The hotel

You may be in the heart of NYC but you’ll enjoy peace and quiet in a W hotel room. Head to The Living Room, complete with DJs and an extensive drinks list! The hotel’s Blue Fin Restaurant is also highly recommended, and comes complete with a sushi bar. If that's not enough, there's Dos Caminos serving Mexican fare, and a margarita bar! Directly facing the bright lights of Broadway, a dramatic, floating, stainless steel staircase leads the way to a semi-private alcove dining area where guests can kick-back and listen to the music of Miles Davis, John Coltrane and Dizzy Gillespie. A wonderful place to stay for couples, friends and family, you’ll also enjoy the W’s famous Whatever/Whenever service – nothing is too much trouble for the staff, all you have to do is ask!

It's a great location for things to do; it's close to everything. Our room was spacious and clean. The only thing I didn't care for was the bathroom only had frosted glass around it, which left little privacy. I understand wanting a modern look, but let's leave the bathroom alone in that area. Give us a real door and privacy. We ate at both restaurants, Blue Fin and Dos Caminos. Both were fantastic and the service was great. The Living Room Bar was a good stop before going out. All the bartenders were attentive and friendly. If Tripadvisor allowed for 1/2 stars, I would give W Times Square a 3 1/2, but since they don't, I feel they deserve a 4 and not a 3. Read less

Great location, very centric. Steps away from Times Square. Valet parking is a bit uncomfortable. Room was clean and large enough, features minibar, safe, the basics. Bar in the lobby is great. Features two great restaurants. Perfecf for a couples getaway.

Times Square is busy and smelly. This hotel is tired, old, and depressing. Rooms are very expensive for what you get. The concierge Jermaine was helpful and friendly. Housekeeping was prompt and consistent. That’s all the positive I can say about this place. Better to find a different hotel outside of Times Square.

The hotel lobby is on the 7th floor. Check in easy. We were given a room on the 35th floor which has a separate elevator which can be confusing to find. The room is nice. The bathroom has a kind of mirror where you can see in but blurry. that was a bit weird. The staff is great. The location is great. We have no complaints other than that strange… Read more

This was by far my favorite hotel in New York so far! The staff is so nice! We had a suite so it was great to keep the kids separated. The bed was comfortable. I would say though the outlets are scarce based upon where the furniture is and the shower could use another shelf. Other than that I would stay again for sure!
