While I was at my favorite hotel in New York City, I happened to meet 2 wonderful women that work for the hotel. Jaqueline Robinson works for housekeeping. She is so friendly. I feel she should be dealing with people all of the time because she is very nice and will help you any way possible. My room had never been so fresh and clean. I had to… Read more

I feel she should be dealing with people all of the time because she is very nice and will help you any way possible. My room had never been so fresh and clean. I had to tell Rosely Castillo who is a housekeeping manager. What a wonderful person Rosely is. She was also very nice and very receptive to my compliments of Jaqueline. I feel it necessary to mention Philepe at the front desk. He was a great help to me. Read less

PROS The hotel is in a good location. The lobby is lively. There is a Starbucks located beside it that can be accessed through the foyer. The staff were pretty friendly and sorted out a mixup with our bill (eventually). The female bartender was great and working really well under a lot of pressure. Nice toiletries in the bedroom. The staff were pretty friendly and sorted out a mixup with our bill (eventually). The female bartender was great and working really well under a lot of pressure. Nice toiletries in the bedroom. Housekeeping was done efficiently. CONS We were in a family room with two double beds however it was pretty small and there wasn’t much room to move about once you had four cases there. The windows are filthy which spoils the views of New York. The curtains and blinds need replaced. The bathroom is absolutely tiny, a bit grubby needs updated urgently. The whole place could do with an update. Read less

A decent hotel in a decent location. Handy enough base from which to explore. Times Square was a short walk away; Grand Central Station was just down the road so is the Chrysler building. You will need to be prepared to walk to a subway or nearby attractions - it’s close to certain things but also far enough away to be just out of the madness of… Read more

You will need to be prepared to walk to a subway or nearby attractions - it’s close to certain things but also far enough away to be just out of the madness of the likes of Times Square. Staff seemed friendly and helpful, didn’t have much need to interact with them. The room was basic - but did the job. The bathroom was slightly dated. Was a cool street market on the day we arrived which was fun to explore - even had a stall selling deep fried oreos! Read less

We booked the Hemingway Suite which has a wrap around balcony. We booked this room specifically for the balcony. The cost of the room was significant. We checked into the room only to find out that the hotel was no longer allowed guests onto the balcony. We were never informed that they had restrictions on the room and at the outrageous price it should have had the balcony. We ended up checking out and going to another hotel with a balcony at 1/4th the price. Totally disappointed! Read less
