The kiosk did not work so we had to use the desk. The room we were placed in 2134 had a significant shower leak into the carpet, smelled of mold, and a non working thermostat. Thermostat got fixed thankfully. But the shower leak and mold were still very bad. Day time staff offered a “deep clean” which did absolutely nothing. Night time staff actually got us put into a different room. (You can’t deep clean a leaking shower) The rooms were very small and there was no privacy. Bathrooms were made of glass you could see and hear everything going on in there. Not a great experience over all and will never stay at another Yotel. Read less

I would not recommend and look for a small furnished monthly rental for about $2500 if you're staying for more than a week. Read less

HOWEVER… the room was tiny (even though we paid extra for a Premium Queen View! (Could just about see the Hudson I suppose?!) …and it had an iron with ironing board (low priority) but no kettle or any drink facilities!! Reception said we could get hot water for room drinks from 4th floor restaurant- but restaurant were really annoyed by that & the few times they did oblige, charged us $1.50 per cup of hot water (plus wanted a tip!!) Had to turn tv volume up to provide toilet ‘privacy’ as only a glass screen divide!! No romance here!! Room was really hot at night (even though only April) & air con was rubbish, so we opened a window -but then busy road noise disturbed sleep! Nice friendly staff, so no reflection on them but not recommended to book. Read less

The hotel is just like in the photos. No surprise there. However, remember that they make you pay for Resort Fee for every night. When you book the room, be aware that it is not included. We told the receptionist that we didn't know this and he told us that it happens a lot, that it is written in small letters during reservation and that we are adults so we should have read everything carefully. It is like they do this so that people cannot notice. Maybe it's my bad but I have never had such experience at other hotels. It was my first experience with having to pay extra. Apart from this, the room is really small. It is hard to move around if you are two people. The toilet and shower are in the room separated by glass and the door does not fully close. So when you are in there, your partner will hear "whatever you do". You will hear people from the hall. The noise insulation is not good at all. On top of that, one morning, some staff were chatting really loudly in the hall at 7:20 that after 10 minutes we had to get up and warn them. They say they offer complimentary mini refrigerators, yet in reality it is veeery limited and not easy to come by. They are also in bad shape, so if you need it, it could be a problem. When I asked for one, one receptionist told me to check with her every day between 12:00-2:00 and wait in my room! I could get one after 4 phone calls. Overall, I will not probably not stay at another YOTEL. Read less

The kiosk was not working for us and other guests so the kind YOTEL team told us exactly hat to say to the people at the front desk to check in, seems like this happens often. Once we got checked in we headed to our room. As soon as we walked into our room there was a strong odor of mildew, the sheets had an ink stain on them, there were no towels, and we noticed the room was very hot. Once we sanitized everything my partner went downstairs to let the staff know about the quality of our room. They assured us that they would change our sheets and an engineer would look into the thermostat. We left to explore for a couple of hours and when we came back to our room to rest for a little bit it was even hotter! The sheets were changed at least but it still smelled off. We checked the thermostat and it was set to AC at 68 (the lowest it can go) degrees but the room temperature was 79 degrees. We opened the window and thank god it's on the bottom so we could feel a lull breeze come through. For the price we paid and the area the hotel is in, I expected more bang for my buck. The staff were very friendly but the rooms were awful. I wish we could have enjoyed our stay but unfortunately I don't think I will be booking or referring anyone here ever. Read less
