Standard Rooms are 300 sq ft offering city views with either 1 king-size bed or 2 double beds, sleeping maximum 4 adults.
Deluxe Rooms are slightly bigger at 400 sq ft offering city views and an additional sitting area. These rooms have 1 king-size bed sleeping maximum 2 adults. 


Studio King Rooms are an expansive 450 sq ft with city views, 1 king-size bed and a sleeper sofa, sleeping maximum 3 adults.  


Upper Stories Rooms are situated on the highest floors of the hotel, offering breathtaking panoramic views, and access to the Upper Stories Lounge. We decided to stay at Thompson mainly due to our globalist status and the location. We had an awesome stay. We arrived in the morning so our room was not ready. We dropped our bags and wandered around central park and visited the Guggenheim. When we got back to check in, we were upgraded to a suite. Room was awesome. Very spacious. Nice shower.… Read more

We dropped our bags and wandered around central park and visited the Guggenheim. When we got back to check in, we were upgraded to a suite. Room was awesome. Very spacious. Nice shower. Lots of storage for our stuff. Lovely sofa and lounging area. Breakfast was nice. Large space, so no wait. It seems the work out room was under renovation so there was a small makeshift area that we used. It was adequate for what we needed, but we were informed if we needed more facilities, we could get a free day pass to the large gym across the street. Although tempting we never explored this option. Spent most of our time exploring NYC. Staff was helpful and friendly. Would stay again. Read less

Beware with the bouchers they tell you at the check in because at the end they dont consider at your bill. Kind of a scam to spend at the property, the burguer restaurant its a Carls jr reloaded by the way.

I only like to stay in upper Manhattan and this hotel is located next to Central Park and all the 5th ave stores. I usually stay at the Plaza, which is beautiful, but honestly I will be booking all my future stays here, due to the big spacious rooms, the amazing service and the location is parallel to the Plaza.

Location was great, room size was bigger than i was expecting. Some of the fees i didn’t agree with but it is what it is. There was a few benefits i don’t know i had, the gym at the hotel is not great but they give day passes to lifetime across the street. Which i know when i checked in

Good not great. Not worth the price though well located. Service is not of high Hyatt standards. Disorganized and unfriendly staff.
