Image of the Tripadvisor rating Terrible billing issue - wasting several hours of my time to resolve

I am a Marriott Titanium elite which is the second highest level in their reward program, which make this experience even more flabbergasting. I had made a reservation and cancelled it 3 days ahead of time as specified on the reservation confirmation to avoid billing. (May 29 7:30 PM eastern with plenty of time before the end of the day.) Now 2 months later a one night charge shows up on my credit card. I have email confirmation of the cancellation and the time, and the Bonvoy elite customer service dept pulled up my reservation and cancellation information and confirmed I was correct. But after three calls from Marriott Customer Service the hotel will not budge. I am asking Marriott to remove this hotel from the Marriott brand and meanwhile I will file a dispute with my credit card. Unbelievable that this hotel will blow off a loyal Marriott customer as well as blow off Marriott Corporate support. Read less

Super convenient location for easy walking to the UN, Grand Central, Times Square, Bryant Park, Empire State. Rooms are classic old-school New York tiny in size. Try getting a room above the 20th floor for less street noise. There are earplugs in the nightstand otherwise. Concierge is helpful and friendly. Bottles of water at the front desk,… Read more

Try getting a room above the 20th floor for less street noise. There are earplugs in the nightstand otherwise. Concierge is helpful and friendly. Bottles of water at the front desk, coffee, tea, and bubbly water available at all times in the lobby. Starbucks is right next door, and Ashleys Find Foods is right across the street. Just skip the breakfast buffet in the morning as the offerings are quite limited and quality is very mediocre for the price. Go across the street for a fresh smoothie, bagel or eggs, bacon and toast. Image of the Tripadvisor rating Great place to stay in Midtown Manhattan

Very good service, although had to wait till 4pm to get my room (1 hr wait). I do not know if this is typical in Manhattan. Once room was available, we were pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness and modern bathroom. Shower was great. The room was not spacious, but we paid for a small room.

Stayed with my family on a 3 day trip to NYC - great location. The four of us stated in a room with double beds which was relatively generous in size for New York. Not great facilities in the room re tea and coffee etc but unlimited tea and coffee and bottles of water in reception which you could bring to room. Would recommend

I stayed at this hotel for three nights and found the rooms small and dated. The shower was broken and there was a lot of noise that could be heard from outside. The reception area and bar are modern but the rooms let this hotel down and could do with refurbishment. The breakfast was okay with a variety of continental options however the local diners are just as nice if not better with cooked options. The location is good and as we were only staying for three nights after flying in from Mexico we were luckily out of the room most of the time. I probably wouldn't pick this hotel again but as I said it's good base for tourists. Read less
