Moving our daughter to Brooklyn so we thought we'd spend a night in the city. Having stayed at Soho Grand about 10 years ago we thought we'd have another stay. Upon arriving, the valet and front desk staff were friendly and extremely helpful. The cool industrial vibe still looks fresh. The room is well appointed but the bed is extremely hard and, IMO, uncomfortable. No coffee pot in the room but it is available down the hall which means you have to get dressed before getting your morning pick me up. Gilligans, their outdoor bar, is a lively spot but the drinks are mediocre as is the food. It's NYC so expect higher than average prices. My husband and son grabbed a drink in the lounge before dinner. Surprised to be charged $14 for "bar snacks" which consisted of a few (literally) chips, wasabi peas, and nuts. Again it's NYC but even the Ritz comps the munchies. First request for our car at check out did not get communicated. Second call resulted in a pretty quick turn around but at this point had been waiting a good 20 minutes or so. The garage is across the street. Location was great for our needs but the details were lacking. If 1/2 stars were available I'd go with 3 1/2. Read less

The rooms are small but comfortable and clean. Bed super comfortable. Overall very cute hotel and ambiance. Beautiful bar with good coffee. Great location to explore Soho. I would highly recommend and stay again.

The hotel experience begins at the front door. A beautiful entry way leads you to the 2nd floor check in desk. The adjacent lounge is hopping most nights and is a local gem. The hotel reminds me a lot of a classic British hotel. Rooms are small (typical for Manhattan) but spotlessly clean and serene. You can see the Empire State Building and other midtown landmarks from some rooms. Concierge made several brunch recommendations that were fantastic. We had a beautiful stay and enjoyed every part of the hotel. Read less

Between Kendal at the front desk helping me with last minute reservations and special accommodations to Makke providing the best and most welcoming service possible (Im a New Yorker and Makke might just be the kindest and most professional individual I’ve encountered in hospitality). Thank you for making me feel like family and being there for me when I needed a temporary home :) Abby Read less

Top-shelf experience all the way for our wedding on May-25th 2019. JESUS was our point-of-contact for planning and financials - he was responsive and helpful with pragmatic suggestions. AMANDA was the events manager who appeared like an angel - available, yet unobtrusive throughout our 3.5/hour reception. JENNIFER BAUER managed room-rates/reservations and SEKOU was our first in-person impression and super customer-focused at the front desk. Our final, lasting memory was KIIALONI at the hotel entrance who shared hotel history and previewed the room renovations underway. Check-out THE CLUB ROOM ... it's a unique space and enhances the NYC vibe. Oh ... and we chose the venue based on the excellent food and the private dog park! Read less
