The hotel

Once a button and ribbon factory in industrial-turned-artist haven Tribeca, Walker Hotel Tribeca embodies the casual yet cool loft culture of the neighborhood with curated design and programming from boutique hotelier, Bridgeton Holdings. Drawing inspiration from Tribeca’s mid-century heyday of exclusive art galleries and silver screen entertainment, the 171 room property features timeless finishes while offering streamlined modern conveniences, sleek furnishings and stylish amenities. The hotel features three food & beverage outlets, including: lofty rooftop bar, The Flower Shop, laden with elaborate gardens and inspired by Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, a sub-cellar cocktail lounge in a hidden location that was discovered during the excavation process of the building’s conversion, Saint Tuesday, and a lobby outpost of renowned Blue Bottle Coffee.

Look no further for a great hotel in Tribeca. We stayed here for 4 nights and would have stayed longer. Quiet, good air quality, great bed.

The hotel is great! The experience went well, they have a rooftop, cafe, blue coffee, restaurant, and a speakeasy. The hotel is great! The experience went well, they have a rooftop, cafe, blue coffee, restaurant, and a speakeasy. The gym is interesting, if you like to work out during your trip maybe utilize another gym. The only hiccup was that our room was never ready when we asked for early check in, and then at check in, the room still wasn’t ready. We did get upgraded but they also forgot our complimentary bottle of wine. The room was clean / comfortable and perfect for just one night. I wouldn’t recommend for longer stays as the room is tiny and not spacious enough. Perfect for one person, a bit tight for two people but you make it work with the storage they offer / provide in the room, it’s like a giant drawer you can fit so much in so there’s more floor space. Nelson the bellhop is the reason for 5 stars! Great personality and super professional. It’s important to have positive people working at the front and Nelson is one of them! The front desk staff were nice but you can tell they were a bit stressed/overwhelmed with the requests. I don’t want to know that my room is still “dirty” just give me the first available room at check in. If we didn’t continue to ask they wouldn’t have called us like they said they would when a room was ready. Now I’m wondering if the room they upgraded us to was available to begin with and they didn’t want to give it to us early. Either way, it’s fine. Parking is down the street but be ready to pay quite a bit $100 for an SUV for 24 hours. The breakdown of taxes on the receipt at the time of check out was a bit wild too. It’s NY so not surprising. I wouldn’t stay again but I’d visit their restaurant / rooftop which is great. If you stay at the hotel you also get discounts for eating / drinking at their restaurant / roof etc. Overall, Nelson who’s just a bellhop made it worth it. Loved his vibe! Read less

The property itself was nice but the room was too small. Booked a king bed room thinking it would have more room but there was no where to even open a suitcase. They had drawers for storage under the bed, but you were able to open them because the other furniture in the room was blocking them. The floor near the bathroom was caving in, which made… Read more

They had drawers for storage under the bed, but you were able to open them because the other furniture in the room was blocking them. The floor near the bathroom was caving in, which made it impossible to shut the bathroom door— a horrible experience when sharing a room where you already are on top of one another. Also, the air conditioning did not get cool enough— a bad experience for NY summer. Would not recommend or stay here again. Read less
