Where better to have a Virgin Hotel than in the heart of the Big Apple. NoMad is an area privy to some of New York’s iconic architecture, and this hotel certainly fits right in. 39 floors tall with floor-to-ceiling windows and a rooftop pool offering breathtaking views of Lower Manhattan and the Empire State Building. 463 chambers across 38 floors, all of which are uniquely designed and consist of two spaces separated by sliding doors. The first area ‘The Dressing Room’ features a full vanity, make up desk with mirror, extra large shower, and a closet for two. On the other side of the sliding door is ‘The Lounge’ featuring the bed, mini-bar*, and HDTV. All chambers feature floor-to-ceiling windows, air-conditioning, yoga mat, custom sensor lighting, ample outlets for smartphones, laptops and other electronic devices, and bathroom amenities.  

King Chambers feature 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 2 adults. 

Chamber Double 2 Beds sleeping maximum 4 adults.

Excellent Work by the entire staff to keep the guests happy. It was a nice and clean hotel as it’s newly built but great care has been taken to provide a business traveler a good experience. The staff at the hotel most notably Endrik, Chris, Glen and Jeannette went out of their way to take care of the guest requests in a timely manner.

Room was amazing with views of The Empire State Building and a seperate dressing room - this made it feel like your own mini manhattan apartment! The hotel reception is very dark and underwhelming - no grandeur at all. The hotel lift system also caused much confusion for many guests! The hotel likes you to contact them with Service Requests through the Lucy App - although most of the time they just ignore them, so it’s pointless. I found the customer service levels at this property were severely lacking considering it is a part of the Virgin brand and for the room rates charged. I appreciate it is a new property but there really is a lot of work to be done! My room wasn’t cleaned on several occasions and when it was things were missed like dirty towels in the shower. I ordered Room Service one evening and the order was missed meaning it was nearly 2 hours from ordering. They still charged me the Tray Fee and Service charge. Also the dirty tray was still outside my room some 18 hours later! Reception were very slow on checkin and checkout - the lady just stared at the screen whilst constantly clicking on a mouse with no explanation as to what she was doing. I was overcharged on departure and basically told when i queried it to contact Guest Services via email. A manager did eventually resolve this. I feel genuinely disappointed that i have had to give this hotel just an average rating as in terms of location and room style - it really has the WOW factor. Unfortunately the service lets it down - staff need to be more friendly and less pretentious. Guests pay a great deal to stay here and are not an inconvenience. Read less

Unknown additional charges were added to my room stay, after multiple calls to the hotel and messages left on the voicemail of the finance team, I am still trying to get an answer from Virgin and a final bill for my stay.

Such a stunning hotel! They upgraded us to a higher floor (29th) and it had a view of the Empire state building and just stunning skyline of the city. We dined at Everdene for breakfast the morning that we were leaving and everything was delicious. 11/10. Would highly recommend and will definitely be back.

He gave us a room with the most beautiful view of the Empire State Building. He also went above and beyond and sent us up a cake for my girlfriend’s birthday. If I could give this hotel… Read more
