W New York Times Square

Midtown, New York

The hotel

You may be in the heart of NYC but you’ll enjoy peace and quiet in a W hotel room. Head to The Living Room, complete with DJs and an extensive drinks list! The hotel’s Blue Fin Restaurant is also highly recommended, and comes complete with a sushi bar. If that's not enough, there's Dos Caminos serving Mexican fare, and a margarita bar! Directly facing the bright lights of Broadway, a dramatic, floating, stainless steel staircase leads the way to a semi-private alcove dining area where guests can kick-back and listen to the music of Miles Davis, John Coltrane and Dizzy Gillespie. A wonderful place to stay for couples, friends and family, you’ll also enjoy the W’s famous Whatever/Whenever service – nothing is too much trouble for the staff, all you have to do is ask!

A lovely hotel in the heart of Manhattan. Efficient staff and spacious rooms. Forget about the breakfast. It is not buffet. It is a la carte and the menu choice is not that wide. Its price? A rip off.

I really do love the vibe of this hotel. Booked a Fantastic Suite and was suitably impressed. I was accommodated on the 29th floor (high floor requested and high floor given). You enter this hotel at ground level and take the elevator to the 7th floor where the check in and lobby bar are located. If its your first time you will no doubt be impressed by the design and decor of the hotel. Every member of staff I encountered were friendly and helpful from check in and the bar to housekeeping. We decided to sleep later one day and requested that housekeeping come back later. They gave us a courtesy call just before the requested time to make sure we were ready. In room you enter the Fantastic Suite into the living area which encompasses a half bathroom, a comfortable sofa, a work desk, a large TV and the mini bar. There are two doors leading into the bedroom where the main bathroom is and a nice lounge chair by the window to take in some of the views of the city. The mini bar is stocked with a range of beers (Corona, Heineken and Amstel Light) as well as various spirits, soda and Gatorade. Normal mini bar prices for such a hotel apply. Room service requests were prompt. They advise 25 minutes when you call but they get to you as soon as possible. The only thing I think is a bad look on the hotel is that they charge you $9 for a bottle VOSS water. Its the small touches that can make a hotel stay special and I have seen these given complimentary at "lesser" hotels. The location is also ideal, right on Broadway at 47th street. With a Starbucks directly across the street and a Duane Reade Pharmacy at the end of the block you won't have to travel far for items of convenience. All in all a very good stay at my favourite hotel in NYC. Read less

This modestly priced, conveniently located hotel has great service. From the friendly check-in to the impeccable maid service, they check all the boxes and then some. When I registered comments through the brief online survey, they were addressed within the hour. I wrote that I needed two light bulbs changed, and "I wish I had a coffee maker in… Read more

When I registered comments through the brief online survey, they were addressed within the hour. I wrote that I needed two light bulbs changed, and "I wish I had a coffee maker in the room." The response both times was positive and immediate. It's not the most perfectly appointed hotel I have ever stayed in, but great service is a high bar that many fancier and more expensive hotels fall short of. Read less

I had wonderful stay at the W Times Square June 28 -July 1, 2019. From the moment I arrived till my departure every staff member made me feel at home and added to my festive weekend. Nicholas made me feel welcome at checkin and gave me advice for my stay while another staff member kindly gave me a much need Sangria. My room was very nicely decorated and spotless. I was in 3009 which has a partial view of Time Square north and a bit of the Hudson River. The lounge was fun with a cool vibe and the serving staff were outgoing and friendly. I look forward to visiting NYC again and look forward to staying at the W Times Square again. Read less
