel disappointing!!!

Although this hotel is a bit pricey, the reality is that any decent hotel in Times Square is going to be expensive. This one is worth the price! This hotel is conveniently located in Times Square, a short walk from the best Broadway shows, excellent restaurants and tons of tourist attractions. Tried to contact hotel before our stay (we arrived on New Year's Eve and I was worried about getting into the area with our luggage as NYPD blocks the area for the ball drop and won't let anyone through with anything bigger than a purse). I got very little by way of a response from the hotel prior to our arrival (and did not get an answer to my question) so I was very wary of service before we arrived. However, once we were there, the staff at the Sheraton were amazing! They were all extremely polite, gracious and helpful. When I signed in for wifi, I was asked to take a 30 second survey and was asked what they could do to improve my stay. I indicated that more coat hangers would have been nice. We went out to see a show right after and when we returned, there were about a dozen extra hangers in the room! Room was extremely comfortable, had a minifridge and a safe. Had read some complaints about the elevators but whatever bugs existed before they appear to have completely worked them out because the elevators were extremely efficient (we didn't have to wait once). I cannot recommend this hotel enough! (BTW, for anyone arriving on NYE, I eventually managed to find out that NYPD will let you pass with luggage IF you have a printed copy of your hotel reservation to show them) Read less
